I have multiple ThruNIte units GP and you are correct they are incredible. One thing I’d mention is how incredibly durable they are. I have had many accidents all my fault and the light is built like a tank. The build quality it’s simply amazing and that’s definitely worth a mention. Nothing is even close or compares. I have the direct competition as well in CREE. Not even remotely close to ThruNite I hope you enjoy it. Mine are over 3 years old now not a single issue and well used.
Not in the market for a headlamp. However, you are one of the few reviewers I do listen too. Great channel.
Hi Gord! Thanks for “heads up” on the Thrunite headlamp! We have several Thrunite LED lights and they are quality devices. Thanks for sharing!
HNY Martin. Good products I am finding - love being handsfree. Hope you are keeping well!
Good morning Gord . In maintenance head lamps are must . They are also great for seeing ticks on dogs .You can spot them really easy 👍
Appreciate your honest reviews and really enjoy your channel!
GP I really like you and your videos, I hope the channel helps fund projects and “retirement” so I totally approve of you honestly capitalizing from your channel. 👍
I appreciate that CB! I am hoping it will help. Cheers and thanks again!
I remember trouble lights much less fondly. I did not mind them so much when screw in non-incandescent bulbs became available.
Very nice job Gord. Great info covering the light, pros and cons....
Thanks for the review Gord. I have multiple headlamps and now may have another. Gonna go check this one out.
Good evening Gord, thanks for sharing this information with us. Trouble lights are correctly named for sure. Definitely TROUBLE, got burned many times using the trouble lights while working outside on vehicles, those were still great days. Stay safe and keep warm. Fred.
LOL! So true. Cheers Fred!
I definitely like my headlamp. Nice looking unit.🌴🏝
Wow one the first to watch and now to comment. Thank you for the demo of the THRUNITE TH30 V2 Headlight. will have to check out. Keep up the good work and Happy New Year !!! 😁
I just ordered one Thanks for all the great videos. Very helpful.
Tim from Maine
Great Review! I have the smaller TruNite JR H01 headlamp and use it all the time, but I think I may upgrade to TH30 you showed!
Good evening GP 👌 Yes in deed head lamp are great OUSTANDING 👌👍🧐 GP that is lamp is VERY POWERFULL, I wish I had these when I was inspecting our RCAF aircrafts 😉👍 Cheers 🍻👌👍🧐
Love your gloves.
I’m buying one tonight…….great video…..I need this
Nice job, Gord, I can see one of these in my future! Thanks for your input. Cheers!
Thanks Gord good review I like that light I have about three head lamps put they all take triple A batteries would like to have one you recharge it looks very bright it would be great for snowshoeing at night thanks so much have to look in to one take care
Thanks, Gordon. Good stuff & honest . Blessings from Oregon Territory (not Portland.) 🤣
Nice review GP - I have 4 headlamps from the Army days, 1 in the tool box, 1 in the bathroom, 1 in the kitchen and 1 in the truck - speaking of trucks, clean the leaves out from under the hood lol. I'll look into the THRUNITE for ice fishing now. Cheers and stay safe
Very informative Gord, thanks! Have a great weekend. 👍 ❄️😎🇺🇲🇨🇦
Thanks, you too Chris!
Nice job GP. Great review. Your corded light much like my own is very clean. Not like the ones we grew up with hey. I think they belong in an antique museum these days. Happy New Year from NL
LOL! Happy New Year Andy!
Ohh let there be light!!
LOL! Cheers Dave!
You have to be kidding. I just ordered this light this afternoon!
LOL!!
Oh that's really nice. I really like how wide that field of light is. I have a head mounted unit that I don't use because the light is too focused, and not broad enough to be useful. I will check these out as I am getting older as well, and routinely notice that seeing better is a lot safer. Thank you Gord.
Cheers!
Interesting light. I first started using a headlamp snowmobiling at night. Great for problems on the trail when you needed to look under the hood. I lost my light and my Dremel tool at the same time. I offered them to my daughter when she was trimming the dogs nails. I have not seen them since and that was about 9 years ago.
LOL!! Great idea to carry it with me on sled trips. Thanks BG! And -sorry you lost it...if you have a daughter, I am pretty sure you have "lost" a few other things along the way. For some reason, they liked Dad's stuff...:))
Looks like another great product GP. I’ll have to check it out, love head lamps, got them everywhere. Your right about the ole trouble lights, they just collect dust now. I got 2 in the shop, one on a reel from the ceiling and never use them anymore. Thanks for the Video .👍
Some good memories of old with the trouble light for sure. Most memorable moment- standing in the freezing cold with my Dad trying to keep it pointed where he wanted. LOL. Cheers Bob!
@@GPOutdoors Yep same here he used to say “Can you see” me yup “Good I can’t “ 🤣😂
LOL!
I think most people would enjoy that light, it's nice and bright. I had the same model as the older one you have but I didn't like it. I prefer a light with a magnet, hook and or a swivel that I can place or attach in the area that I need to see.
Nice light.
Nice review GP. 😁👨🚒
Great video Gord. Recently moved to a smaller town, and still getting use to the much colder and darker winter, the value of a good flashlight is critical. Not to mention I kinda have a thing with flash lights so having probably double than what I need seems just right to me.
GP good thing I’m not married. You just create more work. Be safe my man.
Hmmm you have a small gold mine with that trouble light Gordon. Cut the wire off if it’s and use it for something else. Meaning being is I needed a small piece of romex wire. 12-2 for a small project. I bought 15’ piece it cost me $27.53 cents at Lowe’s almost $2.00 a foot. Inflation is unreal! Cheers my friend.
Thanks for the review Gord, any data on using in the cold weather? Wonder if the battery life is much shorter?
Thanks!
Hi Scott. Great question - I only used it that one day getting the tractor ready for winter. So I can't say to be honest. So far so good though.
I purchased 2 of these, had a problem with them getting very hot, response from ThruNite - You must monitor the heat of the light with your bare hands during operation. If the light becomes too hot to hold at the hottest area then you must turn down 1 or more level or OFF for the light to cool down. The hottest area is usually around the head of the light. - Hopefully this version has resolved this problem.
Hey Sherpa. Great feedback. That was a key area I kept checking during the testing. The other handheld got so hot you could not hold it but this one gets warm but has not become hot such that I could not hold the head. However it sits away from your forehead so I never felt the heat. Also I noticed the instructions say not to run it on it's max setting for more than 10 minutes. Hope that helps. Cheers!
GP, looks like a very nice light. Where can I pick up one of those backwards hats to go with it though? 🙂 Just ribbing you! Best regards
LOL!! Hey I think my hair would have scared you all that day...:))
w00t!
Trouble lights, *_ ...nothing but trouble!!! _* I can't count the number of times that I burnt my forearm on one with the a metal shroud that I inherited from my dear old dad, or how many times I had to stop what I was doing and go get a fresh light bulb when it dropped off of where it was hooked. Pretty sure that I sent that monster to the dump in the '80s.
I got a w00t!! Yup, sounds familiar. Cheers W!
Looks awesome; clean the cowling from debris in the toyota
LOL!! I knew someone would mention it Mike!
I'd like to know about the durability of the straps. I already have two decent lights with straps that have lost all their stretch.
umm THANK YOU
