People like you will never be able to understand the befinit of a great and strong welfare system, if you havent tried it for yourselves.
Remember - Its true that millionaires couldnt care less about which healthcare system they live in, since they have the money for the most top class service anyways. But regular people like us will never be able to get the service this guy is talking abt in the video. NEVER. The system i get now is well worth the price i pay for it.

I just got my acl surgery 3 days ago. Atleast we in germany have health care. Im really not that financially stable and if I was in the US now. I simply couldn’t afford that kind of a surgery rn. Maybe I would have walked with a torn acl the rest of my life. Ofc a pro footballer gets a next level treatment 1. its his job 2. hes most likely a millionaire.
Im gonna recover fully in like 12-18 months from my surgery. Pros in like 6-9 months.

The chemo we have in our "basic" healthcare is very much decent and it has raised the survival rate and prognosis of patients who have been diagnosed with cancer substantially over the years. It's very much evidence-based and a treatment that will fare decently well depending on your diagnosis. Yeah tates opinion is cringe. Private healthcare > socialised healthcare when it comes to the individual. This is true. However...
      1) changes in Standard of care have massively improved and will continue to improve survival rates, especially for all of us plebs on socialised healthcare.
      2) NHS also pay for routine screening services to capture the tumour in its early stages.
      3) radiation and surgery are also used. I think surgery is done in about 50% of patients in the UK.:
Radiation in combination with immunotherapy is available on the NHS. But
there are issues with dosage and schedule optimisation.
And now add in DNA damage response pathway inhibitors, targeted therapies, CAR-T cells, bivalent antibodies etc. All of these are undergoing clinical trials in various countries under socialised medical programmes.
The gap between private and socialised healthcare cancer survival rates will probably decrease over time.

This simply isn't true. I am a medical resident in Spain (we have a national health care system similar to NHS). Cancer is biopsied and treatment is chosen based on the type of cancer. The steps in treatment and chemotherapy offered are the exact same for the rich and the poor. It would be straight up negligible to offer chemotherapy to a cancer patient without obtaining a biopsy beforehand to figure out what subtype of cancer it is to know which chemotherapy option will be more successful. I simply don't believe the NHS would be so negligible. In Spain we have free public healthcare for all and this is the way cancer is treated. Of course it depends on the type of cancer. A non-melanoma skin cancer is usually a cake walk. But a late stage pancreatic or some lung cancers are a deathwish for almost everybody independently of whether you are poor or rich because they are very resistant to chemotherapy and we don't have great tools to treat these patients yet. I don't believe being rich or poor significantly changes the therapy or outcomes significantly, at least not in my country Spain.
