- We recently purchased a collection of heritage synthesizers from the iconic 80's band Tears For Fears. Here you can see our Music Tribe UK CARE team repairing the DX1 and bringing this piece of musical history back to life.
Behringer you're saving synth music and giving a whole new generation the chance to play amazing hardware synths, no matter what the haters say.
ただ、ただ素晴らしい!!😅😊🎉
Maybe because Im a musician, but this videos make my cry just like a dog rescue video.
because there must have been something magical happened between those analog circuitry pieces once.now those ripples may be still effectting the timeline we live in.may be...
I've never cried like a dog rescue video before. That must be quite a strange sensation.
@Darius Beaumont That clearly went above your head. Look at the grammar in the original comment, then you might understand my reply.
@Darius Beaumont ua-cam.com/video/taJEcut5e0E/v-deo.html hahaha please... don`t make me write, man. Many things could be replaced here lol
Awesome, being a proud owner of both a DX-1 and a DX-5 it is great to see another one saved! Well done!
You lucky so and so...
Damn, I had a DX5 a few years ago, then i sold it, Im a Idiot. Lol
PLEASE PLEASE don’t stop your mission Behringer on bringing us these classic instruments back.
This is called reverse engineering. Can't wait for the Behringer Bx1.
Really love seeing legendary synths being restored like this. And seeing what Behringer is doing with the synth industry, mainly recreating or cloning legendary analog synths. I feel I made the right decision purchasing their Model D. my first analog synth ever.
Deep, deep respect for the "new" vintage synth line. Thanks for the effort and (as always) keeping it accessible and affordable for every one. Getting into synths is a real journey and it's a LOT more fun if you can afford a couple of ones instead of just one.
This is too awesome you rock Uli and all Behringer staff.
Makes me tear up a little seeing you rescue an old workhorse synth with so much history and so much more love to give. Especially something so special, less than 150 of these made!
Thanks for preserving awesome history. Behringer you guys are on 🔥!!
Anybody else love how Behringer releases a Yamaha DX-1 restore right after the guy at Yamaha in Sonic State’s “Yamaha Secret Synth Room” video said that they couldn’t get their hands on a DX-1?! Behringer throwin’ synth shade 😂
I came here to make that comment! Such a coincidence.
Ögontjäneri
RundFyrkant 😂🤔
Yeah that’s funny
Yamaha doesn't even know what to do with their synth tech, it's amazing. DX engine only in the flagship (which didn't even launch with DX sysex support!! EVEN THE VOLCA FM HAD THAT), no new VL stuff, no new QY. Then what's at NAMM? A Hey Remember When We Were Good showcase? Come oooon.
@behringer please please leverage the TOG stuff you're making for the VC340 into a legit stringer.
Good to see this FM beast resurrected and cared for at last.
I LOVE the soundtrack! ❤️❤️❤️ It's such a lovely take on one of my favorite songs of all time. Goosebump variety.
WHY ISN'T THIS LIKE AN HOUR LONG !!! :) more please !!! This is fantastic seeing a manufacturer make this video !! WONDERFUL !!
完全同意いたします 私からもお願いします!!😅😊🎉
Fantastic. A real labour of love!
Wow! Such a noble historical project!!! I'm amazed!!!
Lot of passion and professional skills to restore this wonderful synth, great work team, go forward
Thank you for rescue this wonderful synth !
Lovely! A trip back to the 80’s!
I love this project. It makes me so happy to see them repaired.
Glad to see expert hands taking care of old valuable synthesizers, you should be very passionate in your job to do this, congratulations.
GREAT WORK! Another Super Rare synth classic was returned back to life!!
Well done guys, a lot of work went into that beautiful synth, so nice you restored it.
Very, very clever people, so interesting to see TFFs old synth alive again and thinking of all the fantastic music it has contributed to, great stuff!
Love these restoration videos
What you guys are doing is creating a RENAISSANCE of analog synths.. its sonething I thought Id never live to see. Keep up the great work Behringer!
You guy’s are doing the Synth Lord’s work. 🙏🏽 you are going to get sooooo much of my money this year. But the lesson here: Never buy a gigging musician’s old stage gear.
Unless its Gilmour's black Strat
Complete Hauntology. As Jaques Derrida and Mark Fisher predicted.
Lets encash 80s synth-pop nostalgia and retro-fetish line of synthesizers.
After all the masses will lap it up. Clink Clink!
I'd buy a Buchla any day... or at least play with it... make contact... ua-cam.com/video/nFqpDavNLo8/v-deo.html
I dunno about that. I purchased Peter Framptons Yamaha CS-80. Needed restoration badly. I contracted with the right restorer, and now I have it as part of my studio. It is amazing.
@@saladdays180s9 - Seriously? How much did all that set you back?
