So here's the thing @cdobrown7475. What Roland did was no where near obsequious. He managed to get her EXCLUSIVELY as the story gained momentum. The smart thing he did was let her talk, let her give her side so he can then follow up by fact checking her statements and claims and REPORT THE FACTS! How would it have benefited his viewing audience to shut her down so quickly? There would have been an interview of any substance. What he did is more impactful in showing who she really is. Anyone with a brain knows that the financials are going to be compared to previous years and the differences will need to be explained and just cause shown in explanation. If a new fleet of city cars that wasn’t an expense the year before, those invoices must be turned over and a complete audit of the city expenses will be done. Remember the look on Tiffany’s face when that WGN reported caught her in a lie, you are going to see that look a lot! This is a mess but no one at this point knows how bad it is! When the refrigerator door is opened after being unplugged for a year in a 100 degree garage, you all are going to need to back up! That’s the damage Tiffany has caused!

I’m sure the FBI is already at work. They have to either use or contract a forensic auditor. They are a corrupt official’s worst nightmare. They’ll subpoena all financial records. Credit card statements, invoices, village records. They will go back years from what dates I have listened to, they are talking 2-3 years of data. That’ll take a while.
