Meg is always busy with taking care of her family needs. She reminds me of having a house full of growing boys that were always hungry and so much laundry and I didn't have a dryer for years, only a clothes line. Meg has my respect and affection and is the woman of Proverbs. God bless y'all.
Yes! She was raised knowing the truth of God and His love, as was Ben...that they are raising their blessed children with the knowledge of Christ's precious love and traditional values proves that there is still hope for this world...❤🙏🇺🇸
Your family is extremely lucky that Meg never seems to tire of cooking. I have seriously wondered if you all would like to have a live-in elderly Grandma. I end up drooling every evening I watch your videos. God Bless you all.
Oh that Buggy... she just warms the heart so much! Watching her barefoot outside with Daddy is amazing! My favorite was when she was running from the shed back to the greenhouse and she was singing "back to the greenhouse.... back to the greenhouse..." So cute!
The wee one leaves you in the dust Ben. She's gonna keep you guys on your toes! Ben, we are in our 60's and just starting out. Two years into our farm. Talk about bad backs and knees. But I tell myself, I'm out there moving and stretching. You should see me doing slo-mo Tai- chi, collecting my free range eggs in the woods! Comical. Guys thanks so much for taking the time to film and edit for us. This is so much better than anything on TV.
The difference in the color of the soil between your bed with your compost in it and the soil in the high tunnel just shows the work you've been putting into it. And succeeding! Great stuff!
Meg, you are amazing the way you can multitask so many projects at one time plus make a delicious meal for the family! You are just so knowledgeable about cooking, canning preserving and preparing food. It seems like your family really enjoys your cooking too!
Another Hollarrific video...and even with Buggy "galloping" back to the tunnel after helping find more cups for dad! Meg the chops looked delish! And hope you "got over" your broken jar stretch from yesterday! Don't cry over spilt milk or broken jars( even if they're gallon size )!👍👀🤣😂🙂🙃🙂🙃😂🎯💪🙌🍽🐈🪄🔮🪄🌄
I gotta learn not to watch Meg cooking just before dinner! I can almost smell all those yummy aromas. Ben definitely needs a planting table... it's been like 60 years since I could sit in the dirt and plant stuff. We're not Buggie any more Brother. 😆 🤣 Btw... what blessing to have like minded homesteaders as friends. Community is precious.
When y’all pray over dinner it warms my soul !!! Ben THANK YOU for filming your in the moment “planning” that’s exactly how my day goes and you not editing it into perfectly choreographed cinematic … you get my point LOVE your whole family and again THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing us how it really goes down 🤠👍
It brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart watching your "busy" little girl. She is darling, and reminds be so much of some of our little grandaughters.
I'm enjoying watching you repot seedlings. Those beds look so nice for the onions! Yay, Miss P.! Way to eat a pork loin! The cheese on those look really good! Thanks Hollar family for this fun filled video!
By the way I had a large family that I cooked 43 boys and a girl and a husband and I actually cry when I see you guys sitting down and praying before you're male and enjoying each other's company I miss that desperately and I used to love to cook large amounts of food and so this is a very enjoyable show for me thank you
Good morning Ben hope you have a great day planting all your plants and pray they all grow good for you all i just love little Buggie she is so cute its wonderful how Meg is cooking so much its awesome
I am 71 years old. I have extreme pain in my lower back. I am on meds so I can move. Doctor said it was caused by repetitive movements. I have spent my life bending and reaching while starting, planting and harvesting my gardens. So be proactive, use a table, bend your knees and sit. Go Well. From BC 🇨🇦
I dont know what it is..... but i have been addicted to watching/listening to yalls videos.... just the sounds of all of yiur voices makes my day.... its how ive started my mornings for the past few weeks.... please dont ever stop making videos... Also i am trying my best to get my husband on the band wagon so we can all get healthy & grow our own food....
We only get hungry wen we watch The Hollar's channel! Now We're starving! We're gunna make those chops. Cant wait to see the rolled up loin. Greenhse looking good- coming to life, and those beds look beautiful. Cant wait to see those Osage Trees grow. Beautiful family.
