If you’re going to suspend your Man of Steel figure from a string in a hovering pose, you simply remove the head sculpt and tie the thread around the neck peg then put the head back onto the neck peg.
@@PosingwithPeter hate to ask this of you but could you do a tutorial for making the cape wired or look wired? I know that’s a little difficult and requires some risk doing it. Anyway keep up the awesome work!

As always great videos Peter! Ads-schmads, the content is amazing. Do you have any pics of your HT Spidermen / creasing / costume issues from aggressive posing left for awhile?
Aw thanks so much for your kind words & support! I appreciate you reading the description box about the lame ads too 😅 As it turns out I don't really take photos of the creases in particular on my figures but they sometimes show up in my pose pics on Instagram. For example it's hard to see clearly but in the photo of Iron Spider hunched over the dead outrider, you can see a crease in his left shoulder if you zoom in -- that crease is pretty permanent from his previous pose of hitching a ride with Mjolnir. I'm sure his hunched-over pose will have ugly creases on his crotch area too from the aggressive bend but I don't really mind since these poses are a lot of fun to create & display, so for me it's worth it 😅
Thanks SO much for your patience! It's a very brief video so I can only hope it was worth the wait and that it didn't disappoint 😅 Are you planning on changing up or displaying any of your figures using these tips? 😁
Absolutely, what helps me prevent them from twirling around is being mindful of the pose itself and placing their limbs against the back wall of the cabinet. For Thor / Superman / Dr Strange, their vertical hovering poses are carefully leaned against the back glass of the cabinet. For Mando, his extended right leg / boot is also pressed up against the back glass panel of the cabinet therefore keeping him in place. I hope that helps clarify!
@@PosingwithPeter I'm also going to send you a dm on ig, I follow you there as well, im gonna send you some pictures of my very new collection and if you could please give me some posing tips, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I'm planning on starting my collection of jojo sas figures and I have a few plans that this will be very nice for as opposed to there normal bases with arms.
Thanks! I covered the running pose in 2 videos, one for Miles Morales and another for Flash in my video for Superman: Miles Morales (running pose @ 7 min 53 sec) ua-cam.com/video/zSVlAwWr-ck/v-deo.html Superman/Flash (running @ 18 min 8 sec) ua-cam.com/video/EDq4aOEixL0/v-deo.html Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
Mann awesome video Peter! Finally managed to watch it. I wish i had detolfs as these tips seem to work best with detolfs. I might try to use some 3M on my own display case tho! With caution of course. Hope it works! If not at least i see some awesome poses i can for sure manage to replicate. Cheers Peter! - Anthony
Thanks Anthony! I'm glad ya got around to watching 😁 Yeah if you do try the 3M command hooks, I'd recommend letting those adhesive hooks settle onto the surface for at least an hour first before immediately connecting a figure in order to maximize its strength/hold. As always I appreciate you! Still hoping see you share content on UA-cam as well someday 😁
Hey there! I’m curious, did you also ask this on Instagram? I just helped answer the same question on Instagram as well 😂 The figures are placed against the back glass to prevent them from moving or turning 😁
Thanks! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video 😊 Perhaps this video here will help teach how to make a wire cape cheap and easy: ua-cam.com/video/Jeh0sAUzeeE/v-deo.html
Haha thanks! I'm hardly the first person to use string / wires to display figures in a cabinet but I'm always happy to help spread the knowledge to fellow collectors if possible ☺️
I need to know, in all honesty, before I do this; has this damaged any of the figures after any extended period of time? Have the belts or attachment points, when posing in cabinets caused issues with the figures or their clothing, attachments, anything like that? Please let me know as I have been plans to do something like this very soon but want all the facts first. Thanks a lot for the video and I really look forward to hearing from you.
I want to pose Captain Marvel in flight, but I don’t think her belt-ish thing will support a hook. Do you think her suit would be ok with some kind of harness made of fishing line? Don’t want to damage her.
I’ve actually had my Captain Marvel hovering for a few months - you are correct that her belt & suit are a bit too delicate for any harness / rigging system. Instead I popped off the head sculpt and tied string/sewing thread very tightly around the actual neck peg, then simply popped the head back on and voila - vertical hovering pose without damaging the suit. Hope that helps, happy posing!
It might be a Jaxon Xu cape, the Superman figure in this video was a spare figure that I bought off a fellow collector and the wired cape was already attached.
If you’re wondering how to make a wired cape, the pose master Terry Smith made a brief video tutorial that explains how to add wire to a cape: ua-cam.com/video/Jeh0sAUzeeE/v-deo.html Hope that helps!
Oh no that’s terrible! I suppose you could try disassembling the figure by removing the cape then suit to glue the leg back into place or do a full body swap with a Phicen. That’s a huge bummer, I hope you’re able to get it resolved.
Likely not with the string & wire method shown here. If you’re on Instagram, check out OneSixthPosing - he uses clear acrylic rods to suspend his figures and it looks spectacular: instagram.com/onesixthposing?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
It’ll ultimately depend on the figure itself along with where exactly the thread is tied to the body / belt / joint / suit etc. I kept my figures floating for months and found no damage when I inspected them upon packing & moving not too long ago. Just gotta be extra mindful of how to suspend the figure.
If you're okay with a decent looking knock-off version, look up "Art by Art Transcendent". There are pics / video reviews out there and it's around $150 USD.
This tutorial really puts a smile on my face. You succeeded in making this hobby look so fun. Thank you Peter. Seriously, thank you.

