    I would be very quiet on pro Charles de Gaulle talk in southern France, he was not terribly popular with the French people in southern France. They could not understand why he was not in France fighting alongside the resistance instead of being in London drinking champagne.i will to bet there are still arms and explosives still around there salted away from WW 2. Southern France was the birthplace of the OAS resistance group also that try a over throw of Charles de Gaulle in the 1950s.