I sure do miss my cooking ,dealing with a lot of inflammation and chronic autoimmune diseases,so I’ll just enjoy you all eating that yummy looking food.Hope anyone dealing with health issues don’t get too discouraged it takes discipline and eliminating many foods yet the pain free days are the light at the end of the. tunnel ,God bless and happy planting season 🇨🇦😘🌷💕
Such a pleasure to watch your channel. Your family is such a great example for all. The way you show appreciation for each other and each one of your amazing kids, while doing a multitude of projects. Great job Meg and Ben!!
Ah Ben you totally cracked me up! We do the same thing here use our potting soil for valuable crops and everything else gets planted in the good old dirt we have around the land. :D
Your soil beds are so rich in nutrients. Great job. Beautiful color. I have worked with clay in the past. So I give you cudoes for your hard work. Be successful and prosper. Love to see Meg in the kitchen planning meals. At the last minute. I am a single parent of 4 grown children so I appreciate real life videos. Love your family & content. Yay, yay, yay!!!
Little Buggy was a delightful way to open your video….she makes me smile every time she appears😘. The older I get (76) the harder it is to bend over for long periods of time😥. So I totally understand your pain😮! Meg, you’re a wonder to behold! You amaze me with all the things you have going at the same time and always a sweet smile on your face! The pork chops made my mouth water…yummers!
I love that you are growing bois d’arc trees. First house we bought was in Bois D’Arc MO. And yes there were bois d’arc trees everywhere. They also make for a long lasting fence post.
Awesome work on the plants 🪴 and the soil looks great Meg I love the pork chops idea definitely going to give it a try 😀 take care you all Pete cape Town 😀
I'm glad you're creating a natural privacy screen. Protect yourselves and your lifestyle. Buggie is so cute, growing so fast! Your boys are thriving as well!👍❤
I used to work in a greenhouse transplanting 500 geraniums as well as vegetables and having a bench was a back saver. Thanks Meg another good recipe for the cheesy chops. Ben, just a suggestion, why not use part of the farm house as a starter house for your plants ( check out Living Tradition Homestead)? Put in a ventless gas heater and small solar for the glow lights. Ble,ssings to you all. 😊🇺🇲
💖 All your plants are looking fantastic. Love seeing how ambitious you are, Ben. And you are not the only one! Meg is cooking her heart out again and we were able to catch a glimpse of some delicious pork chops she whipped up for dinner. Glad to see everyone is always eating so well. Take care! See you on your next video! ❇❇❇
The red seedling is beautiful. Making labels would be a good project for one or more of the boys. Home schooling Practice handwriting. All the pork chops look amazing Meg.
I am glad that you laid down your life for your family on the pork chops. It is always a pleasure to watch your family and the many projects you do. Once you get done with your list, you get to start over once more. The never ending list. Thank you.
All of our seedlings are in the greenhouse just waiting to to be planted out when the weather permits. Been canning bacon all day, still lots more to go, to make room in 1 of our 4 freezers. Next will be ground beef and stew meat.
I think your mystery plant is amaranth. I love growing it. It is a beautiful plant that has a drooping bloom and then seeds form on the bloom that can be eaten as grain.
I couldn't see the seed well enough to guess, so that would determine it. Just the stem and leaf attachment and rough leaf edges looked like purple leaf rootstock plum to me, aka Myrobalan plum. That has a gorgeous color, very small fruit (bird plums) and suckers like a mad thing when grafted to nicer plum varieties, but it is tough as nails. Also, thorny. Righteous member of the Osage Orange Hostility Row!
You are a blessing to watch. Getting garden fever watching, but up here in southern NY we have about a month before we can get outside in the gardens 😊
Is there a way you can make use of some of the vertical upper space in your poly tunnel? Ben, you are so handy...maybe a way to make a frame of some sort and hang some lightweight wire baskets with spinach/ lettuce/kale/snow peas before it gets super hot? Meg, you sure do love to cook and preserve! I hope you got outside a little bit, Meg!
My intention has always been, when I finally get some land, is to plant a prerimeter fence of osage orange. Something else you may want to try since you are doing the same: cut them and throw the pulp and seeds and let them ferment with some water. I don't remember how long to let them go, but once they are done, dig a trench, then pour the seeds in and cover. They should have good germination. I need to find that article I had saved about it (lost all my "future homestead" files in a stupid crash)
Thanks for another great video! When you were wondering what the seedling was, the first thing that I thought was elm. I grew up on a farm, and our driveway was lined with Chinese elm trees. We'll see!
