I like this style of sketchbook !
I used to be picky and made my own, 8" square, 250gsm mixed media papers. And then one day, I bought a little dollar store sketchbook. The paper was so thin and crinkly, and so many of the pages would just fall out and I'd have to tape them back in. But I LOVED it! I loved the low-pressure of it, scribbling notes and thumbs on backsides, letting alcohol ink bleed through to make ethereal mirrored images, the grunginess of all the tape. I couldn't go back to the heavy boys after that.

It never occurred to me to make studies based on the comics/graphic novels I read, and I totally should because I find them so inspiring, but I forget all about it as soon as I start reading the next one.

To be fair, caterpillars kinda do look like dragons! Can't wait for the creative juices stickers and I hope you explore the spell books again someday when you fall out of your color revolution (which has been fantastic 💖)

I have an abusive relationship with my POSCA markers. I've never had a good experience with them but I keep trying only to later feel like it was MY fault. It either pills up my paper and looks gross or I can never shake it enough and it comes out transparent, never fully opaque. Do they make support groups for that sort of thing 🤷🏽♀️ I tried, but no go.
Luckily the paintbrush is my BFF.
I'm just near the end of the lime Moleskine and it really influenced my work, I have so many pages with lime green on so I'm curious if it does the same to you
oh how interesting! I guess if I start putting lime green paint on things I'll know why...haha!
