Over the top and beautiful -exactly the way I love an Alta Moda/ Haute Couture show to be. The colorful gowns and sequins were a nice departure from their usually mostly black collections. At the same time, there were still plenty of beautiful all-black ensembles. I love it 🤩👍🏼💖

Loved the location and the outfits! But most of the girls can't walk.
The models left a lot to be desired. We need a new Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, etc.
You have to bear in mind that some of the creations the models were wearing are very heavy. Those are top models and walked the way they are all thought to do on a catwalk

@@soniaharrison1016 Exactly what I thought. I was missing the super models of the 90s who never looked unhappy or anemic. Linda Evangelista, for example, looked confident and happy- in short, inspiring.
The design of dresses so ugly if to put in museum okay but fir wearing better put the broom underneath so they can sweep the entirely floor .
D&G runways are always elegant and fun to watch. Such exquisite clothes.
The Art Director and Design Team deserves a bonus.
I felt that a show like this needed more 'seasoned' Models, to WEAR these pieces and raise the energy, which felt a bit flat. It felt more like a 'Fancy Brunch', than High Fashion which was disappointing.

I preferred their Alta Moda presentation of July 2014, on Capri. It was the same weekend as the Italian stylist Erica Pelosini’s nuptials. Quite a scene I’m sure!

@@farala1282 cherie, anche la femmina ha orecchie che può usare per ascoltare. E tre orifizi per gustare. Chi ama il barocco Veneziano ha il permesso di entrare nel centrale medio anteriore. Ascolta Vivaldi , ti può far bene.
This D&G show was in 2019 and much more beautiful, opulence and all. The only aspect I did not like were the mini-structure hats at the end, but the overall beauty was spectacular. I...literally do not have words. My brain crashed and my literal jaw was on the floor the entire time. Just everything about this was pure perfection. The outfits were so unique, detailed and fresh. This is hands down THE most amazing show I've ever seen in my life.

Venice is always spectacular. One can hear the beautiful music of venetian composer Vivaldi (finally they could afford more than just one song playing over and over again) and the famous painter Canaletto seem to have painted the background with sublime colors. I am very grateful for this tasteful combination. But who in the world will ever wear these hideous clothes. The workmanship is stunning but many gowns look incredibly heavy, and let's be honest who wants to go as a living chandelier to a dinner party? The cuts were completely boring, inspired by the outdated byzantine dress code, venetian furniture and interiors and of course constant parodies of the carnival. With very few exceptions it was hard to spot anything comfortably wearable. Too few beautiful dresses in total. In my point of view the two maestros overdid the whole theatrical aspect in the design of their clothes. This dress that looks like a patchwork of cheap tourist paintings from Venice...just ugly. D&G certainly had shows with more classy designs but really let me down with this one. Makeup, hair and jewelry were ok but these tasteless dresses....dzdzdz
This is where you are completely wrong. Many many dresses WILL be worn in a short future by many women. From Lebanese women on weddings to stars on the red carpet. The oversized jackets, the short dresses, or even the massive ones. You will see them. Plus when bought theses statement pieces are often altered to be wearable. Pure beauty
And the men’s show has been heading the same direction. Every single time in Alta Moda the same square oversized blouses that look more like a canvas to the always heavy prints and in the end almost a hundred feminine looks “translated” to a male universe that exists only in their - tired - imagination.

We all know that what walks in the catwalk more often than not only belongs there but you get to see great pieces of art that otherwise I doubt we'd see !! Great show !. . .
Overall the clothes were absolutely beautiful, as haute couture should be, having said that, I felt shades of Valentino, shades of Dior, and for some reason, a little Fendi couture added. Lol, and some of the "models" walks were horrible, I see walking in flats only highlighted this. And unfortunately, they have gone back to using "social media influencers" and "children of celebrities as models, ie Sean Combs, three daughters, ), who seemed to appear as girls playing as models, it was very clear that this was their first show, but it didn't work, ( no shade or any disrespect meant at all) I didn't buy them as models,
@@roxxylala26 , the third daughter was from his affair outside of his "relationship" at the time with Kim Porter, but he never denied her, and she was accepted as part of the family ( from everything I read at the time). In this particular show she was the 6th "model" to exit, she was in between the twins, wearing a black sparkling short dress. As far as Kim Porter, and her modeling career, I don't really recall her exactly being a fashion model in the truest sense, as I remember, she was more of a beauty/commercial/hair type of model. I distinctly remember seeing Kim Porter and Veronica Webb in a fashion spread for Town and Country Magazine, during the early 90's.

This was overall a very successful collection. There were some flatlines, but nothing major. For me heels and jewelry score big big points in this collection. Some jewels were better than some pieces overall.

Everything is so beautiful, the designs, materials, the hairdos, makeups, shoes, jewels, all. And the incredible environment at the dusk, Campanile, Basilica di San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, the winged lions columns, the gondolas, amazing scenery for this art show. And the pearl is the exquisite music perfectly selected.