Good and great job to rebuilt this vintage synthesizers.
nice job restoring this beauty
Great stuff! Good to see you do stuff like this! Thanks!
really great
I was touring in Berlin when I first heard the DX1 live and loved it
Man, I love that rendition of Everybody Wants to Rule the World. Really lovely, Behringer! Great job on the restoration.
A beautiful synthesizer
Love this! This DX 1 is more exciting to me than any other synth. Look at the wooden weighted keys and all the nice buttons and sliders that makes FM so much more interactive.
That very synth made a lot of music that I love!
wonderful Synth !
what a catch ! well done on getting it, look forward to it's completion
Incredible - excellent work!!
Ah, I own a beautiful Yamaha DX1 too, I bought mine in 2001 from Nashville. I love it
I am happy u r doing this .... synths for the people!
Behringer has been killin it out here for real🔥🔥🔥 y’all are awesome 😎
AWESOME!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing! BIG TFF fan here!
Wow! I remember the first time I saw one of these as a kid. I think it was 1985. All I could do was stare at at in amazement. I had been playing piano and keys for at least 5 years then. Playing a few chords on that thing blew my mind. I thought it was the most futuristic thing I’d ever seen. These things go for big money now.
Congratulations for this job. It's a real shame to see the state of this machine. Hopefully she got to the right place now. Grate job. :)
Excellent job! Have seen this video several times now. 👍
Have my respect for this effort.
This is what I've always wanted to do for a living.
Great skills put to great use - love it!
Thanks guys for saving this synth
I think no one can resist a bit of Numan (Are friends electric 1:43) when playing a synth.
Nunca había visto una restauración de un teclado digital, excelente trabajo, maravilloso.
Awesome job guys! Respect BEHRINGER! ♥
what a beast! even a dx7 can be hard to repair,...when cpu got broken. DX1 and its series are imho the most iconic digital synths ever made.
I love the dichotomy an old “Grey Beard” technician...with a skull tattoo, awesome 😎
Good effort. I've recently restored a JD800 owned by The Stranglers and experienced hell in getting it working again, so I know the pain you would have gone through with this. Nice to see a piece of history preserved.
Nice to see it getting all fixed up and working again :)
Brilliant to see this synth get restored. I think Yamaha was trying to track one of these down to put into their legacy room as it is one of the ones they haven’t been able to get back.
I just watch the sonic state overview of the yamaha synth room from namm and it was excellent minus the missing units.
Gorgeous 😊👍
Fantastic !!
Yeah man, restore that beast! I love it!!
great work
amazing video amazing synth 🙏🏻👍
Great soundtrack guys.
Wow guys, nice! I know that all those serious faces mean you’re having a lot of fun!
Congratulations for this job. Thanks. :)
Really a great job repairing this astonishing synthesizer from the 80’s. It has wooden keys isn’t it? At least, that what’s it look like. Funny to see a guitarist plectrum inside the Yamaha DX! Tears For Fears, legendary songs: Sowing The Seeds Of Love is really lovely!!
Well done!! These old beasts are classics for a good reason..
Behringer is very welcome to do a revamp of the DX1, as far as I'm concerned... 😀👍
what a nice job. congratulations.
Great video
Irrelevant of Uli's new clones, I'd like a day with their own Synth collection and a few hours chat with these guys doing the restorations! What an adorable way to spend your work days!
Really cool!👍
Good job!
I am in Love! Nice one. :)
Can't wait...I have the DX7 and it's already beautiful...can't wait to see the futur clone...if there's gonna be one...
Monster FM machine. Good catch!
Omg. That pic is definatly one of a kind. Save.
best video I've seen by you all
I miss my TX816 now. Thanks you guys for that. 😉
I'm awaiting for the obx like a new born.
Nice video to share with us behringer
felicitaciones!!! excelente trabajo de restauración de este sintetizador legendario.
This IS the holy grail of the DX synths
Lovely sound. I recognized the bit from Are Friends Electric.
I would love to have something as awesome the DX1. Also wish the repair shop was in the USA
Big bonus points for playing Gary Numan's are friends electric, at 1:45
Ha! That's the first thing I noticed! 😆
We've never had access to this material in my youth. It's feels like filling the missing parts to explore.
This is emotional.
This so awesome... Tears for fears actual synth. And a DX1 nonetheless. Pls, a mini version of this gem...
Superb!
the bit at 1:44 is from Gary Numan ' Are Friends Electric ' .I had an Akai AX-80 once and I remember how heavy that was, I have never even seen a DX1, but it just looks like it would be heavier than the AX-80
A great instrument!
00:45 if each time a guitarist lost a plectrum it'd end up in a DX1, the world would be full of DX1s ;)
*Showing my Support for your AWESOME CHANNEL with my **_''Hairy Blue Thumb of Encouragement''_** ⭐😃👍*
this is gold
awesome!
Bring on the BX1!😍
Thanks for saving this legend. Maybe we will see a possible re-issue out of Behringer's labs?
gran bel lavoro!
It’s massive!
I need these guys to repair my OBXA! Behringer rocks
