Made this the other day and I never seen food disappear so fast! I did however modify a little: I added 1 TBSP of liquid smoke to the marinade, an extra TBSP of olive oil, and I subbed cayenne for the "pepper" (1/2 tsp) and just a few shakes of black pepper as well. Also, as the bell peppers and onions are sauteing, I add 1 more TBSP of lime juice, 3/4 can of Rotel "chili fixins" (seasoned diced tomatoes and green chilis in can), some fresh chopped cilantro and let is saute some more. BIGGEST FLAVOR TIP: After sauteing the shrimp and setting to the side, add a tad bit more olive oil to the pan and add some ground chorizo from a cased link. Saute the chorizo for about 45 seconds to a minute before adding your shrimp back in to give them a stir and get all the chorizo flavor into the shrimp. I had to use a half link per large skillet of shrimp. Then toss back in the other sauteed veggies, stir and VOILA!!!! I hope someone else tries it this way and tell me how it turns out for them. Keep in mind this was for at least twice as many shrimp as i had thawed and cleaned the whole bag.
I’m gonna say that I tried everything on this recipe today for dinner for my fiancé and I and honestly I was so impressed with how amazing and flavorful and tasty this dish came out today like I was beyond proud of myself and the time and effort and love I put into this recipe today for dinner. It was fire 🔥 my fiancé even loved the recipe and told me it was bomb and that sauce really gave the dish something mesmerizing, it was the best recipe 😍😍😍😍
