    Thank you so much! At 00:11:44 you start talking about setting up a PTZ outside the LAN. Do you have any videos where you cover that? Any information that you can provide? I need to move some PTZ camera to a different location outside... How can I bring those in to the control room? Once again thank you so much! Great work that you are doing! Best, Selmo

      You can use Zoom which does support remote PTZ controls for PTZOptics cameras. You could also use SRT. But the best might be NDI Bridge

    Hello, is it possible, to mute the camera picture automatically when calling a preset?
    For example: Changing from preset 1 to 2 the picture mutes, so you don’t see the movement while changing the position.
    Currently we use the freeze option.

    • @PTZOptics
      @PTZOptics  6 місяців тому

      Hi Paul,
      With the new MOVE 4K and SE cameras. You can change a option with the Web UI, so the picture freezes while the camera is PTZing and then unfreezes when it stops.

    Hello, I set up a PTZ 20x at my church today. We are using this camera in conjunction with an ATEM mini pro going into OBS on a PC. The image from the PTZ camera is squeezed; I set the camera for 1080p 30. How do I remedy the squeeze and also, there is a green bar on the PTZ image in OBS. Are these issues related?

    • @PTZOptics

      We would recommend posting this more technical question be posted to our support forum or to our Facebook user group to ensure the issue can be remedied in a timely fashion. To offer one (1) suggestion though, I would make sure that after adjusting the video settings on the PTZOptics camera that you reboot the camera to fully commit those adjustments. If that does not resolve the issue please post this to the forums mentioned above or to contact the PTZOptics support team at support@ptzoptics.com

    Is it possible to change the default HOME position of the camera? My church has lost power a couple of times and when it comes back on, it always goes to default mode or the Home position. For masses, we only use one position so it would nice if Home was set to that position. Thanks!

    Can PTZOptics 30X-SDI Gen 2 be chain link to another PTZ Optics?

    • @PTZOptics
      @PTZOptics  3 роки тому

      One way to reduce cable lengths would be to extend a switch to the location central to the location of the camera. Then you can run two or more short cables to the cameras and a single cable to a small network switch. But no, you cannot daisy-chain network capabilities with these cameras.

    Hi,
    Are you able to use this camera without connecting it to a network. For example, HDMI output plugged into a video capture device and use the remote to control movement? particularly for remote locations where venues do not have a WIFI or network setup and a mobile hotspot is supplying the laptop for the live stream?

    • @StreamGeeks
      @StreamGeeks 3 роки тому +1

      Yes you can use the HDMI output for video and say the IR remote for control

    • @mattl640
      @mattl640 3 роки тому +1

      You don't need an actual data internet connection to connect. If you get a router for $30 hook it up to your camera, it will connect to your computer directly. Like a P2P or also known as point 2 point.

    • @PTZOptics
      @PTZOptics  6 місяців тому

      Hello!
      Based on general knowledge about PTZOptics cameras, it is possible to use them without connecting to a network. Here's how you can do it:
      HDMI Output: You can connect the PTZOptics camera directly to a video capture device or a monitor using an HDMI cable. This will allow you to get the video feed from the camera without needing a network connection.
      IR Remote Control: PTZOptics cameras typically come with an IR (infrared) remote control. This remote can be used to control the movement (pan, tilt, and zoom) and other settings of the camera. Since the remote control uses IR, it does not require a network connection to communicate with the camera.
      Mobile Hotspot for Streaming: If you are at a remote location without WiFi or a network setup, you can use a mobile hotspot to provide internet access to your laptop for live streaming. The camera's video output can be captured using a video capture device connected to your laptop, and then you can stream it using software like OBS, vMix, or Wirecast.
      Limitations: Keep in mind that without a network connection, you won't be able to use network-based features like IP control or NDI. Also, the range of the IR remote can be limited, so it's best used in smaller or medium-sized venues.
      Battery Power: If you are in a location without power outlets, ensure that you have a portable power solution for your camera and laptop.
      For specific instructions or additional information, please refer to the user manual of your PTZOptics camera, or contact PTZOptics customer support for assistance, especially if you have model-specific questions.

    At my prisual ptz camera web IP address, 10.0.0.71, I can control the camera, but when I select live, it does not show the image from the camera! I use this camera with Wirecast, which displays perfectly, as well as the Prisual Control board. I would really appreciate your help!

    • @PTZOptics
      @PTZOptics  Місяць тому

      Hello!
      It looks like you're using a Prisual PTZ camera, and we specialize in PTZOptics cameras and products. Unfortunately, we don't have the expertise to troubleshoot Prisual cameras. For the best assistance with your Prisual camera, we recommend reaching out to Prisual's support team directly.
      It sounds like your PTZ camera is accessible and controllable through its web interface and other software, but the live video feed isn't displaying on the web interface itself. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
      Check Browser Compatibility:
      Ensure you are using a browser that is compatible with your camera's web interface. Some camera interfaces work better with specific browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
      Clear Browser Cache:
      Sometimes cached data can cause display issues. Clear your browser's cache and try accessing the live feed again.
      Enable Plugins or Permissions:
      Some camera interfaces require specific plugins or permissions. Make sure that any necessary plugins are installed and that your browser has permission to display the camera feed.
      Update Firmware:
      Ensure that your camera's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates fix bugs related to video streaming.
      Network Configuration:
      Verify that your network settings allow for video streaming. Ensure that the camera's IP address (10.0.0.71) is correctly configured and that there are no network restrictions blocking the video feed.
      Check Video Stream Settings:
      Access the camera's settings through the web interface and make sure that the video stream settings (such as resolution, frame rate, and codec) are properly configured.
      Use RTSP Stream:
      If the web interface still does not show the live feed, try accessing the camera’s RTSP stream directly using a media player like VLC. The RTSP stream URL typically looks like this: rtsp://10.0.0.71:554/1

    • @PTZOptics

      that is a great question. NDI is directly integrated into most video production solutions and has an automatic discovery system (among other features). IP generally refers to RTSP or RTMP.

