- DEATH BATTLE! have had an amazing go with their Kickstarter, doing even better than anyone could've expected. Today I want to talk about the matchups they revealed, placed as stretch goals, and what I'm excited for and ready to see.
I wasn't going to do this video but I got too excited and just needed to talk about it, it just took a bit to come out because UA-cam is UA-cam and does what UA-cam does and only UA-cam knows what that is.

The fact we ended the traditional season order on 10 feels very appropriate. Both because it was by far the best and also because the waiting period was by far the most painful lol.

It’s so cool that episode 200 is funded completely by the fans after death battle was so close to shutting down for good. This season is going to be such a celebration of the show

I can tell its custom due to the way the neck reflections are, it looks overly bumpy as if it was a sculpt he made that he used an auto retopo program on. (Or he hand retopoed, hard to tell.) , rigged, and got ready. Nothing wrong with that since I doubt Noland will be doing squats and splits and any stretching due to quick retopo wont be noticable at fast speeds.
8:47 Those lines were from the God of War 3 game. DevilArtemis confirmed those lines were from the games, but the battle will have voice actors.
The specific part of the game where Zeus is saying all this is in one of his cutscenes from the final act of the game, where Kratos has already killed almost all the gods in Mount Olympus, and he is trying to stop Pandora to open the box, because it'll free unknown evil like in the original myth, but it would kill her. Zeus then comes in, tries to kill Pandora and is also belittling Kratos for having pity on her and trying to protect her.
I just hope Wiz calls Kratos the Greco-Norse god of war.
I could imagine Zeus saying the same thing about Kratos' boy, the young trickster demigod. He'd think the boy was a monster.

Im not that into it, mostly because its very clearly a stomp favoring the doom guy in every conceivable way (I'm saying this as a life long halo fan) They were mostly equal when the original episode was made but the new lore from the new doom games just makes it an uninteresting stomp and I'd rather see doom guy and Master Chief fight opponents that they are both on par with rather than just make a new battle that everyone knows the outcome of before it starts.

I’m kinda hyped for Bardock vs Omni-Man, just for seeing a non-omniversal DBZ character. And then Bowser vs Eggman is my most anticipated match that was announced.
Bardock is my personal favorite DBZ character, so I'll be rooting for him. But I don't exactly know if he's capable of blowing up planets.
When Omni-man did it in the comics, it was an extreme feat with a ton of assistance.
When Vegeta could do it on introduction (not including filler and non-canon material), he could do it solo but was gonna take a ton of effort and power.

I don't care HOW big the DC universe is, you're still fighting a MULTIVERSE-SIZED being.
Plus, the Lantern Rings have a distinct disadvantage compared to Spiral Energy: you can physically cut it off from the host.
And who knows, maybe The Entity just decides that Simon's a better avatar and bails on Kyle? We saw how fickle it was in the Brightest Day storyline.

@@matthewmccoyd2578 the problem in that comment is that the DC Cosmology IS a big factor, because even if Gurran Lagann is bigger than his universe or many universes, we don’t know how big that universe is, so we can assume a single universe is as big as ours, meanwhile a single universe in DC by canon statements is either nonillions of times bigger than ours and potentially infinite because it will never stop expanding to being stated to be infinite in size.
And if it’s a battle where universes crumble and everything, Kyle Rayner as a Green Lantern has held a power equal to a Big Bang in the DC Universe, plus reality warping, being able to use every ability of every Lantern, from Pink to Red to Green to Orange, and even if Simon is capable of manipulating the multiverse, Kyle Rayner has survived even greater power, such as surviving The Source Wall, the very edge of the DC Cosmology, the very thing containing The Source, an Aspect of The Presence, DC’s God/Yahweh, and Hal as. Green Lantern, before Flashpoint, he was able to defeat Krona with the 7 Entities of the Emotional Spectrum, he overpowered: Rage, Greed, Fear, Will, Hope, Compassion and Love with his own mortal will, and that same Hal with a replica of a Green Lantern ring, not even his own was able to knock off Black Lantern Specter’s jaw off, something Kyle Rayner can replicate.
And if that’s not enough, Kyle Rayner as a White Lantern possesses the Life Equation, a power directly from The Source, in short words, a power that comes from God, not a god, The God. And in a possible future, he became one with The Source, he became one with an aspect of God, again, possible future, not canon so doesn’t count, but even then, my money is on Kyle Rayner

I actually really like this idea I saw floating around that the live action episode should be Kamen Rider Ichigo vs Captain America. I think it work really well with both being on the simpler side in terms of their kits with the only complicated parts being the shield and the rider kick.
The connections for Mahito vs Shigaraki is basically just sick and twisted anime people with blue hair and an instakill. As a former MHA fan and current JJK fan, this is gonna go crazy.

