Wow fab job
Thank you very much Debby ✌🏻
I love it. Beautiful.
Most of my highlights want brighter results, so we use foils almost always. (With the exception of brightening already lightened ends).
Either our town is behind the trend, or the weather makes us crave light and bright. Or both 💇🏼♀️☀️💇🏼♀️
Also, end result is absolutely gorgeous👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
How about the toning? Do you accomodate for that?
I'm from the west coast and I'm starting my hair journey.
Good technique but I wished I could see the top part of client s head, especially when section hair.
Awesome! James would you add a darker color to the hair left out for more dimension? And more ribbony effect?
Yes absolutely that is totally achievable putting a darker colour either on the roof area prior to the ribbon with application and then darkening the pieces that you don’t lighten creates a wonderful multidimensional high contrast affect
@@TheLifeOfHair thanks!!!! Going to try it
Is that a clay bleach being used xx
wonderful james!
i loved this technique since tge first video you made about it :).
in my country the "teasy lights" balayage is the most popular these days. and i struggle the most with it.
since it's hard for me to imagine the amount of blond that i get in the result. i always wonder do i tease enough hair or do i tease too much.
also since those techniques are so time consuming i try to make them quicker. for example do a regular weave foils at the bottom areas of the head, and just on top of the head do my shatush/airtouch /babylights.
if the bottom lacks brightness i will add some freehand bleach on the hairs that are left out of the foils.
i also prefer airtouch over teasy lights since airtouch is easier to do corrections afterwards.
it's easier to saperate the dark hair from the light hair when you do correction on airtouch.
Yes wonderful comment thank you very much Ziv Totally agree with you there I’m just out of curiosity what country do you living? Best James
@@zivbenigoyev I can understand that totally my mother’s family are from Israel too 👍🏻
@@zivbenigoyev Are usually always I can imagine it’s hard work doing hair in t he Middle East. The clients here in Europe are reasonably nice to get some very Challenging clients but this is usually to do with their mental health.

my ex boyfriend went to live in london, he has a citizenship i wonder why i didn't go with him 5 years ago, now he is married to another man :D .
and i have a girlfriend .
i am a man if you wonder, i like both men and women.
As a black woman I've been looking for a hairdresser that will do this on my own hair but I keep getting messed around. Is the technique different for varying hair textures?
Hi Lilly thank you for your comment when you say you want to get someone to do this to your hair do you mean the multidimensional blonde look or just the technique style I used? That will help me answer your question all the best James
@@TheLifeOfHair Hi James,
I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I've been wanting to try balayage for some time. My hair is very dark and I wanted to add colours ranging from a caramel brown to quite a bright blonde. Just to enhance and add depth. I'm not sure what the problem is exactly, I've had my appointments cancelled, whilst another has tried to push me into other types of treatments including texture releases which wouldn't work for me as I like to wear my hair curly as an alternative to being straightened with straighteners.
@@lilygeorge8392 Right I see now what you’re saying I mean if you wear your hair natural and it is very curly textured then you can have Balayage type techniques like this one that I’ve demonstrated in the video works quite nicely and if you’ve got no previous colour in your hair it’s quite easy to add in two different tones of caramel and a soft blonde shade I guess it’s just finding the right stylist I mean maybe it could be that you show them this video or the alternative to this video which is actually on curly hair and and they could help to you that way I mean I know that I’m certainly never offended if a client wants to show me a picture or a video because at the end of the day all I want to do is give them the hair that they are after so that could be an option for you Whereabouts are you located in the world maybe I could help
@@TheLifeOfHair I live in London.
That's helpful to know. I did put a crazy colour on it during the lockdown, burgundy. But that was back in April this year. You can still see a slight colour when I stand in the light but nothing washes out when I wash my hair now.
@@lilygeorge8392 you should follow anneleise_hesse on Instagram she is based in London she also is an amazing educator. I would really recommend you try book in with her she is amazing at colour
