Great Video, Another step to add if you clean your Airbrush with a Cotton Bud is to use canned air or a compressor to blow out the Airbrush . Fibers from the cotton Bud sometimes can get trapped inside the Airbrush and could end up in your paint work.
I've been doing a lot of painting recently, amd I found that it alsp works to just take the needle out, clean it, clean the front, and then use a qtip to clean the inside of the airbrush, especially when just switching colors. When I'm done painting, I usually do those steps and then make sure to spray some thinner through to make sure all the paint is gone.
Yes I really needed this video. Just bought my 1st airbrush and so excited to start painting
Good luck and have fun man! 😃
I'd prefer to remove the needle from the front in case you got some dry paint in the nozzle that could cause the tip to bend a bit everything else is great little bit on the caution side of the ultrasonic cleaner seen it destroy the cups after prolong uses great vid again man
I was going to say I have seen this advice too. Pull the needle out from the front. Good video. Thanks for sharing.
Hmm im still too afraid to start with colours im still preparing and training with water but this video really helped me Thank you Studio G for ypur help
No need to be afraid, man! As long as you take it apart, practice cleaning, and put it back together a few times until you’re completely comfortable, you can start painting just fine. For practicing paint control, start on a scratch piece of paper or cardboard and hash together a lot of vertical and horizontal lines, then practice shooting a dot in the center of each square. Helps build muscle memory and dexterity. Another practice is spraying spoons for seeing what colors look like on plastic, and you can try shading the edges to get the feel for how that works too. Happy painting. 😁

Thank you very much for the advice you know what screw it im going to paint that Blue Destiny Medical type yeah confidence restored thank you again
Awesome, man! You’re welcome! That sounds like a sweet project.
a set of airbrush pipe cleaners are very useful. if you have trouble sourcing them though, soft dental picks would be a good alternative
Tutorial Tuesday is back 🔥 this is a must need for beginner builders
Thanks really helped I just picked up my first airbrush
i hope next giveaway will be spoons! or sporks!🤣 jkjk nice vid as always🔥
When cleaning your airbrush (and painting) you should wear gloves, goggles, and a mask! The Airbrush Cleaners are generally toxic, so you don't want to inhale the vapors or get them in your eye (don't think it can happen, because it definitely can, no matter how careful you are). Airbrush Cleaners and Isopropyl Alcohol will irritate your exposed skin as well. Also flammable :p
Be careful about what type of Airbrush you have. If your airbrush has rubber gaskets, prolonged exposure to cleaning agents may degrade them and cause the Airbrush to malfunction, so read up on your Airbrush before soaking.
Tip: find Hobby Cotton swabs, or ones that are less, 'fluffy'. Regular cotton swabs may leave stray fibers and get into your paint cup or into your paint/nozzle.
The reason you would pull the Needle through the front is so that there is less chance for the paint to reach the internal parts that are hard to clean.
Some airbrushes have to pull the Needle through the back, in that case, if you don't have rubber gaskets, coating the Needle in cleaner and inserting and re-inserting a few times will help remove any stray paint on the inside.
Your first point about wearing gloves is very important. Most solvents that you expose your skin to can be absorbed by the body and over time will put you at risk for lymphoma. I have seen this happen, so don't let it happen to you.
I would love to see you do a king tiger or panther .your work is flawless!!!
Need more tutorials from you man, where have you been for week
(I want DIY runner holder as you did)
When are you going to do a coustom MG Dynames?
He's said multiple times that he can't buy more kits for the moment until he moves back to Malaysia. He just can't travel with all of his kits and home stuff back to his homeland. He has answered this question millions of times, on stream, on videos on IG.
He wants to but for the moment he can't, that and the Philippines is still on lockdown so they can't get any kits to arrive to his place if he wanted to.
@@jmendozaher I wasn't able to watch his stream. So thank you for your reply.
Hey good news, he's doing it in April
@@hyp3rx312 yes he did
thank you for this tutorial
Yoooooooo, this is perfect timing! I just picked up a Master G22 yesterday, and it still has some acrylic gunk from the last owner. Stilling waiting on paints to ship, and trying to find any place that carries the solvents rn. They’re so hard to find...
Alvin Yu just buy some lacquer thinner. Gaianotes, tamiya, whatever. The best solvent for cleaning airbrush, but always use the mask!!
Tbh, this exactly how i clean mine everytime i use it.
How to clean the airbrush tips? Because it has an o-ring rubber and last time I clean it with thinner it broke and the paint can't came out
What if I don't have alcohol or airbrush cleaner. Would Tamiya Acrylic Thinner work as well?
Does anyone know how to remove paint from clear plastic without damaging the plastic?
Can the O Ring put it the ultrasonic cleaner also?
How do you clean in-between color changes?
I’ve seen people put windex in the ultra sonic cleaner, would that work?
sorry im still new too airbrush , do i have to do this for every color ?
No, you don't. You can clean your penbrush by pour some thinner than close the tip with tissue and pull the trigger. It will look like boiled water.
Always use brighter color first.
Do i really need a ultrasonic cleaner?
Hello Studio G, do you reccomend any type of airbrush for gundams and colors too? I have the Citadel Contrast line, but i don't know if they are good for gunpla.
Never tried airbrush, just only details with citadels colors.
Isnt that the whole citadel line is used for handbrush only? I usually see that people recommend vallejo (especially the air model) for airbrush
He said polish compound but mine came with a tube of lubricant. I’m not sure where to use that lubricant. It doesn’t say in the instruction. Is it the same thing as the polish compound he was talking about? Please let me know if you have an idea of what I’m talking about. I might just be really dumb. Thanks 🙏
I have a dual action airbrush and this video is really helpful too. Would the polishers work for any airbrush?
Awesome timing, was going to order a Airbrush set this week!
What about cleaning between colours?
Cyberneticwarmachine quick airbrush cleaner in the cup, use swab to clean the cup and a little brush to clean the needle, than spray the cleaner to a cleaning pot and use another color.
MG Strike's tonight right?
Some one help me every time i finish painting i cleaned the airbrush but when i test it the pain wont come out so plsss help meee
I have had a lot of back and forth on Gunpla groups about ultrasonic cleaners being bad for the airbrush. Supposedly it can damage the welds/solder that holds it together. I have never found this to be the case but I don’t use the ultrasonic cleaner every time. Any advice?
What kind of water do you use for the Ultrasonic Cleaner?
I've read that acetone works as good as an airbrush cleaner
If you have buna-n seals. Otherwise should only be used with full disassembly.
How do fix a sticky trigger?
Ah yes. The trigger springy mechanism thingy. Most people don't use this technical term 😁
Did i destroyed my airbrush?
Cause the nozzle is a ittle loose
Next giveaway in 55k subs pls mg dynames lol
yeet
Touch my airbrush baby
I polished my needle with toothpaste and a brown paper bag
