Hi Anna, I unfortunately can't comment on whether the Origins product is universal or not. But, I would just like to say, I absolutely love that you're asking this question and thinking about it! It just really warmed my heart and made me so proud to be following you
Re: Renaissance dad on holiday- it’s so funny when someone describes your style or outfit in a way that’s so true but that you never thought of. Once I had a coworker tell me my style was “tenured sociology professor” and I was like... wow I never realized that but yes it is
Hi Anna the best SPF I’ve ever used on my face is the La Roche Posay Anthelios ultra light invisible fluid SPF 50. Sinks into skin instantly, doesn’t leave a white film, non-greasy and non-sticky. I use it every single day.
I have heard so many good things about La Roche Posay range. I really have to try this stuff! Thanks for reminding me - I get overwhelmed choosing sunblocks and always end up with something that feels hideous!
I definitely second that ! Been using it for years, I did like to try others now and then. Was always disappointed. Anthelios is the best and really gentle for extra sensitive skin I hâve rosacea
Thanks for asking - Biore 50+ SPF is the only SPF Watery Essence i have found that works for my mixed raced skin AND doesn't cause breakouts. It's fantastic and really affordable.
Sadly, It broke me out. But this was when I was caking on make up a few years ago while competing in pageants. Perhaps I should try it again now. Love from this Chinese-Filipino girl in Manila! 🇵🇭
Love the Biore too! Right now I'm trying to use up the Biossance Sheer Mineral Sunscreen, which was fine this spring, but is a little pasty with a tan. I think you've inspired me to re-order the Biore.
Haven’t tried the origins one but as a half Indian lady, it’s been so hard to find one that works for me!! I avoid all tints that turn a diff color just because they ALWAYS look off on me. Tried clear chemical sunscreens and dislike the feeling of them as well! Vanessa, Allana Davison’s manager (why do I feel like I know you all?!) and I have a similar skin tone and she recommended Elta Md. I am IN LOVE with how this sunscreen dries down-no white cast, no grease, makes my skin glowy but doesn’t break it out! Highly recommended for brown girls! Thank you for continuing to stay true to making this channel inclusive. Anna, you are just the best!
For SPF tinted products, I have the completely opposite problem of being super duper pale (as in, always being shade 01 in foundation and often that is too dark!) and they never work on me- the origins one you mentioned looks like a terrible fake tan job! 🙈 I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t work for darker skin either
Just popped one of your cookies in the oven, check, Caroline Hirons book on my lap, check, French bulldog sleeping on my feet, check! Happy Sunday everyone
Still laughing about the renaissance dad on hols when I hear you say "I was just thinking, in my head"!! LOL, where else would you be thinking Anna, if not in your head? Your foot, your hand maybe, bahahaha. XXXX
I'm 23 and the only skincare I do is moisturise morning and night. Use spot cream on the occasion when I get spots (usually linked to the time of the month) and when I wear makeup I take it off with a micellar water and use a cleaning lotion. I know nothing about skincare but want to look after my skin and look young when I'm old (without the use of botox etc) so should I get Caroline's book?
I actually never bought the origins sunscreen bc I’d been burned (no pun intended haha) by a Perricone MD sunscreen that was meant to “match your skin tone” and made me look purple. Like Barney the dinosaur. That was $75 down the drain so I was scared to chance it again!!
Origins does not work well on dark skin tones. It leaves a white cast on mine. I like Supergoop. But my favorite is The Beet Shield by Krave. It has taken few years for me to find a SPF that worked well with my complexion. Also, I have had better success with SPF from K Beauty companies. Great question..Thank you Anna!❤️
Awww... good memories! ☺️😊 My favorite hand-held mic was my round brush with yellow handle and black bristles! I used my black vent brush on occasion, but my performance was always much better with my round brush! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 I love how this is a universal thing! 🥰🤩😍 Great vlog, full of so much happiness! 😀😃😄😁
Hi Anna, thanks for asking. I am of deeper skin tone and I've tried tinted spf before and they make me look ashy. They aren't designed for deep skin tones. It makes me feel excluded when this happens. For example clinique dramatically different moisturising bb gel that claims to adapt to all skin tones really doesn't! This is also the case with tinted undereye creams such as origins.
