Went about 8 years ago. One thing I would add is going on a bicycle or Segway tour. It may cost a few bucks, but you can see many things on and around the mall in an afternoon or evening, while being lead by someone who is knowledgeable about the monuments and local area
Been three times in last 10 years, last time was in 2014. Two words... bike rentals. We rented them near the Mall and the longer you keep them, the cheaper they are. Had a nice Trek style lightweight bike for 5 days and they ended up costing about $200 a person, which was great compared to car rentals and Ubers.! Bike lanes run down the middle of every major street. It's the best way to get around DC imo...DC is also almost completely flat, so very few hills, so you cover ground so much faster, bike racks are everywhere, you can take you bikes on the Metro (except 2 hours during am and pm rush hour). Check it out if you go to DC. You'll thank me later.
Thanks for the information. I wouldn’t have thought to visit Gettysburg. There are several ship museums in Baltimore that I want to see and visiting Ft McHenry might be a good excuse to go see the ships also.
I'm trying to find a video and can't find this.... are we able to bring our own non electric scooters around DC? (We're driving our rv there so not needing to ride on a plane) would we be able to fold up and carry our scooters into the buildings? Or not?
Those are great questions but we do not know the answers to them. Around the memorials rollerblades & skateboards are not allowed, so I would assume non-electric scooters would not be allowed either.
Help please, stay at elk refuge inn or Jackson lodge end of September? I want to follow your advice go to schbacher landing for sunrise then Jenny lake. How far is Landing From inn and lodge?
Actually about the same distance maybe. But those are two wildly different hotels! Go for Jackson lodge if you can afford it - unforgettable experience.
It really does break my heart that the seat of our free republic is the least free, least republican city in our nation. I used the lowercase “R” on purpose as I’m referring to the principles & not the political party. Though both are true.
Thanks for watching! We offer self-guided tours to many places. Visit our website here: wereintherockies.com/store/

Thanks for the suggestion.
I’m taking my adult daughter there in two weeks. It’s short but going to be sooo sweet!!
Have fun!

That was very nice. Thank you❣️ I love DC😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Capitol Steps was a great thing to see! Unfortunately, they recently shutdown their performances after 39 years. A massive bummer.
How sad.
Seriously, can’t wait for our DC tour in October…
Me either Linda! I’ll see you there.
@@janicegriffith9810 it will be so fun. Can’t wait to meet you❤️❤️
Does the circulator run at night?
See the following website: www.dccirculator.com/ride/rider-tools/schedule/
So helpful! ❤exactly what I was looking for b/f I go to d.c. 😃 Tk you!
You’re welcome!

Totally disagree about the Holocaust Museum. It was life changing. And I knew the facts of the Holocaust, but the museum makes it real.

I can get a Jackson Lake cottage no available in lodge. Still better? Only can stay one night?
It’s still better. More secluded. Closer to wildlife. Elk refuge inn is fine but close to the main road.
DEAR MATT AND CHERYL, have you ever crossed over with Wolters World
No we have not.
They DID have a Circulator bus…gone.
😢
First mistake, going to DC.
Took the words right out of my mouth!

It breaks my heart that trolls like you feel the need to make political statements on a non-political UA-cam post.
