SSR SR250 Build quality is better than expected, though you can tell it isn’t quite as polished as the Japanese model it mimics. Electric starting brings the SR to life, while engine response is amazingly peppy for a bike with a non-pumper carburetor. The cable-actuated clutches pull is a little heavy, but the engagement is smooth. First gear is low enough for trail riding, and the spread of the five transmission ratios is wide-a little more than typical for a 250. Power is plentiful for pulling through the transmission gaps, but the bike revs a bit slowly, lacking the snappy and aggressive response of 250cc motocross bikes. The front end feels raked out but provides a stable ride, which should be comforting to novices. Suspension is set up on the stiff side, but you can jump this bike and Swapping out the heavy CST tires would improve handling, while a couple of other small mods would transform the bike into a solid-performing machine. The SR250 already comes with an aluminum skid plate, but add a spark arrestor and the bike is ready for the trail. Other minor mods that would help would be a new seat (stock is too soft), grips, and better control levers. However you feel about Chinese bikes, the SR250 is a fun motorcycle at a very attractive price, and it performs at a level typical of machines costing much more. not worry about the landings, unlike with most other bikes in this price range. This was taken straight from a review in an article . i am looking to buy one !
sup bro, i bought the bike for $6,000 over in the walmart and the dude said i was getting a bargain!! mine goes 65mph tops and gets about 42-45 MPG its sweet!! The only problem is that It needs a steering stabilizer if you plan to go over 30+ MPH and it wobbles really bad and has super distracting vibrations. I do have to replace the clutch already...and it had a bad carb when I bought it so I already spent $$ more on it but yeah if you want something thats going to be apart of your life then yes bye it! GREAT DEAL 10/10 5 STARS
StilwellMotovlogger bull shit! your a lier! and now my bike wont even start but i called the guy and he said it probably needs a new cylinder but thats not that hard to replace so my dads boyfriend is going to help me do it i hope it wont cost much ive already spent over $10k on this beauty but when she runs it is so fun! its not street legal anymore because i got pulled over and an officer was a real prick about my bike with the plate the guy gave me for it and said it wasnt even real but still so much fun!!!!1
Evidence suggests it's better to run them hard after warm-up, only a short period of break-in time for a cylinder and the more pressure the better. We ran all of ours hard after warm-up, practically every one went over 250 hours on the original top except for the two strokes.
hey guys been seriously looking into getting one of these.are there any bikes it can be compared to realistically. do you have info on hp tq etc so i can compare.been looking for a dirtbike for a little while and if i buy an 06 kx250 its around what i can get for this brand new.so just curious if youve maybe done more vids on this or perhaps a review
Tristens Texas UA-cam, Over the last decade, we've sold many hundreds of Pit bikes, made in China, with the direction of US Companies. As long as people take care of their bike, they last quite well. One other thing to note: Honda has been making some of their smaller bikes in China since 2013, including the CRF50 and CRF110. Is Honda not a real brand dirt bike?
+Tristens Texas UA-cam There are many different brands, and I'm sorry to hear that, but we're not scamming anybody, and we stand behind the brands we sell.
Hey Ballwiz, This was our SSR250, but we don't happen to have it anymore. We sold it secondhand in 2015 after quite a few fun rides. We had no issues while we owned the bike, and ran it regularly. We're still in touch with customer who bought the bike from us, and they haven't told us of any big issues they had either. Good question!
At TBoltUSA we currently have the Pitster Pro LXR250 with Fuel Injection. It's a great bike. tboltusa.com/store/pitster-pro-lxr-250f-mxenduro-efi-p-9384.html
LET THE BIKE WARM UP!! You will ruin the engine if u don't let it warm up. Cylinder scoring, rings not expanding right, oil not being able to get all over your engine before you rev the shit outta it
MrKidkiller159 no its not it look exactly like a cr250 only thing different is plastics a little bit and of course the frame and engine but visually judging the bike looks exactly like a cr250f
It's pretty decent when you consider the price of the Honda and Yamaha 250-F's, but I can see it being kinda steep to take a chance on a brand if you've never had one of their bikes before.
dave g I think you raise a very valid point, and $3.5k can get you a very nice Japanese mx bike. That being said, my experience with the bike, (I'm the heavy guy in the video), has been pretty good. We put some Renthals on it, a bigger carb, and some softer seat foam so far. We got it in mid 2013 and have had some great rides with it. One thing I think it does show, is how inflated the price might be on some of the Japanese bikes brand new. Especially when Honda's making their newer mini-bikes in Main-land China.
Pastor Shawn Hey Pastor, Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I'm the heavy guy shown in the video, and this is my bike. It really hauls me around quite well. We've had this exact bike as our personal ride since before we made this video in the Fall of 2013, and it's worked very well for us. If you have any more questions, feel free to email via our site TBoltUSA.com

$6000???? wtf
You didn't get a bargain. You got ripped off. $6000 for a Chinese bike is terrible, you can get a much better Japanese motocross bike for that price!!

The one in the video is still running strong after a few years. I ride it pretty regularly.
thnx man..
It's basically a Honda clone
Looks good this bike really!
Is it safe to assume that assembly of the XF250 would be the same as assembling the 250R.?
Way to max it out on the first break in ride haha god
Bike wasn’t maxed out... had a lot of rpm left
haha! gotta check the suspension

Not the way to break in a engine that's brand new nuckle heads
You're right. We could have taken it a little easier, and we did putt around for a little while before the "first ride" part of the video.
@@TBoltUSA do you all have more in stock 😂
i think 3500 is on the high end for that bike though