You guys are planting and we still have 3 feet of snow, wish we had longer growing season, we have a green house , love your channel, from New Brunswick,Canada ❤
That dinner looked so good we had a pork other white meat craving. Of course now I've seen classes should be pink. 🤣Stay warm the chill is coming. 🙏❤️ Buggy growing up so fast
Another good pork dish is to cut up the pork into chunks( searing it in bacon grease in a skillet) then in the oven toss chunked sweet potatoes, apples and onions, with cinnamon, allspice, salt then butter and a bit of bacon grease bake til tender then toss in the pork and serve as a great dish together.
It’s a shame we don’t have more time and energy in a day! Everything looks great, Meg was so busy today. The pork chops your student told you about looked so good and I agree with Ben about the bleu cheese.
Love the cutlet idea, mmm. Smoked gouda, and a mustard mayo, maybe. Meal looked amazing all around! Still need to try making that cesar dressing from awhile back. Red Savina is meant to be a larger, thicker, hotter habanero. We grew it a few years, but the flavor wasn't that significant to give it space again this year, over any other habanero. (Have plenty still in one freezer that need to be turned into something anyway, so my tune may change when we run out!) The larger size does make it less fiddly when you are trying not to cut your gloves during processing. The heat was a bit random. Some were totally as advertised, others seemed the same as a basic hab. The bhut Jolokias (ghosts) were still more flavorful, and the heat, hm, bloomed nicer, even though it's more heat? In our opinion, soil, weather, etc.
My husband has an app on his phone called picture this. He can open the app and show his phone the plant and it will tell him what it is. He has a green house he grows flowers in. You might want to try the app on your phone to find out what that little plant is. LOVE-LOVE-LOVE your youtube channel.
Me again. My favorite way to fix pork chops is the way my mom always fixed them. Dredge pork chops in a mixture of flour, salt, pepper and onion powder. Slowly brown both sides in oil (I use olive oil) in a skillet over medium to medium low heat. When well browned cover with water and a lid. Simmer on low to simmer setting. Check frequently and add more water. Cook for close to an hour. What you get is tender pork chops smothered in gravy.
ROFL! I did the same thing! I had muffuletta peppers coming out and I thought they were Japanese eggplants. Lmao! I tasted one and that’s all it took…I’d recognize them anywhere. Lol. Thanks for the chuckle. I’m a new gardener (obviously). Thanks for the laugh out loud!

Meg is the supreme anti-fem. A great example of how it once was...is mostly...and the savior of our species.
She is a good Christian wife and mother. The world needs more like her.
You guys need a new T-shirt that says
'Cooking all the things' in honor of Meg's daily cooking marathons. 😉👍❤️
How about one that says ( COOKING ⚗🥣IS A JOY WITH MAG & MUNCHKIN. )
Or My kitchen, my rules! :-D
Your family is extremely lucky that Meg never seems to tire of cooking. I have seriously wondered if you all would like to have a live-in elderly Grandma. I end up drooling every evening I watch your videos. God Bless you all.
🤣😂🤣😂make they two 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Maybe 2 grammas?
Hey, I'd love to have that position too. 😆 Will snap beans, peal potatoes and read to Buggie for days. Pick me! 🤶
Oh that Buggy... she just warms the heart so much! Watching her barefoot outside with Daddy is amazing! My favorite was when she was running from the shed back to the greenhouse and she was singing "back to the greenhouse.... back to the greenhouse..." So cute!
I'm up in years now, living vicariously with the Hollar family. I just love them!
I had to watch little Miss running and singing ten times or so, she is such an absolute joy.
Seeing Ben sitting down in the greenhouse made me smile. I think the only time I've seen him sitting is when he's eating 😂😂😂....sorry Ben. 😋
The wee one leaves you in the dust Ben. She's gonna keep you guys on your toes! Ben, we are in our 60's and just starting out. Two years into our farm. Talk about bad backs and knees. Megan You are My HERO Multitasker. great Woman.
