And while the Professor was dwelling on the sadness of Berlin's condition, Berlin refused to wallow in self-pity and instead continued the song with the passion that he lived his life. And that passion inspired the Professor to keep going.

Berlin gives the Godfather vibes : ruthless, murderous, mysogynist, but fiercely intelligent, in control, with alot of depth in his personality. A born leader. You hate him, but you deeply respect him and his judgement. Props to the writer and the actor for an S tier character.
The acting in this clip is so natural. The way the Professor stops singing and then picks it up again and the way Berlin sings...the confidence of the big brother encouraging the younger one and then the Professor gains confidence and they sing in unison and the music picks up...just amazing acting. This could be one of the best pieces of natural acting.

This scene is brilliant, great writing, directing and performance by the actors. When Berlin sings the part "I feel like I'm dying (Ché mi sento di morir)", the Professor reflects on his brother's illness and the inevitability of death. Little did he know that they see each other for the last time. Berlin seems to have accepted his faith and rather encourages his brother to continue singing the partisan song - a beautiful reference and metaphor for what they are about to do.
I understand, but the song is from the Second World War of the Italian partisans (Italian Resistance) who together with the allies liberated Italy from the Nazi-Fascists who were persecuting Italy, so the song does not make sense with this TV series and especially it was chosen randomly , because it means nothing about anarchy or robbery

The only possible connection I could think of is rather metaphoric - we all decide what to fight and sacrifice for. The robbers in the series are presented in a more idealistic, Robin Hood like way. So the analogy with the song could be something like the aggressor/tyrant being the government for example, the gang being the partisans and their success or death along the way a symbol of fighting against politics, social/economic injustice, poverty or whatever else they highlight as motive in the series. I haven't checked writers' or director's take on choosing this song but it'd be interesting to know their arguments or if it was really randomly selected.

This scene is brilliant, great writing, directing and performance by the actors. When Berlin sings the part "I feel like I'm dying (Ché mi sento di morir)", the Professor reflects on his brother's illness and the inevitability of death. Little did he know that they see each other for the last time. Berlin seems to have accepted his faith and rather encourages his brother to continue singing the partisan song - a beautiful reference and metaphor for what they are about to do.
I understand, but the song is from the Second World War of the Italian partisans (Italian Resistance) who together with the allies liberated Italy from the Nazi-Fascists who were persecuting Italy, so the song does not make sense with this TV series and especially it was chosen randomly , because it means nothing about anarchy or robbery

@@friedrichnietzsche1101 Yes, I agree with you. It is irrelevant to the historical meaning of the song. The only possible connection I could think of is rather metaphoric - we all decide what to fight and sacrifice for. The robbers in the series are presented in a more idealistic, Robin Hood like way. So the analogy with the song could be something like the aggressor/tyrant being the government for example, the gang being the partisans and their success or death along the way a symbol of fighting against politics, social/economic injustice, poverty or whatever else they highlight as motive in the series. I haven't checked writers' or director's take on choosing this song but it'd be interesting to know their arguments or if it was really randomly selected.

And from what I've heard,(haven't seen got)got really dropped its level after some time, which is kinda understandable having in mind the amount of seasons, but then again, I'd rather watch something short, that would leave me thirsty for more, than to see a good show becoming a bad show, just because of the money.