La Roche posay anthelios sunscreen hands down the best I’ve used. I have lost count of the bottles I’ve used up. Makeup sits well on it, no white cast no flashback it’s super lightweight it’s perfect
Only 10 mins in and already obsessed with this tie dye top you’re wearing. If you’re going to tell us that you’ve made this... mind absolutely blown! It’s bloody gorgeous.
K & J - Beauty SPFs do well for my deep skin tone - Purito Centella or Klairs - but these are often chemical mixes. The very best physical sunscreen I’ve found is Glo Skin Beauty Solarshade SPF50. It’s very moisturizing so I wouldn’t recommend for oily or combo skin types. It starts with a bit of a white cast but dries down to a lovely dewy finish. Love it! Loving your Renaissance dad shirt! Also so excited for Caroline’s book 🤩 Great vlog as per usual 😉
Anna have you ever tried Korean or Japanese sunscreens? I’m not sure how available they are in the UK (I’m from the States and I buy mine on yesstyle). My favorite is the dear klairs UV essence, it literally feels like nothing.
Hi Anna- With regards to the Origins product, I have used it before however I am a mid tone skin (NARS Barcelona in foundation) and it was fine without any or ashy ness....but I don't think it would work on deeper tones as when I tan it did not suit.
Hi Anna, love this vlog. I just wanted to ask a question on your night time routine now you are using the allies of skin retinol. Are you no longer using the Kate Somerville exfoliate? Is the allies of skin the only thing you use in the evening now after cleansing? I’m really interested in trying the AoS product but I wanted to check if you had stopped your evening acid set altogether. Thanks x x
Thanks for watching! Still use the Exfoliate - although it’s a mask so it’s more of a once a week/every two week thing for me, whereas the AOS can be a daily option x
The best SPF for dark skin in my opinion is the full-body Elta MD Broad Spectrum spf 30+ UV LOTION. I'm black and it's moisturizing without any sort of cast! My holy grail and I've stocked up in case they ever change.
Hey Anna, I love your weekly videos and you in general! Such a bright way to start my Sunday morning (Aussie but living in SF Bay Area). I've not tried the Origins so it may well be a chemical sunscreen but I think it's an interesting re tinted mineral sunscreens. As I understand it, the tinting of mineral sunscreens isn't to provide coverage it's to offset the white coloration from the zinc/mineral protection. I tend to try to use mineral protection since I have melasma/pigmentation and chemical sunscreen insulates heat into the skin making melasma worse. (Maybe Caroline dives into this somewhere?) Anyway, I've been curious if folks with darker skin tones can use mineral tinted sunscreen, again since the tint isn't there to provide coverage and effectively fades once you put on the skin.
Oh I literally stopped the video half way and now realize you're sort of saying the same thing! I've used the Paula's Choice mineral 30 which is good but again has that tint. As I understand (from Go-To founder Zoe Foster Blake) the iron-oxide pigments in tinted sunscreen are not the same as those in foundation. They are rubbed in and effectively disappear. I just ordered the Elta MD physical sunscreen to try. Hope our deeper skinned beauties have got some reccos for you x
Anna, Arnotts biscuits are Australian (not New Zealnad)... And I'm glad you liked the chocolate mint biscuits!!!.... in Australai Tim Tam's are the BEST/ most popular, then monticarlos. Actually all of Arnotts biscuits are pretty good. xxx
I think in another vlog she mentioned that her local spin studio are hiring out their bikes and she got one for this month. I think it's from a brand called Keiser. :)
I’ve been using the “heliocare 360 spf 50 gel oil free” I got it at sk’’n clinic, it has a bit of a tint, doesn’t make me break out which has been a problem for me with sunscreen before. It’s awesome!
