- Months ago I bought an inkjet printer thinking I could use it as a sublimation printer. I was wrong. I purchase sublimation ink & paper online but knew I needed to drain the current ink. I definitely ran into some issues, one being a scanner error but it ended up helping others. Then I realized I didn't cause that...those cables were never connected. Easy fix. Now to practice with the new ink. Video showing the results coming soon.

I accidentally added regular ink just a small amount but it’s contaminated to my sublimation printer, should I empty and refill?
Omg I did the exact same thing because I thought you could use the ink for both and of course not lol. And I got so excited to finally be able to buy one. So I have a brand new printer and I haven’t used it yet even though I thought about using it for stickers but really wanted to use it for tshirts. So basically I just have to get the printer open and and squeeze out all the ink into syringes? Do you have to put anything in there if you have like just a little bit left after you squeeze it out? Or are you good to just put the new sub ink in it?

Thank you for this video. I was not having your problem, but had two clogged lines. Your video showed me how to get inside the printer and extract clogged ink to get the printer ink flowing again. Whew, I thought I was going to need a new printer. Mucho gracias.

That’s crazy it’s like the dark colors worked straight out the sub ink containers but the lighter colors needed to be transferred! 🤔 but thanks for this thorough video, I actually came after the scanner error video! Thanks for that one too! Life saver! Stay safe and keep being a blessing!❤

My problem was I was in a rush to use mine so I bought the cheapest sublimation ink not knowing it made a difference which was over a year ago. Now that I’m learning I ordered different ink and just been sitting on it cause I couldn’t find a video that went at my speed and I understood until I FOUND YOOOOOUUUUUU 😊 THANK YOU SO MUCH ☺️ for your video! I have pulled the cheap ink out and Hipoo ink in now I’m hoping I see a difference in my prints. #suscribed

Is it possible to empty the ink through where you can refill them? I’m terrified I’m gonna break it lol

i converted mine but did not take black piece off (too much headache) just used propped up and had to squeeze the ink cartridge out one at a time..and slide them all out
How did you get the hinge piece off? I’m having a tough time getting the top to lift!
There was a very tiny screw on the top left...were you able to remove this?

How do u get it to reprime the ink?
I did this initially but couldn't do it the 2nd time...so I just printed a few sheets (on the same sheet of paper to save paper) to get the ink through.
1st i want to say thank you for making this video 2nd plz forgive my punctuation or lack there of lol! ok i just got the epson 15,000 and stupidly put in the original ink as well and I'm curious how ur print came out afterwards? did you have issues with the adjustments or did you have to make any like to ur settings ? thank you so much for ur time 💕💕
You are welcome & I didn't make any adjustments. I did print a few pages to run the ink through.
Did you ran the printer before you added the new ink?
How do I check connection? I think I ripped them out?

I just bought the 4850.. I'm confuse to which ink should I buy 😮💨😅.. which one are you using? I see on some videos they are using 502 but if I Google that here in the netherlands, the one that comes up is 102.. hope someone can help me please.. have a wonderful day and thank you in advance ☺️

I didn't...just drained them. Now I plan on going back to the original ink.😁
I just did the same thing. Got the same printer and put the ink in then was googling and Realized I need sublimation ink.
Im having issues with my sublimation ink charging. Its printing blank pages. Any recommendations?
Did you keep the directions for the printer to recharge the ink? This is something I didn't have to do because it did print. But I did realize I was printing on the wrong fabric for the sublimation to transfer & not wash out. Lessons learned during this process...lol.
How do you know when to refill ink
You should be able to view it from the front. And may get an error message.😁
I feel your pain I just found I needed SUBLIMATION INK! Ughh now to start the process 🫠
