Your review was very informative. Now I want an Eddie but I have never decorated a cookie before. Your bunny cookies are so cute. Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate your thorough review of Eddie. You answered all of the questions that I have about this printer. Thank you!
Thanks, Lisa, for the honest review. #usererror is my favorite term when discussing Eddie since usually mistakes occur due to my misuse or misunderstanding! Love Eddie and he has been another tool in my cookie pocket!!
I bought the Eddie because my hands are very painful and by doing part of my cookie decorating with the Eddie I’m able to continue doing cookies. I’ve had no problems with the Eddie. I use it mostly for writing and some background images instead of constantly airbrushing. I love the sprinkle trays.
Very thorough and honest review - thank you!
thank you so much this was very helpful and yes finally a positive outlook . I needed to hear that,
Thank you
I really want a Eddie, and your feedback really helped
Thank u! I’ve watched a lot of videos and really want one. This was helpful 😊
Thanks for this review! I’m one of the people struggling with Eddie at the moment and feel like there’s some element of luck to getting a well-behaved printer (printers in general are kind of terrible). But there are plenty of folks who’ve owned theirs for years and LOVE them so I’m optimistic that Eddie will be my friend at some point as I continue to dedicate time to troubleshooting and learning. It’s kind of like royal icing. I’ve spent years tweaking my recipe to what works for me and lots of people will have to do the same with Eddie.
Don't give up! Eddie is awesome once you figure out the tricks and what works best for you. Eddie came to live with me almost 1 year ago and I learn new things all the time. I just learned that not removing the white background on pngs/jpgs is what was causing the phantom 'bleeding' that would occur hours after printing. Eddie senses that there is a background and will print what is not visible to the naked eye; this often develops hours after the printing is finished and can be mistaken for bleed. Eddie can be such a time saver and a very valuable tool for your cookie business :)
This was super helpful! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your tips :) What is that cute little dog thing on the window sill behind you?! I couldn't stop staring 😂
Haha this is such a cute comment- it was like a succulent holder I think 🤣
Thank you for your videos! I’m leaning towards getting and Eddie, I have horrible neuropathy from cancer, and looking to save my hands!
I compare it to when edible images came out. Everyone was afraid that no one would want fondant figures or decorations any more. It is a choice and it is both what each person aesthetically likes and also final cost. I have costumers that hate edible images because they are so flat and they want the dimension that hand made/sculpted items give the cake.
Great comparison!
Eddy may do the final step in the cookie production someone still has to design the cookie
Thanks for such a thorough review! Been debating over saving for one. Have to say though, it sounds a bit disappointing to spend so much on one and Then have to spend even more on accessories needed for proper execution! 😕
I think its all about perspective and what you do with it- you will know if it’s right for you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Would you mind sharing your pricing recommendation? I’m going to purchase an Eddie and wasn’t sure if I keep the price consistent with my royal icing prices or if I increase it for logos, etc. I know it’s a broad question- just trying to figure out where to start. Thanks for your honest review; much appreciated!!!
I keep the same pricing for printed vs not. My cookies start at $5 each for a basic 3 inch design - with a 2 doz min order. I'm in northern california :)
@@BorderlandsBakery Appreciate it! Thank you :)
I want to try a cookie made in the machine to see what it's like
Join us one tuesday and we should print some for you and the kids!’ I ate the ones I saved for you, figure we can make em together 😝
Do you have a PC or Mac? Can use your iPhone or IPad for printing designs?
I have used Eddie with both . You have to use a computer, not a mobile device, there is a list of bare minimum equipment requirements on the Primera website :)
Hi, when u say Mac, are u running boot camp or a virtual software? TY
Neither- just printing from preview
@@BorderlandsBakery thank you. It took me a bit to find the settings you spoke of. And I had to connect via usb as Ethernet fails. Grateful
honestly no one can pay me to hand paint 100 cookies lol I will let Eddie do the job. It's a tool that helps, but doesn't replace us. Nothing beats efficiency in this world.
Yes!!
I need to share my hardest order to date on here for youtube 🤣🤣- if i had eddie, I could have slept more lol
@@BorderlandsBakery I can feel the anxiety already 😂
What happens if it breaks???
that’s a valid question for literally anything tool but they have a tech support you can call if shit breaks
The printer is awesome. But, in no way replaces years of real honed in skills.
Its too big lol and if it breaks then what……