Me and my sisters used brooms/mops and did the whole routine to Sound do the Underground by Girls Aloud whilst my dad played it on guitar (we made him learn it!) Good times ❤️
I have dark Latinx skin and I am very picky about sunscreens since many will leave me with whitecast and make me look like I have jaundice or take forever to blend in. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen is my favorite and it's what I recommend to friends and family who are bad at wearing sunscreen.
I exclusively wear Black Girl Sunscreen for the reasons others have mentioned, "universal" or generic sunscreens always turn me gray and ashy. Haven't tried the Origins one but I highly doubt it would work.
I really liked this vlog. Can you pls share your blueberry milkshake recipe? Oh and alphaH daily essential moisturiser with spf50 is really good for all skin tones.
My husband and I are huge karaoke fans and still use the remote control as the mic, even though my husband is a singer in a band and has actual microphones in the house 😂
Hi, Anna! I just ordered the Koa Anti-Pollution SPF45+ after reading rave reviews on IntotheGloss. It's a small, sustainable, inclusive brand--with tinted and non-tinted SPF (for those of us with ghost complexions)--and the mineral SPF ingredient list is a dream for sensitive skin x
When you brought out the mint slice I died! I'm an Aussie living in Hungary so I can't get my fave bikkies - you lucky girl! Also, I was interested about your recent issues with skin sensitivity. I also have dry sensitive skin and have just had to switch moisturisers. I've got a cleanser, serum (cannabis line) and moisturiser (daily hydrator for sensitive skin) from Kiehls now. I would really LOVE a video on reasonably priced products of this kind. I think Kiehls is a little pricey but not outrageous. Maybe there are products just as good for less though?
Hairbrush or deodorant, those were definitely my microphones. Ohh the memories! 😂 What kind of lemon drizzle frosting did you make for the muffins? It’s a different one than the one in the recipe isn’t it?
i'm personally really into korean spfs, some include the purito centella green level safe sun spf 50+ pa ++++ and the cosrx aloe soothing sun creams spf 50+ pa +++. purito is a pretty clean brand which i like. both spfs are more watery based (personal prefer this type). (:
Hi Anna! This is my first comment on any of your vids, but I've been a long time viewer. I felt compelled to say I love the Elta MD sunscreens, specifically the UV Elements (tinted) for a chemical one UV Clear if you're looking for a chemical one. I am a bit tan and tend to break out, but these two have been pretty good to me! I do think they ship to the UK as well. Much love!!

I can confirm that the Origins Vitazing is not universal - made my Indian skin tone ashy and not glowing or bright.
Hi Anna the best SPF I’ve ever used on my face is the La Roche Posay Anthelios ultra light invisible fluid SPF 50. Sinks into skin instantly, doesn’t leave a white film, non-greasy and non-sticky. I use it every single day.

I can also confirm this! I used to work outside with horses, and it would even last on a sweaty, sticky day.
How do you guys avoid piling, or you never have that issue? I find it pils really badly on me no matter what moisturiser or face I put on top...
How is it under make up?
I love how much you support your peers. Your kindness and genuineness shine through your videos, Anna! :D
I’ve deleted all other social media so I eagerly wait your Sunday vlogs to catch up with what you’ve been up to! Loving the tracksuit! Sending love 🥰
Literally me- couldn't hack instagram anymore!
I love the little candid moments with you and Mark. Just the cutest!
Thanks for asking - Biore 50+ SPF is the only SPF Watery Essence i have found that works for my mixed raced skin AND doesn't cause breakouts. It's fantastic and really affordable.
Thanks Nat! X
Seconding the Biore UV Watery Essence, a very good non-tinted SPF!

If I read Caroline Hirons correctly, she does not praise frivolously! You must deserve to be on the back page!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!
I have the same problem, universal tinted products always turn out too dark and orange on me.
