The first live action cast was so perfect. Not only for Haruma Miura, also since the first time I feel the actress that play Sawako was so good that I can see Sawako in her for the cute and innocent face and also for the scary face that she can portray. And in general the cast resemble the characters of Kimi ni Todoke except Pin.
I don’t watch live actions so often but Haruma Miura left such an impact to the point I still remembered him for years after watching this. He had this smile that makes you smile in return. Whatever his reason is for taking his own life, I hope he knew that he was special too.
You know, I'm one of those people who is passionately against making live actions of well loved manga/anime series, somehow they always get it wrong; wrong casting, terrible acting, trying to pretend to be the characters but looking awkward af...live actions are not their strongest asset. However, I'm really glad they decided to bring Kimi no todoke to life, for the first time ever, dare i say, everything is perfect. They got it perfect. They managed to perfectly capture this sweet, innocent coming of age love story through brilliant directing, smooth scenes, wonderfully recreated prominent moments from the original...The casting was perfect, their acting captures the nature of the characters brilliantly, and most important of all, they didn't try to awkwardly pretend they were anime characters. ahhhh i love the two leads!! so sweet and cute, for the first time ever, i can confidently say this is a live action manga adaption I'm very fond of. :)

Glad to see i wasn't the only one to come back to this one after watching the Netflix one. The new series definitely had some great moments and i truly enjoyed watching it but of course the og live action chatacters have a special place in my heart. I love the casting for this version and i think it'll be very hard to get better actors to portray the characters with this movie setting the bar high
I remember in the end of year 2020 I saw a clip of Haruma from Last Cinderella where he played Saeki, I googled the show, I googled the cast too didn't noticed anything and then I searched him again and noticed he left a few months ago. I guess being an actor from such a very young age took a toll on his mental health. It is not an easy thing for sure to survive and stay positive in a harsh entertainment industry. I wish he could have shared his depressions with others, so he wouldn't decide to do the unthinkable. Hope he would rest in peace.

For real, I still can't believe Haruma Miura has passed. :( He was born for the Kazehaya role and I can't see any one else as Kazehaya. I'm sorry for Netflix's new version but I don't think a lot of us can see Kazehaya in any other actor. Miura and his beautiful smile always in my heart.