@@jojogacha974Traveler has better stats than Aang ranging from Island to Large Planet and MHS+ to FTL while Aang is Island to Moon and MHS to Relativistic. At worst, they’re dead even in AP and Traveler is slightly faster, at best Traveler has the advantage in stats. And while it isn’t shown in-game, people who can use Elemental powers can freely use and manipulate their element so you can also argue that Aang’s powers would just be nullified as well.
Traveler also has more experience as he’s seen the birth and death of stars while traveling from world to world, easily placing him at hundreds of thousands to billions of years old compared to 10 thousand(?) years of experience while in the Avatar state.
Aang’s biggest win-con is his Energy bending. Even then, you can argue that it wouldn’t work on the Traveler as energy bending bends the targets life force to remove their bending, which the Traveler’s powers aren’t based on their life force and are fragments of power from the Archon’s after Traveler prays at their statue.
Most of the god of war lines are pre-recorded such as the "Taking pity for this thing was my biggest mistake just as it will prove to be your greatest mistake!" Is one of the lines leading into the fight with Zeus at the end of the 3rd game.
My only thing is Omni Man looks really goofy. The reasoning is that this is the model DEVILARTEMIS uses when Omni Man appears on his channel.
When it comes to the Asura vs Kratos match up, how much a stomp is that because I've seen all of Asura's Wrath and OH MAN!!!!! Kratos has done and caused some insane stuff as he destroyed the entire Pantheon of Olympus but, Asura has defied death multiple times, survived being impaled by a blade that went through the entire planet and erased his own creator from existence in his base form which his creator was in his final form when that beat down happened

Probably has been said by others, but to the Zeus lines are from GoW3. Obvious spoilers, but since we are talking about a series that has been ongoing since, well you know.
It is fitting considering those were pretty much the final moments of the game where Kratos basically twisted the knife in Greece and destroyed everything. But those final lines were more about Pandora and how out of all the death and destruction he caused, Zeus actually plead to Kratos to stop her from reaching the box. But Zeus being Zeus had to taunt Kratos yet again which caused him to let go of Pandora and rush toward Zeus to punch him again.
If anything, it was the point of no return for Kratos (even though he already went too far even before GoW3, but that’s besides the point) and led to how he was at the start of GoW Norse Edition. As for the fight itself, it would make sense if this was after the events of Valhalla and Kratos is still attempting to get past that point of his life as he will still be haunted by his actions that day. But might as well have a literal rage machine outside to help work out those grievances.
Definitely will be an exciting fight to watch regardless how it ends (even though we have a good idea already of the outcome). Either Kratos comes out learning from Asura how one must control their rage or be consumed by it all over again or spend his final moments reflecting on his choices and being reunited with his original family (and having to apologize to his daughter for that time he shoved her away from him). Fun times either way.

4:31 Apart from the fact that after the launch of Dragon Ball Minus, they began to implement aspects of Said Bardock to the Toei version in video games such as Dragon Ball Fusions, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse. And that was before Dragon Ball Super Broly. Basically, they were already making a composite version of Bardock. Also, Death Battle already made a composite version of Broly super in Hulk vs Broly and as far as I know, I haven't seen anyone complain about it. So I don't really see the problem, since esentially, Both Canon and Toei Bardock aren't really too different from eachother, specially since they both versions died.
It would be amazing if the Torrian fight is the cereal mascots battle royale that they did on their first DB Cast episodes, but as a legit DB. I’d be so down for that.

Bowser vs Eggman had me POPPING OFF! That matchup is in my top ten most wanted, and I'm so happy it's finally being done. I will say, the wait period is gonna suck because the amount of arguments I've already gotten into regarding who's gonna win is painful. I personally think Eggman wins, but a lot of people on Bowser's end don't think so and are quite vicious when it comes to debating. I guess it really depends on what exactly they're going to give them, and in that case, I seriously hope they don't downplay Eggman like they did with so many other non-Archie Sonic characters.

My prediction is that Eggman wins the army fight, like, its not even a contest. But Bowser wins overall because his feats are just too strong and he is just way stronger than the rest of his army by himself. (Unless they throw archie eggman into their eggman concoction, then uh, Eggman wins no question. But archie eggman is its own thing and not really eggman so we'll see.)
I just don't see a winning situation where Eggman can take out bowser without archie shenanigans. Bowser can teleport and move through dimensions if he wants to, so the phantom ruby isn't a win against him, the hyper go on black hole Bowser can just tank, Bowser could deal with the eclipse cannon, so IDK what Eggman would have that could handle Bowser. But an egg pawn by itself takes out like, half of Bowsers army and metal sonic takes out evreything but bowser himself by himself so army fight its an eggman win no question.
They legit lied about sonic in sonic vs mario rematch so I’m not really pumped for this fight

Im actually pretty hyped for the Omni Man vs Bardock fight. It's the most fitting match for Nolan. World conquering fathers who in the end want to do right by their sons.
I feel like Bardock has the slight stat advantage, enough to get a win. Depending on if they use super saiyan for him or not. If they do, i feel like that solidifies his victory. But without it, i think it's a little more even.

Still hoping for Duke vs Sam one day. If I had the money I could toss it to Wiz & Boomstick myself (or force it as a community battle, but I'd rather do that with Godwoken vs World Guardian) but I am just happy to see the silence end and the series continue. I can wait another ten years for my dreams to come true. Or save enough money to send a commission somewhere.

