I love all Gorillas but Toto is my favorite. You really are seeing so much interaction between her an Sumo her calmness an gentle nature is nurturing an attractive to baby who I know she bonded with mom but I don’t see much nurturing hence why sumo is so independent but I believe she sees in Toto the nurturing an acceptance an Toto let’s her be herself an doesn’t force her to do anything. You can see contentment in her eyes. Also how well loved she is by other members an she an Momoko sits together more which is interesting. I'm a fan of all these gorillas but Toto owns my heart. ❤ She's got such a gentle and peacefull manner. I just love her sweet face with those adorable ears that protrude and bend forward just slightly. She so often gives up her food to the others without any resistance. If Genki in the Momotaro troop gets her food robbeb there is often mayhem following. 😂 Thank you for this wonderful footage of my favorite, Lady Toto.

There is not a lot of history for Toto.. Who raised her cos she was a infant when taken from the wild to go to a Japanese zoo.. Was she stolen and traded or orphaned?
I feel like I read somewhere Toto was rescued as a baby or young gorilla from an underground trading type operation. Can’t be sure but I believe some situation like that. She was probably orphaned and taken into the illegal animal trade to become a pet or god knows what. It is a blessing she was rescued from that to live out her life in an accredited zoo where care is reasonable and she lives with Momoko and Haoko and their beautiful children who seem to love her so-especially darling Sumomo-plum lately. There is a video about Toto on UA-cam about her origins if you search for it. Whenever I leave links my posts are always removed but it should be easy to find. Just search for “about Gorilla Toto”or like that should come up. 🦍♥️
Does anyone know the why Toto couldn't have babies of her own? Did she have an illness or just simply didn't have babies? Just interested to know? I'm so glad she has had the love ❤ of Momoko's children
Prior to Haoko, Toto lived with three silverbacks - Goren, Biju, and Shou. I read that she was sterile, and that would make sense as she had no offspring by any of them. It's too bad; I think she would have been a fantastic mom!

It’s not ‘swollen’ as such, she just has a particularly large sagittal crest, which is a bony ridge across the top of the head that all adult gorillas have. 😊
Do you know why Genki lost her dominant female position in this group? Is that the silverback's choice or did Momoko get aggressive and manipulative with her? I think Genki is pretty- but am not sure I'm up on gorilla standards.
Hmm…interesting point of view. I don’t see Toto as a slave at all. She appears to get plenty to eat even though her food gets stolen occasionally and Sumomo sometimes gets a ride from her. She seems to have a very calming effect on all the other gorillas in the troop and they like having her around…just my opinion. 😊

Far too much in-breeding going on in this troop . Like the shabani troop. This is absolutely terrible and people actually say wow how beautiful and wow look how cute ... They are extremely un-intelligent animals captive gorillas very ugly animals but have such hilarious faces its so fun and funny to watch them being their normal dumb selves. There is not a lot of history for Toto.. Who raised her cos she was a infant when taken from the wild to go to a Japanese zoo.. Was she stolen and traded or orphaned?
I feel like I read somewhere Toto was rescued as a baby or young gorilla from an underground trading type operation. Can’t be sure but I believe some situation like that. She was probably orphaned and taken into the illegal animal trade to become a pet or god knows what. It is a blessing she was rescued from that to live out her life in an accredited zoo where care is reasonable and she lives with Momoko and Haoko and their beautiful children who seem to love her so-especially darling Sumomo-plum lately.
There is a video about Toto on UA-cam about her origins if you search for it. Whenever I leave links my posts are always removed but it should be easy to find. Just search for “about Gorilla Toto”or like that should come up. 🦍♥️
Does anyone know the why Toto couldn't have babies of her own? Did she have an illness or just simply didn't have babies? Just interested to know? I'm so glad she has had the love ❤ of Momoko's children
Prior to Haoko, Toto lived with three silverbacks - Goren, Biju, and Shou. I read that she was sterile, and that would make sense as she had no offspring by any of them. It's too bad; I think she would have been a fantastic mom!

I think it’s just a glitch in translation. She has a unique “bouffant” hairdo 🦍♥️
It’s not ‘swollen’ as such, she just has a particularly large sagittal crest, which is a bony ridge across the top of the head that all adult gorillas have. 😊
Do you know why Genki lost her dominant female position in this group? Is that the silverback's choice or did Momoko get aggressive and manipulative with her? I think Genki is pretty- but am not sure I'm up on gorilla standards.

Hmm…interesting point of view. I don’t see Toto as a slave at all. She appears to get plenty to eat even though her food gets stolen occasionally and Sumomo sometimes gets a ride from her. She seems to have a very calming effect on all the other gorillas in the troop and they like having her around…just my opinion. 😊
@@luvcats120не думаю,что Тото очень нравится возить этот груз.Сумо ещё долго будет ездить на безотказной старушке.Другие не очень то и хотят таскать на себе этого детёныша,она и в туалет ходит на спине.Пока была совсем маленькая её рвали на части,а сейчас не особо и нужна.Вот вам и любовь,старая и больная,чужая Тото будет теперь с ней таскаться.Потому что рабыня в услужении,она боится всех этих момок и комок.😢😢

Why is her head swollen
Far too much in-breeding going on in this troop . Like the shabani troop. This is absolutely terrible and people actually say wow how beautiful and wow look how cute ... They are extremely un-intelligent animals captive gorillas very ugly animals but have such hilarious faces its so fun and funny to watch them being their normal dumb selves. But very sad that they inbreed.