Thanks! Glad ya liked it ☺️
amzing tips bro
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video
I'm planning on starting my collection of jojo sas figures and I have a few plans that this will be very nice for as opposed to there normal bases with arms.
Nice! I’m glad this video might help plant some ideas for your jojo sas collection 😁 Thanks for watching!
Very good video
Thanks for watching 😁
Question, How do you do the running pose? BTW your videos are great!
Thanks!
I covered the running pose in 2 videos, one for Miles Morales and another for Flash in my video for Superman:
Miles Morales (running pose @ 7 min 53 sec)
ua-cam.com/video/zSVlAwWr-ck/v-deo.html
Superman/Flash (running @ 18 min 8 sec)

Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
Cómo lograste una capa posable para ese Thor? 🥲 quiero intentar con los clásicos alambres, pero no estoy seguro de continuar
@@PosingwithPeter haha yes maybe one day and will do that with the 3M Peter! Thanks man :)
Hey Peter ! Thanks à lot for the trick ! How do you do in order they Turn on themselve with one wire please ????🙏🙏🙏
Hey there! I’m curious, did you also ask this on Instagram? I just helped answer the same question on Instagram as well 😂
The figures are placed against the back glass to prevent them from moving or turning 😁
Perfect wonderful
Thanks for watching!
hye peter…u really done a great video…but please teach me how to put the wire to the cape…please make a video 😅🙏🏼
Thanks! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Perhaps this video here will help teach how to make a wire cape cheap and easy: ua-cam.com/video/Jeh0sAUzeeE/v-deo.html
Do you make more body mod tutorial for the Mandalorian record effusion hot toys collection?
My apologies, I'm not sure what you're asking. What's "record effusion hot toys collection"?
Genius!!
Haha thanks! I'm hardly the first person to use string / wires to display figures in a cabinet but I'm always happy to help spread the knowledge to fellow collectors if possible ☺️
Thank you‼‼💯🔥
My pleasure, thank you for watching & commenting! 😊
Where did you get your figures?!?
I need to know, in all honesty, before I do this; has this damaged any of the figures after any extended period of time? Have the belts or attachment points, when posing in cabinets caused issues with the figures or their clothing, attachments, anything like that? Please let me know as I have been plans to do something like this very soon but want all the facts first. Thanks a lot for the video and I really look forward to hearing from you.
You know that video what you did with Mandalorian Body Mod what I meant to say was can you do the same thing with the rest of the line
Ohh gotcha. As it turns out, I don't really modify my figures all that much. Plus, I don't really have many figures from the Mandalorian line 😭
I’m so sorry for your lost action figure, I feel the same as that way as well
I’m so sorry for you 😢 1:55
I want to pose Captain Marvel in flight, but I don’t think her belt-ish thing will support a hook.
Where did you get your display cabinet?
It's by IKEA and the cabinet is called "DETOLF", costs around $60 USD.
Where did you get the wired cape for the superman?
It might be a Jaxon Xu cape, the Superman figure in this video was a spare figure that I bought off a fellow collector and the wired cape was already attached.
@@PosingwithPeter oh cool do you think there's a website that would sell wired capes.
I wish i had a marvel action figures
Reality no money
Can you please teach us how to do wired capes
If you’re wondering how to make a wired cape, the pose master Terry Smith made a brief video tutorial that explains how to add wire to a cape:

Hope that helps!
My justice league superman leg fell out and I'm trying to put it back in and it won't go back in I don't know what to do.
Oh no that’s terrible! I suppose you could try disassembling the figure by removing the cape then suit to glue the leg back into place or do a full body swap with a Phicen. That’s a huge bummer, I hope you’re able to get it resolved.
*Pls do a pose mk 2, mk4, mk6, mk7 pls*
Sorry, out of all those figures I only own the Mk6 and his joints are kinda loose at this point, can't really hold a pose 😅
@@PosingwithPeter ohh that's ok keep it up more videos to come 😊
Could you do the hover pose with an iron man?
Likely not with the string & wire method shown here.
If you’re on Instagram, check out OneSixthPosing - he uses clear acrylic rods to suspend his figures and it looks spectacular: instagram.com/onesixthposing?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Doesn’t the weight eventually damage the fabric over time ?
It’ll ultimately depend on the figure itself along with where exactly the thread is tied to the body / belt / joint / suit etc. I kept my figures floating for months and found no damage when I inspected them upon packing & moving not too long ago. Just gotta be extra mindful of how to suspend the figure.

I’m so jealous of the Superman I wish I had him but he so expensive right now😪
If you're okay with a decent looking knock-off version, look up "Art by Art Transcendent". There are pics / video reviews out there and it's around $150 USD.
i'll try this with my Boba Fett
Nice! That'll be pretty awesome having Boba in a mid-flight pose. I'm glad ya found the info in this video helpful. Thanks for watching & commenting!
The problem is I can't even unzip my Superman suit because it is too tight
Oh dang - it’s been a while since I did this mod but if I remember correctly, I think the zipper can get snagged on fine-threads.