I do want to say that Bowser versus eggman is a lot closer than most people think it is while kratos vs asura is honestly the opposite of it. I'm still wondering about any fight with any Yu-Gi-Oh characters how to use the card system and the life point system too and how many Pokemon in Yu-Gi-Oh cards are going to be present in that fight
Lets be honest, seeing Simon is crazy cause people often forget the phrases that messes up many fights in Gurren Lagann is "shoot probability alternating missiles" effecting causality with abilities isnt a small thing to scoff at. They had a 100% of being blocked and not effecting the foe and believed in themselves hard enough to bypass it instantly destroying it.
White Lantern put end to the blackest night who are supposed to be the end of the universe so the probability not affect them
Even though I'm about 10 days to late to comment. But I want to see how people will think of this. But how would a battle between Pokemon and Yugioh will happen. Since well one uses Pokemon to battle and one summons monsters with cards that have attack and defense points. Wonder how that will work. But I'm also overall excited to see.
Ash vs. Yugi is about to be so hype!
Ash Vs Yugi will become my favorite episode regardless of quality. Seeing Death Battle talk about Yu-Gi-Oh at all will be the highlight of my existence.
It's been revealed that if they reach $700,000, 2 more episodes will be in the works, 1 of them being Aang from Avatar vs Traveler Aether from Genshin Impact.
Hopefully they also rematch Thor vs Wonder Woman again too
I personally predict that the live action episode will be Aragorn Vs Jon Snow.

Some of these matchups I don't like, but I don't care at this point. I'm just glad Death Battle's back, and the people behind it can finally strut their stuff creatively.

Kratos vs Ashura will be quite one-sided.
If we somehow get Lord Drakkon vs. Ohma Zi-o, it might just become my favorite Death Battle Season. Highly doubt we would get that though.
I think it'll happen someday, but I doubt it'd be the first Kamen Rider match we ever get. It's an idea worth putting a pin in until we get Captain America vs Kamen Rider Ichigo.

I am impressed by some of the match-ups they're doing. Honestly, I didn't think they'd do Kratos vs. Asura (I don't know why I thought that), but I'm looking forward to it. Though I will admit I'm a little more curious on how Bowser vs. Eggman's gonna go overall.
Way I see it going. Eggman wins in the army department no question. But Bowser wins it overall because hes just built different compared to all of Eggman's stuff.

ben ten vs green lantern needs a rematch because it uses 10 year old ben and green lantern wins by cutting of ben's arm to remove the omnitrix which has been repeatedly stated in ben 10 cannon to not be possible.
i also want to see a rematch of pikachu vs blanka since pikachu has gotten much stronger since then and arguably should have been able to beat blanka in the first fight anyway

I’m so excited for Ash vs Yugi. I adore both these characters so much and they mean the world to me. I hope they’re represented perfectly. I will audibly groan if I hear the unfunny “dumb ten year old who enslaves his pets” or “normal ass dude playing with cards and holograms” joke dropped in the analysis.
They’re big names they’re gonna grab attention anyways, you don’t gotta appeal to those people. I think playing it straight and having respect for the characters while poking fun at the absurdity of their world and adventures works great.
As for the battle, fuck it, have it build up to an all out army fight. All of Ash’s Pokémon and both of Yugi and Atem’s decks. I wanna see Ash and Yugi complimenting each other on their strength and the bonds they have with their creatures.
Ash and Pikachu figuring out what craziness they need to pull off to overcome these obstacles, Yugi and Atem taking a moment to strategize with each other.
I wanna see Ash stared down by the Egyptian Gods only to meet them with a smirk as Pikachu blitzes forward evading their attacks and proceeds to scale the titans.
I wanna see Atem be paused by Gengar’s wacky soul manipulation shenanigans. Have Yugi by himself and on the back foot, he needs to muster up the confidence to stand on his own, turning the tide and summoning his ace Gandora in an attempt to field wipe.
Atem comes down via divine intervention like in DSOD to save Yugi, the gods are fusing into Holactie and Ash connects with the Power of Alola as they prepare to let off Pikashium-Z. All of Ash’s Pokémon appear in the white void as they all cheer and push him on to help with final clash. Yugi appears with Atem followed by the magicians transitioning to actually be Mahad and Mana and rest of the iconic monsters behind them. Turning it into a screaming contest as they try to overpower the other with the support of their companions.
Just so much you could do and I should probably level my expectations but also i won’t.

@world9129 Except that's never going to happen for a few reasons:
1. The fight will end the same way; as it rightfully did with no BS whatsoever.
2. Neither Yang nor Tifa have had any significant newer feats that would justify said rematch.
3. The discourse for other rematches; most notably Master Chief vs Doomguy is far stronger then that of Yang vs Tifa.
4. Even if somehow Yang and/or Tifa were to come back, they would probably be paired up against other opponents, such as Leone (Akame ga Kill), Bakugo (My Hero Achademia), and Chun Li (street fighter) just to name a few examples.
@@firenze6478that's also never going to happen either for the same reasons I explained earlier; the only difference being that for Gaara and Toph, their alternate opponents would be from the likes of Crocodile (one piece) and Terra (DC) respectively; should either one of them come back.