Hey there ☺️
“Plenty of dirt to use.” Man those words are music to my ears. I never have enough dirt or compost. Goals!
It brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart watching your "busy" little girl. She is darling, and reminds be so much of some of our little grandaughters.

Wise move to get the trees in your dirty ASAP.. really love the way you are on your homestead... hats off to you all.. much love and respect
Based on our limited knowledge and a google check I believe the Lizard the Kids found is called a Eastern Fence Lizard Pretty neat!
That’s what they found in their field guide too!
We grew up calling them Pine Lizards 60 years ago in rural GA.
I love and admire you all. God bless you.
Love the educational content, and the transparency/ honesty about mistakes and not know some things !
Solid Dude and great family
Pork chops with apple sauce heaven for sure thank you ALL stay safe
Ah Ben you totally cracked me up! We do the same thing here use our potting soil for valuable crops and everything else gets planted in the good old dirt we have around the land. :D
Another great day on the Hollar Family Homestead! The soil in the beds looks awesome! Blessings on your day Kiddos! 🥰🌻🐛💕
It’s hard to imagine a happier child than your Buggy. ❤❤❤
Might be Slippery Elm. They seed out very easily and have that reddish tinge. Yay!
Your soil beds are so rich in nutrients. Great job. Beautiful color. I have worked with clay in the past. So I give you cudoes for your hard work. Be successful and prosper. She is getting so big. You are truly blessed!!!
Good job up potting and prepping the beds, Ben.
Meg your food looked amazing as always.
Love watching buggie. That little one wants to help with everything.

It SNOWED in Ca today! We got like 6 inches!!! Loving your garden!
I am glad that you laid down your life for your family on the pork chops. It is always a pleasure to watch your family and the many projects you do. Once you get done with your list, you get to start over once more. The never ending list. Thank you.
I never thought about saving seeds from the hedge apple. I’ll have to do that this next year! Thanks!
thanks for the video hope you all have a wonderful week-end.

Cool seeing those beds go from bright red to dark brown
All of your compost and amendments plus hard work is really paying off, that soil looks rich with nutrients!
The red leaved tree looks like a plum leaf to me but the seed was more like a cherry. Great progress everyone! Blessings to all🤗💜🇨🇦
Picturethis app says cherry plum so you seem to be on to something
Cherry Plum is what my PictureThis app said also
Cherry plum is what I thought
You and Sow the Land are 2 of my FAVORITEs!
Soil looks really good where you are Rototilling. Hoping you have a great harvest.
Loved today’s episode!
Productive outside as well as inside and came away with a new recipe to try 😊
Hello there 😁 beautiful
Another great vlog. You grow so much, I learn lots as I watch. Meg cooks so much yummy food. 💕💕🌻🌻
Thanks for another interesting video. So many chores to do, inside & out. It's wonderful!!! God bless.
Never a dull moment with this family... God bless you all,
Allll righty then, gonna do the loin chop cheese thing! Cant wait! Another wonderful video as always Hollar family!
That dinner looked so good we had a pork other white meat craving. Of course now I've seen classes should be pink. 🤣Stay warm the chill is coming. 🙏❤️ Buggy growing up so fast
💚Yay for up-potting, tilling new beds, prepping old beds and eating pork chops! 💚
Hey there
Love the cutlet idea, mmm.
My husband makes a version with caramelized onions under the cheese
Wonderful video! Loved it. Keep 'em coming!
They pork chops looked amazing Meg!!, il be adding that to my cooking list too, have a great day guys, love ❤️ n hugs from Shropshire England 🇬🇧 xxxx
My husband has an app on his phone called picture this. He can open the app and show his phone the plant and it will tell him what it is. He has a green house he grows flowers in. You might want to try the app on your phone to find out what that little plant is. LOVE-LOVE-LOVE your youtube channel.
🤣 I needed that laugh, thank you more than you know "I don't know if you can tell the difference..." I still laughed even writing it.
All this work is a labor of love
Hey there 😊
That’s a lot of multitasking Meg😊
What a blessing to have that sweet little helper.
Very good.
Possibly sand cherry or wild plum? Just a guess. Love watching you guys and I have gotten so many great ideas from you
