We had the honor of doing the relief in place with 2C. We were there during the unfortunate patrol into Babur when SPC Chris Moon was killed. The Soldiers and NCOs were instrumental in assisting us with Infantry skills we were lacking and we have never been shy about giving them accolades for helping us. Thanks to Andrew, Dale and others for being there for us back at COP Tynes back in 2010. 🖤
Exactly I was a grunt in eighties early ninties received commission in eighty nine as a grunt total pride every most supports the boots on the ground and we still don't get any respect and wouldn't have it any other way no truer brotherhood then grunts army or Marines e1 through e9 and including the officer corpi was the only infantry branch out of twenty one new lieutenants and couldn't understand it they don't get it unless they are a grunt love all grunts
Good to hear from Andy again!! We overlapped in high school in Hilliard, he was a few years ahead of me. I was with his younger brother in high school and roommates in college. Good family and good guys
I was in 7th grade .. English class .. same thing happened. My teacher turned on the TV and we watched live as the second plane hit. Teacher started crying
Very similar to Ray mcpadden’s story that you guys did year(s) ago . His 10th mtn tour was 16 month in incredibly arduous terrain, isolated with twice daily mortar & gunfights. It made the Stryker ct work he did with the ranger bat and seals seem anti-climatic where they had gyms, hots and cots every day.
@@lafan4801 I hear you brother I signed up in eighty three was supposed to go to airborne school onto ranger bat spent my time at Polk talk about being pissed off no contract lying recruiter I was seventeen when I signed up would wear boots on battion runs get flack for being out of uniform was commissioned in eighty nine honor graduate only one to branch infantry out of twenty one lieutenants God love the infantry unfortunately I joined irr due to family complications missed desert storm hadn't been to iobc yet wouldn't allow me to drop commission and go as NCO had already been informed squad ldr first enlistment
HHC 3 63 AR Third Infantry Division ➗ Marne Division ➗ World Response Team Cowboys From Hel Germany Assembly Area. We Had This Guy Corporal Rodriguez. He Had Been In 101st, 82nd, Now He's With Us I Told Him Your The Most Impressive Corporal But Now You're In An Leg Unit.
I was with both the 173rd and the 82nd. Deployed with 4-319th in 09-10 and twice with 3-319th in 2012 and for the Kabul evacuation. Both are great organizations, very fast paced. I went to WLC with one of the infantry guys who was on that deployment to argendob, he told me some stories.
This interview was illuminating.
I was moved by his humility and bravery.

Our 101st COP Tynes Brothers.
The 82nd 2 Charlie boys are very proud of all of y’all and everything you guys accomplished after we left.
Simple fact that Command didn't give them the engineering support for building the COP is disturbing & disgusting.
True but grunts can do it all and are expected to ❤

Afghans defeated NATO.
They did. And now women aren’t allowed to speak. What’s your point?
And what did they win ? Famen , no rights for women.... No future, the talk leaders don't even let women get a job or read.....
