  • Yoko is an apple variety developed in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. It was filed for registration on May 30, 1979, and officially registered as a variety on May 27, 1981. Originating from the natural cross-pollination of Golden Delicious, Yoko is characterized by its slightly oval shape and vibrant red color.
As it ripens, the surface develops a glossy, deep red hue accompanied by distinctive markings. The flavor is a harmonious blend of refreshing tartness and subtle sweetness, while the texture is soft and juicy, offering a unique experience compared to apples commonly found in Korea. Thanks to its clean and crisp taste, Yoko is particularly well-suited for fresh consumption.
