I’ve seen more success stories than not with Ecuagenera, and I always allow for, and expect , casualties. It was like Christmas there for you. They’ll all do well. Congrats on a good haul.

Hi @superdrefuss. Thanks for watching. Overall, I've had more success than not, hence why I have continued to order from them. You're right though, when importing, you have to go in knowing that there will be casualties and a long acclimation period for some.. One thing that I like about Ecuagenera is that they are willing to replace DOAs as long as you contact them within 2 to 3 days of receiving the order. This order was from September, and subsequent orders have gone well. I can say that for me, philodondrens are usually the hardest hit, while anthuriums and monsteras have little to no issues. Thanks for your comment and, if you celebrate, happy holidays!

Just a gentle reminder. Don't forget to introduce yourself to your viewers. I know you have it written in the opening of the video, but a personal introduction welcomes us to your channel.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely reincorporate that into my introduction. I had watched some VIDIQ videos that stated that you shouldn't so I tried but, to be honest, I prefer introducing myself. Will make sure that I incorporate an introgoing forward. Thanks again and let me know if there are any topics that you would like for me to cover.

Thanks and appreciate you deciding to subscribe. I think you can't go wrong with them or Tropicals Plants. Note that Equagenera ships to the states more frequently so you will probably get your order faster. If it's cold or getting cold where you are, I would recommend waiting until the Spring to order something to minimize your risks..

Good morning! I am placing them throughout my house in every nook and cranny I could find, lol. I actually have another big order coming this Friday, so be on the lookout for that video. It's definitely going to be a big one!

Oohwee! That's some plant mail! Those leaves are beautiful! My fear of ordering out of the country is the arrival of a dead plant, especially an expensive one. You might like Aroid District in CA, Roots Ready in the UK and Kill this Plant in CN.. Even though I'm a Hoya head I do love philodendrons which are a little persnickety! Thanks for sharing. Hi Dee, I actually follow all of them and really enjoy their content. I had that same fear about imports but came to the conclusion/resolve that buying plants carries some level of risk whether it's from out of the country or from a big box. So far, my survival rate has been about 85 to 90% so that is something I can live with. I agree with you about losing an expensive plant but a lot of the rare ones are way more expensive locally than if I imported so it doesn't sting as bad lol 😆. I haven't gotten into hoyas yet. Which ones are your favorite? Which ones would you recommend for a newbie

@@theplantedeye Great, glad you follow these guys! I'm sure eventually I'll attempt to order one or two in the spring. Love philos. I would say the easiest hoyas for newbies are hoya crimson queen, Obovata, Kerrii and Australis. I use Etsy because there's so many sellers of same plants so it's easy for me to look, compare prices and which looks better. Sometimes I order from eBay. My fav or large leaf veins or smooth and fuzzy ones. But there are other one line sellers like Steve's leaves, logees, plant this studio, plants make you happy, guardino's nursery and many others but yes those plants are otherwise more expensive.

I definitely recommend giving it a shot. Equagenera is probably the easiest due to their prices and accessibility. I like that you can also pick up your orders from one of thei r pop-ups but Tropicalsplants.com plants hasn't failed me yet when it comes to receiving a plant relatively unscathed. I am going on a plant ban now until the Spring (although I have a could of more orders coming from Black Friday lol). Will definitely check out the ones you recommended. Esty, Steve's Leaves and Gabriella plants are all on my short list of vendors but will check out the others you mentioned. Thanks!

Nice. Did you get it as an import? Mine has held up pretty good and is one of my favorites at the moment.

Yes I imported it from Ecuagenera, it totally lost its leaves. I put her in a moss perlite mixture, she has grown several leaves but they are all small.

@shuggamoma01 I understand. I experienced the same thing when I imported. Some of them are still recovering. Hopefully they will bounce back in the Spring. I'm sure yours will too.
