This is a really interesting consequence of how pushing and pulling use Unity's rigidbody2d class even though most movement in AK isn't governed by the physics engine. Basically, pulls apply continuous force towards the puller. Pushes add force in a single discrete moment then resistance to friction slows it down. When you remove the puller, they stop adding the pull strength they were providing but all the extra force added by mines is still there in that same direction. The end result is zoom!