      Hello!
      If you're having trouble changing the IP address of your PTZOptics camera, there are several steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve this issue. Here's a structured approach:
      1. Connect the Camera to Your Network
      Initial Connection: Ensure the camera is properly connected to your network via Ethernet. The camera should be powered on and connected to the same network as the computer you're using to configure it.
      2. Use the PTZOptics IP Address Settings Tool
      Download and Install: PTZOptics provides an IP Address Settings Tool, which you can download from their official website. Install this tool on your computer.
      Detect the Camera: Run the tool and use it to detect the PTZOptics camera on your network. The tool should list all PTZOptics cameras connected to the network.
      Change the IP Address: Select your camera from the list and enter the new IP address that you want to assign to the camera. Make sure the new IP address is appropriate for your network's IP range and subnet.
      3. Manual Configuration via Web Interface
      Access the Web Interface: If you know the current IP address of the camera, you can access the camera’s web interface by typing the IP address into a web browser.
      Navigate to Network Settings: Look for the network settings section where you can manually change the IP address.
      Save and Reboot: After changing the IP address, save the settings and reboot the camera if required.
      4. Check for Firmware Updates
      Firmware Version: Ensure your camera's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, issues with changing settings can be resolved with a firmware update.
      5. Reset to Factory Defaults
      Factory Reset: If you're still having trouble, consider performing a factory reset on the camera. Be aware that this will reset all settings to their defaults. The process for a factory reset varies by model, so refer to the camera's manual.
      6. Consult the User Manual
      Detailed Instructions: Refer to your camera's user manual for detailed instructions on changing network settings. Each model may have slightly different procedures.
      7. Contact Technical Support
      If none of the above steps work, contact PTZOptics technical support for assistance. They can provide model-specific guidance and troubleshooting.
      Conclusion
      To change the IP address of a PTZOptics camera, use the PTZOptics IP Address Settings Tool or the camera's web interface. Ensure the camera is properly connected to your network, consider a factory reset if necessary, and check for any firmware updates. If problems persist, consult the user manual or reach out to PTZOptics' technical support for further assistance.

    The ptz camera I currently use has not been able to connect to my network using every step mentioned here and otherwise. The upgrade tool doesn’t recognize it. Adjusting my computers IP didn’t help it. Plz controller can’t connect to it. The IP address won’t pull up in any browser (Microsoft edge/chrome/Firefox) weather connected to a switch or directly to the computer.

    • @PTZOptics
      @PTZOptics  6 місяців тому

      Hey Josh,
      If your PTZ camera is not connecting to your network despite trying various methods, and you're unable to access it via its IP address or use the upgrade tool, there might be a deeper issue. Here are some advanced troubleshooting steps you can take:
      1. Hardware Reset
      Factory Reset: If accessible, perform a factory reset on the camera. This option might be available as a physical button on the camera or through a procedure outlined in the camera's manual. A factory reset will revert the camera to its default settings, which might help if incorrect settings are preventing network connectivity.
      2. Direct Connection to Computer
      Direct IP Configuration: Connect the camera directly to your computer using an Ethernet cable. Set your computer's IP address to a static IP in the same subnet as the camera's default IP. For example, if the camera's default is 192.168.1.100, set your computer to 192.168.1.101.
      Ping Test: Try pinging the camera's IP address from your computer to check for basic connectivity.
      3. Network Adapter Settings
      Check Adapter Settings: Ensure your computer’s network adapter is configured correctly to communicate with the camera. This includes checking for the correct subnet mask and gateway.
      4. Check for IP Address Conflicts
      IP Conflict: Ensure there is no IP address conflict on your network. Two devices with the same IP address can prevent proper network connection.
      5. Use Network Scanning Tools
      Scanner Tools: Use a network scanning tool to see if the camera is being assigned an IP address different from what you expect. Tools like Advanced IP Scanner or Wireshark can help identify devices on your network.
      6. Check Cable and Ports
      Ethernet Cable and Ports: Test with a different Ethernet cable and different ports on your switch/router. A faulty cable or port can cause connection issues.
      7. Update Network Drivers
      Update Drivers: Ensure the network drivers on your computer are up to date, especially if you're connecting the camera directly to your computer.
      8. Camera Firmware
      Firmware Issue: If the camera's firmware is corrupted or extremely outdated, it might cause connectivity issues. This is more challenging to address if you can't connect to the camera, but check the manufacturer's instructions for firmware recovery or update procedures.
      9. Contact Manufacturer Support
      Technical Support: If none of these steps work, reach out to the camera's manufacturer for support. They might have specific instructions or be able to offer a repair or replacement if the camera is faulty.
      10. PTZOptics Support
      Seek Professional Assistance: If you're not comfortable with advanced network settings, consider getting help from the PTZOptics Support Team
      Remember, dealing with network issues can sometimes be complex, especially with specialized equipment like PTZ cameras. A systematic approach, starting with the simplest solutions and moving to more complex troubleshooting, is often the most effective way to diagnose and resolve the issue.
