I’ve been wondering for a while: how do you consider your mixes to be “metal”? I mean, usually what you do guitar-wise is the melody with a chord progression in the background, with minimal emphasis on metal riffs. So, technically, wouldn’t your stuff be some form of hard rock?
That's a really good question. I think I don't really believe in (brut) genres tbh. Fusion of styles is what really catches my interest but y'know... I gotta label this shit. Aggressive drums and high gain will always be "metal" to me.

Michael Sobin did it more interesting - he even did the intro scale on the guitar. Here its just piano. Also this generic djenty tone starts to irritate.
This song ironically makes the alliance sound like the horde, and I love it
