I needed a new Pro controller, so this fit a need. I agree they could've done something a little more special here. Why not make the white handle match Link's arm in-game?
Exactly! Or put some gold print on it with the spiral. Anything other than just have it be white. It's too plain. Hide an emblem on the plastic on the back. Anything at all, lol.

Yeah Nintendo needs to put in more effort with their special edition controllers. Usually they’re just the boring black controller with a sticker on the front and different color handles. Compared to joycons, the pro controller seems like an afterthought. Honestly it’s better to buy a DIY shell kit to make the pro controller pop (much cheaper as well).
@@RobUnwraps i cant find any controller or amiibo anywhere its sold out, the oled i see much more but not sure about the amiibo its always sold out and i wanted to buy this controller but i have the splatoon 2 and it looks better on the photos but know im not sure with your video if i should. Also the game is amazing and and i like the amiibo but sometimes stuff i like doesnt get more value and i would like something special of the franchise, do you think the amiibo will get more value?

Most of the recent amiibo haven't appreciated because they have been reprinting them so I wouldn't buy it because you want it to go up in value. You should buy it when you can because it's awesome. For me the best is still the Xenoblade 2 controller, while I have a modded black pro controller who I painted same Odyssey Red on the faceplate and back while leaving the rest original black. Next update may be hall effect thumbsticks if such thing exists.

The pro controllers in the past have been a lot worse. In my opinion. I find this controller to be a masterpiece with the hylian symbol surrounded by the zonai activation circles, then there’s the uroboros dragon around the analog stick (*chef kiss*) 👨🏽🍳. The aesthetic works well with dock and the joycons. I like the subtle design but I realize it’s not for everyone 🤷🏽
My first impression is the same as yours, although I think it looks a bit better in the video than the marketing pictures. But the reason I'm looking to get one is I'll be using it on PC/Steam Link and I don't want to risk getting an older stock controller with the earlier drift issue that requires the firmware update as I don't have a Switch to do that. That white handle though...
I totally agree with you. I picked mine up from Best Buy yesterday and was so incredibly underwhelmed. I’ve never looked forward to something tech then been so let down upon opening. I’m lucky to have a friend who wants it but I just feel like the art, especially the gold, looks cheap. The triforce design is so cool and I wish they had done more like that, and maybe added some green. I just couldn’t justify not using my regular pro controller that’s only a year old by keeping this.
I agree with everything you said. It's like they had the makings of something wonderful but then didn't finish and gave up. We know they can do it. They do it with Switches and Joycons. I really wish they could hit one out of the park with a pro controller.

is the controller you got perfect like no issues? i got mine with motion controls issue where i have to move right stick to make it work and small drifts on left stick 😞
I'm glad you like it but I find it to be very low effort. They could have done better with all the iconography they have. They should have done something to the back, the triggers, the bumpers, something. They are just the basic black. Even the joycons had symbols on the back.
I agree with you it’s a very disappointing design for such a great iconic game.just look at Xbox Starfield controller..this design is ugly to be honest.minimum effort.I thought the Switch Monster Hunter controller looked decent,and they couldn’t even match that.

I just picked it up. It has the "dots' on both sides. It's just not as visible on the black side. The controller feels just fine in your hands.