You’re so right! Always forget that it’s a no go for me during the winter months! 🙈
nicks596 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Just popped one of your cookies in the oven, check, Caroline Hirons book on my lap, check, French bulldog sleeping on my feet, check! Happy Sunday everyone
Still laughing about the renaissance dad on hols when I hear you say "I was just thinking, in my head"!! LOL, where else would you be thinking Anna, if not in your head? Your foot, your hand maybe, bahahaha. XXXX
I love your question about the sunscreen and wanting to recommend one that is more universal for all skintones, so thoughtful!
Another lovely vlog, Anna. I'm digging the darker tones of your tie-dye set. ❤
Beauty and Biscuits... you’ve got me! 😂
SAME!
This should be a book title!!
I'm 23 and the only skincare I do is moisturise morning and night. Anna, your videos are therapy for the soul girl. I actually have a special setup when I watch them 😂😂😂👌🏼💕
Só funny, your dad about fishing: "he as all the gear and no idea....." 🤣🤣🤣
Yep, immediately paused the video and went and bought Caroline's book. Looks so amazing. I'm a sucker for new skincare tips. xx
You are literally a bundle of joy. Your videos always make me feel so good! Xx 💓
Got Caroline’s book in Sainsbury’s the other day for £10, if anyone wants to pick it up. Really enjoyed reading it 🙂

These videos make my Sundays so special, also Renaissance Dad vibes - I can’t unsee it 😂😂😂😂
this vlog was pure joy
Honestly this weekend has been fab - Anna and Lily podcast for my run yesterday, and now this video with my coffee before tennis. Happpy Days. xo
Just what I need a Sunday morning. A lovely bit of Anna ❤️❤️
So happy to see another lovely video from you Anna!!
Oh I love your hair parted on the side ! So pretty!
Awww... good memories! 😀😃😄😁
Santa brought me an actual microphone and stand, best present ever! sang “skater boy” on repeat for about three years 😂
Best present EVER
WOW that frittata looked sooooo good 💜💜💜

Ultra Violette Supreme Screen SPF 50+ !!! Hydrating, super glowy and non-greasy. Looks AMAZING under makeup.
All the feels. Thanks Anna. I preordered Caroline's book, it arrived Thursday and by Friday evening I'd read it cover to cover, glossary and all!
I am loving your content at the moment. I can’t get enough of your videos 😊
You guys have the cutest and purest relationship.
I would love to see a half year favourites!
Supergoop is my go-to brand for sunscreens. Unseen sunscreen, spray, lotion... everything is so good! Haven’t tried another brand for over a year!
La Roche posay anthelios sunscreen hands down the best I’ve used. I have lost count of the bottles I’ve used up. Makeup sits well on it, no white cast no flashback it’s super lightweight it’s perfect

Did you try the supergoop physical sunscreen? I thought they are not too bad!
Bloody love your vlogs! The nods to New Zealand make my kiwi heart happy 🤍
I love that you're so into Mint Slice, we always go for the family pack in our house 😍😎
Hi Anna- With regards to the Origins product, I have used it before however I am a mid tone skin (NARS Barcelona in foundation) and it was fine without any or ashy ness....but I don't think it would work on deeper tones as when I tan it did not suit.
Anna if you love mint slice you will ADORE the mint Tim Tams 🙌🏼
Alright that’s it - I’m off to Woolies for some Arnott’s Mint Slice 😍😍😍 it’s been a time!
I brought over 5 value packs of arnotts mint slices when i moved from Australia to the US. Screw tim tams, the mint slice is where it is at!
lol The Spice Girl Impulse body spray!! Omg! probably the first body spray I ever got.
You are the nicest person Anna, so genuine and funny .. I wish you was my best friend 💖

Favourite thing about Sunday - Anna’s video and a coffee in bed ❤️
Where do you buy the mint slices from?😂
Purito Centella spf50!! Gorgeous.
