I used Rislone to clean out a used Triton that had 84k miles on it. It quieted the noise at idle significantly and now has 121k miles on it. I don't know about new engine noise but it helped my 9 year old engine quiet down. Ford puts something in the factory oil so these cars are quiet at the dealer as new I'm convinced of that. Good luck!

I got to say I was skeptical at first 2013 5.0 GT 84000 miles tick was really bad after oil change last month. Yesterday, I put the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W 30 three-quarters of the rislone bottle had the tick last night today drove 89 miles in 98' heat here in San Fernando California absolutely no tick other than the injectors thank you GTA-GT
I recommend Motul synthetic 5/20 with no additive. My tic was gone right away. Motul synthetic is recommended for Ford's now in the 5/20. I was using Liqui Moly Synthetic and the tic was still there. Thank god my mechanic is always looking out for his customers and kept inquiring with the sales rep for Motul and low and behold they have brought the Ford Motul synthetic oil to market. No Tic!!!
First 1000 miles, no redline and letting the engine come up to temp will prevent the tick. It's from the tight tolerances, pistons not brought to temperature and revving it up. Do not leave your car with a mechanic and trust them, with a tune you can enable valet mode and have a rpm restriction. Pennzoil Ultra is what we use in our STI and Amsoil 5w50 in the Coyote. No ticks at all. The piston has a tapper with the arc welded liner.
@Uknown2445 it happens from not allowing the plasma to expand properly. Dealership could of allowed someone elese to test drive your car, started it up cold and revved it up. When I purchased my 2019 I specifically requested mine without the dealer prep done (limits rpm) I also own a 19 STI, same deal. Hey, thank you for your comment. What your saying makes sense, but I’m not willing to go thru what your going thru. I’m enjoying the car it’s not sitting at the Ford dealership for months on and on. The real problem is ford doesn’t even know what to do, and your wasting your time getting new engines replaced they are going to tick. Michael Graham hey Michael, I appreciate your input thanks for stopping by
Even in California weather?
It's not the additive.... It's the extra 1 quart of oil.
No rhe
car was ticking like crazy after the 1st oil change they put 9.5 quarts of oil. The car kept type writing like crazy for 2 weeks and then I added the Rislone additive. No tick ever since bro.
Than you for your comment brother all the best!
@@gta-gt7117 yeah I get it... Put it at the proper level.. And just pour one extra qt. in.
@@SHADOWBLACKs650 have you tried this?
@@orangefury272 my 17' is noisy... 1 extra quart and it's quiet.
5w 30 is track oil... you want to run 5w 20 for everyday use... but hey, knock yourself out.
I like to rev mine so 5W 30 it is. You get better protection bottom line.
Some are using 5W 50 in these engines. The way I see it a high performance engine needs a high performance oil, specifically if you like using the power the stang comes with.
All the best
Sounds good !!!
Thank you Sergio, I appreciate that
Has your tick come back or it fix fs ?
Hasn't come back yet.
Stp ceramic worked for me
Lmao 😂 good luck additives will mask the issues but it’s not fixing piston 👋
It's not pistons that are ticking it's the HLA's and it's not an issue. Just a bunch of arm chair mechanics making it one.
Saml01 lmao my car was bought back because of piston slap but ya your right. You see inside my old block you might change your tune. Also my 10r80 burned up second an fourth gear. But ya so many guys know everything I just lived threw the hell waiting 2 months for ford to pay off my loan after they told me they knew the mustangs an f150s have problems. You can see my tick videos on my channel. If you want to see what my old motor looked like I have tons of pictures inside the old block lmao tick is real. Written on my paperwork it says knocking noises at idle. Tech says it’s piston slap after ford did Oil analysis an that failed an bore scoped they found scoring in 3 cylinders 1-3-5 number 1 was the worst. So bad my car would wouldn’t come out of limp mode. Big thing if you know anything about motors if you have a tick or piston slapping. When you add a additive such as ceratec why do you think the car gets quiet 🤫. Because it’s coating the cylinder walls it’s not fixing a problem it’s masking a issue.
@@underfedcoyote5.022 wow- you had a lot of trouble; sounds like karma to me.
joey zaza hope the new 14 holds up to the blower sure wasn’t trusting the 18 not the way I race.
Yeap! They aren't fixing it! Just wait until you warranty goes out and boom! Lol!
Engine tick is normal, lol mustang 2012 has it too
My tick is gone, I haven't herd it since I used the rislone.
All the best
@@gta-gt7117 i might give it a try on my own!
you must have the tickertang option , add the rislone or have your friends laugh at you when you pull up.
5w50 motorcraft
for my. 4.6💪
Yeah ! You got rid of the thick but you didn't fix the problem! It will be bad! One of the cylinder is out of spec that cousing the piston slap!
Pistons are too heavy to tick, they knock.
The tick will come back.
Hasn't yet. Still sounds great luckily.
Two years and it still hasn’t come back bro? From just one treatment man? Really appreciate the feedback as I just got the tick. I hate it
@@NewBreedRising it hasn't come back yet. The car sounds great no tick. Give it s try Daniel, hopefully you will have the same results.
@@gta-gt7117 can you put it in automatic and manuals both?
@@NewBreedRising
You sure can Daniel. Also use the same oil I used on the video, make sure its race approved W30 not 20. Aftet the fresh oil is in add the Rislone in.
Let me know how it goes.
Stopped watching after 30 seconds with the background noise.
Kelly Collison
Hey Kelly skip thru the mambo jumbo and get to the video 😂 there is good info and it’s from true ownership experience. Enjoy your day.
The tick is normal
Where the before video of this "horrendous" tick?
Saml01 I didn’t make a video, I was very upset about it and didn’t want this channel to go in that direction. Now that the car is not ticking anymore I want to share my experience with you guys.
@@gta-gt7117 or there was no tick and this is just an ad for Pennzoil to fix something that isn't even a problem.
Saml01 no it’s not an ad for Penzoil at all, plus the car was ticking like crazy after the 1st oil change which was when I put the penzoil in it was the Rislone that fixed the problem and this is not an ad for them as well. Things happened exactly the way I explained them on the video. Is this going to work for all Mustangs that tick I don’t know, I can just say it worked for me.
I still am having this issue with my car. I have exhausted all avenues, and only left is a court battle.

Didn't help me🤦♂

all u did was put a bandaid on the problem.

Lol no thanks, they have their own problems. But if I could have both, sure that would be the ultimate
