Very nice rendition.. Just an honest review being R.D Burman Sir's die hard fan and also as I heard this antara 3 years back, released by respected Kavita Krishnamurti ji to give our own RDX a tribute..It's not "dukh se dubi hai ye niganhe".. it's "dukh se dubi hui niganhe" and that "hui" was sung differently which sounds unique. Infact in the"bojhal bojhal sari hawayen" that hawayen word was sung differently which even sounds better.
In R.D Burman Sir's any composition, the ornaments of the song already are so beautifully composed or sung, without those even little ornaments the song sounds incomplete at least for me.

Very difficult to pick any one song favorite song of RD Burman. Randomly, I am picking "Saavan Ke Jhoole ..." (from the movie, Jurmana).
By the way, is there any "major" Raga in which RD Burman never composed any song? Not sure if he composed anything in Amruthavarshini (originally a Carnatic Raga) in Bengali or Hindi songs. Just curious.

The song with this antara was originally recorded by Kavita Krishnamurthy in the movie. But later her version was removed post RD's death and Lataji introduced her song. Its a long story

I had to go back to KK's version to erase this horrific version from my memory. This is so heartless. What is "wake" it is एक। What is खोवे? It is खोए। It is not समय के छलनी, it is समय की छलनी। This rendition totally kills this अंतरा from both lyrics and सुर point of view. Very disappointing to say the least.

This antara version was mainly for the sad version of the song Kuch na kaho, sung by Lataji... But the film makers somehow retained the antara similar to the happy version sung by Sanuji.... Anyways nicely sung by U ❤

Thank you for bringing this to us. Personally, I like the recorded antaraa more, but that might be because I’m familiar with it. You’ve asked about favorite RDB songs. It keeps changing from day to day. Right now, I’m immersed in a couple: Aaro kaachhaakaachhi (Troyee) and Kaho kahaan chale (Bulandi). They have similar tunes. The instrumental interludes are other-worldly.
Soumyajit, your voice, Sourendro's magic with the keyboard, and the evergreen lyrics just made my day better! 🥰
