I usually find it’s a bit easier to glue them next to each other, staggered but over the size of the panel. Then trim to fit the panel. That way all your seams are even and less gap from piece to piece. Hope that saves you time next time!

That only works for plain flooring. Not Chevron and more intricate like she did here, cuts needed 45 degree angles