Mint Slices are my fave too!! A real Australian gem in my opinion! Hahaha! Love from Australia! X
the arnott's bakery is down the road from me. if the wind is going the right way we can smell the baked goods.
Just made your cookies for the gazillionth time, Anna. They are SO good. I always look forward to your easy breezy Sunday morning videos btw ☺️ xx
Thank you Nicole! X
Mint Slice FTW!!!!
Anna, Arnotts biscuits are Australian (not New Zealnad)... And I'm glad you liked the chocolate mint biscuits!!!.... in Australai Tim Tam's are the BEST/ most popular, then monticarlos. Actually all of Arnotts biscuits are pretty good. xxx
My husband and I want to incorporate more veggie meals into our weekly meal plan. Do you have a list with your favorite veggie coolbook by any chance?
That smoothie is just the loveliest color! What did you put in? 🤩
I love mint slices!!!! Where did you order them from? I’ve struggled to find them anywhere.
You can get them on sanza.co.uk and Amazon. :)
Love your watch strap! Where did you get it from? x
where is your stationary bike from? and do you like it enough to recommend it?
I think in another vlog she mentioned that her local spin studio are hiring out their bikes and she got one for this month. I think it's from a brand called Keiser. :)
I’ve been using the “heliocare 360 spf 50 gel oil free” I got it at sk’’n clinic, it has a bit of a tint, doesn’t make me break out which has been a problem for me with sunscreen before. It’s awesome!
The Allies of Skin Vit C is also epic! Totally worth the price
Yyyyeaaaaahhhhhhh Mint Slice!!!
What was in your purple smoothie? Looks good! So love your track suit. I want one! Just love your upbeat and fun chatter. Makes my Sundays brighter!
Me and my sisters used brooms/mops and did the whole routine to Sound do the Underground by Girls Aloud whilst my dad played it on guitar (we made him learn it!) Good times ❤️
Theres an SPF called "Black Girl Sunscreen", not sure if its available in the UK. It has no cast at all, and is fragrance free.
Love your hair at 20:20! Any tips on those crisp waves??
Anna, what size is your American Vintage Tracksuit Set?
Isdin water fusión is daaaaaa ride or dye. Never looking back 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I exclusively wear Black Girl Sunscreen for the reasons others have mentioned, "universal" or generic sunscreens always turn me gray and ashy.
Heliocare mineral sunscreen is ideal for me! Love it. The tint doesn’t really guve tint, I feel. Juat enough so your face isn’t white. Try it!
I have been enjoying the Evy Technology spf here in Singapore .@ Kinkysweat made a very informative video on spf for poc
Hairbrush or deodorant, those were definitely my microphones. Ohh the memories! 😂
What kind of lemon drizzle frosting did you make for the muffins? It’s a different one than the one in the recipe isn’t it?
i'm personally really into korean spfs, some include the purito centella green level safe sun spf 50+ pa ++++ and the cosrx aloe soothing sun creams spf 50+ pa +++. purito is a pretty clean brand which i like. both spfs are more watery based (personal prefer this type). (:
I actually played the saxophone throughout high school & had the same music stand that I used as microphone!🤣❤️Great video!
What was in the smoothie? looked tasty! x
Looks like the Arnott’s are similar to America’s famous Thin Mints Girl Scout cookies. Have you ever tried them?
been watching FRIENDS on netflix from the very first episode from the start of June , now my son is hooked on it :)
Much love!!
Ricotta and jam must say I just want to try it right now 😉
Love your vlogs 😍
Do you have a link to the exercise bike! I must have missed it before.
I believe she rented it from her local spin studio.
Oh.... this was so entertaining.... and the tracksuit is awesome 😎....😘
Have you tried 7bone in hove? We have one in Eastbourne and it’s my favourite burger place. They also have great veggies and vegan options too ❤️
Heads up Anna. Your arnotts biscuits are pronounced are nuts here in Australia. Haha Oh and have you ever tried Tim Tams. Omg biscuit heaven. 🧚🏻♀️
