I 100% agree with all of these takes (except the bangs one 😆). I also wanted to add that we should all try to buy as much of our wardrobes from small businesses as we can in 2025! As a small business owner who sells vintage, it can be tough at times to operate in this economy. But I do it because I love connecting people with their dream vintage pieces. Amazon doesn't care about you, but small business owners do!
I’m planning to go on a low buy for the first 6 months (no clothes) but I actually increased my grocery budget so I can prioritize farmers markets/small shops for this same reason! And once I can buy clothing again I will def go for small brands & direct secondhand options bc yeah times are getting tough for everyone 😅
i will also bring the idea of outfit repeating to 2025 as i have always reworn my clothes a lot. it is a bit silly to always have a new outfit or only wearing something once. like no if i paid my money for the item, i am getting my moneys worth of wearing cute clothes
I definitely think the decline in quality of clothing and shein tops falling apart after two wears has led to this lol but also normalize having a cartoon character outfit you wear into the ground!

I feel like even having one article of clothing that doesn't get worn more than several times before getting rid of it is bonkers when you really think about it. One of my goals for this year is to solve this problem for myself once and for all.

I am a musical movie truther lol but Nosferatu okay….I liked it but not as much as I thought I would? The costumes were INSANE loved 10/10 the bonnet agenda is spreading but I actually kinda wanted a bit more tension and thought it could’ve been a little scarier🫣 also I couldn’t understand half of what count orlock was saying like please!!!
@ okay yes!!! I loved Nosferatu but absolutely agree that it didn’t necessarily scare me. It was more moody if anything. I did leave obsessed with Lily Rose Depp though. And the costumes were everything!!!
yes the moody vibe and aesthetic was everything! I really like robbert eggers and love his movie the witch so I stan! Lily also GAGGED me the acting was amazing…never watched the idol but happy she could really shine in this!!! that’s the diva!

Can I ask how you feel about buying secondhand faux fur? Couldn't the same argument be used for secondhand faux fur as real fur? The damage is done either way, and seems we should wear and appreciate both. I have some vintage faux fur from some of the earliest manufacturers of faux fur and its obviously way better quality than faux fur now, but its beautiful and I appreciate how it doesn't shed and break down the way my real vintage furs do (which is obviously the problem when it ends up thrown out lol). But the faux furs tend to hold up a bit better imo in some cases which makes them better for consistent wear vs my vintage real fur items i have to be a bit more precious with to make them last
totally fine with second hand faux fur, I have some!I I more so question when people try to bring up the ethics of vintage fur that’s existed for decades vs buying faux fur from fast fashion companies that have ethical issues as well! also why second hand fur is different for some people then second hand leather or suede? It’s like how I don’t eat meat or animal products 90% of the time for my own ethical reasons but I don’t look down on people who eat meat!

Yeh vegan leather destroys the environment of the animal killing more animals then just killing the farmed animal for fur or leather clothes. Baffles me, it's like the paper straws, how long until we run out if trees, when they could spend a bit more money for plant based straws. Drives me nuts too. 😂😂 so destroy the forests instead of the ocean for straws.
