My GE gtw460asjww has stronger agitation with the Dual action agitator and fills to the top. It has never let me down and has been very reliable the past 2 and a half years
You must have gotten a rare good one then. I see about an 80% first year failure rate - major catastrophic gearbox failure. No big loss though, those GEs guzzle power, guzzle water, and the spin speed is so lame it'll cost you easily 10x what the machine cost over 10 years in excessive drying times.... so better to get them in the junkyard before they can do all that damage to the environment.
AMAZING FIND Kirk! Didn't know that LG had an Agitator Washer! Gonna try to film my GE washer with the lid switch "bypassed" when my parents aren't home!
Kirk I have watched every video of this washer and I honestly have to say that I don't like this washer at all!!! It's way to tempermentle on the spin cycles and waste's way too much water!!! I had an LG top load about 10 years ago and it shot my water bill through the roof with it's constant refilling to try and straighten out off balanced loads!!! Just shut down and sound a buzzer like they had on the older machine's to alert you of an unbalanced load and leave it at that!!! Man is not building rugged reliable washers anymore their building toys!!! Thanks for the video Kirk and have a great day...
You’re absolutely spot on Robert. I feel that they established their brand with higher quality though flawed to begin with products and then flooded the market with cheaper products and higher profit margins on the manufacturer’s end but not for the retailers and certainly not for the benefit of the consumer. For this price a consumer could purchase a Speed Queen TR 3 and have a machine that would last them twice as long which in the long run will have cost them virtually half the amount. To me that’s what it all comes down to. I obtain things and move on and buy something like a fine watch or a piece of Murano art glass and I enjoy other aspects of life. It’s a matter of opportunity cost. One can continue to replace the same thing over and over or they can buy quality infrequently and buy many enjoyable things and have a high quality of life. At least materially. Emotional and spiritual quality of life comes from a different place.
@@LlyleHunter That's just what I did Bruce, I bought a speed Queen front load washer and matching electric dry on 11/4/20 It does all my wash in between 40 to 45 minutes with no hassles, no stopping and starting and no messing around with off balanced loads and a ton of water for another 20 minutes!!! I have better things to do then spend the whole day doing Laundry!!! Have a great one Bruce!!!
@@maryrobert80 With hope you’ve just bought your last washer and dryer pair. Congratulations Robert and the best of luck with it. Now on to the finer things.
with the agitator upgrade I see a major improvement. However I would never buy any of these washers unless the out tub was is made out of metal again instead of cheap plastic and anchored down instead of suspended using cheap coat hangers. I don't trust the safety of these washers as the previous ones from a few years ago exploded.
Compared against Samsung's toploader suspension rods, they might click-and-clack a lot on the spin cycle but they're far more durable than anything Samsung will ever try to pass off as suspension rods.
How much water would this deep wash cycle fill to if you didn't pres the "Deep Fill/Max" button?
Mr. Kirk Rivas, I would love to see an overloaded test, a phone book test, and a deep wash + speed wash test. Thank you

Yup, that’s exactly what they’re building...toys. They give you fancy bells, whistles, and chimes, but not much of anything else.
The Bedding(Bulky)cycle could work good for this as well. Also uses deep water.
I think you need to hold the deep fill button for deep fill max.
That impeller looks like it really beats up the clothes. I like the TC5 Speed Queen impeller much better.
Good Greif I could do a load of laundry by hand in half the time this thing takes,I actually have lol oh well to each their own.
Kirk did you get the new GE top load washer Model # GTW525ACPWD yet??? If so can you do a video on that please??? Thanks
Naw…I’ll go with a commercial washer because at least those last longer. Expensive initially, but cheaper in the long run.
Awesome 720p at 60fps!
I know why their wash cycles are SO long - it is because it takes (forever) to actually get the clothing item submerged and agitated (a bit).
Could you do a comparison of the commercial GE and Maytag washer and dryers?

fyi this dont use cheap close hangers
But the tub is made of stainless steel 🤔

Zero practical. A lot of water waisted and a lot of time consumer.
