Awesome as always , thanks for sharing your vacation with everyone . Over the past year of following your channel I've had a blast and been helped a lot with your lessons ... enjoy the up coming weekend bud !!!
good to see you on the seven string, somehow that just fits you. coming up with a good riff can be so empowering...i also have much love for chord progressions.......find ,myself leaning more towards the seven strings still love my sixers.......
Man, you've been with me during that whole time of this rocky relationship (and thank you!) But yeah, it just feels natural now! Chord progressions...there's nothing like it! They take you to that really cool place!
@@jasonstallworth still loving the content, just a little sad i can very rarely be online during the live sessions due to being back at work. But that also helps me realise my dreams so its all good
I really like watching your videos, they have helped a lot! I am curios, any chance you could do a video on how to play folk metal? I like listening to viking metal and other similar genres from over seas. Thanks!
Do you actually write the riffs//licks down,or just record them,I know ,Alex Lifeson, recorded his songs, guitar parts ,and Geddy Lee transcribed them, thanks again.
Dude, I'm known for just writing stuff out of nowhere and if its something that really hits me, I'll record it so that I don't forget it, and then go back and build on that later. I really don't do any sort of transcribing though.
@@jasonstallworth Thanks for that Jason, a more organic way,its up to whatever works for you, some folk, seem to think it has to be written down ,bit by bit ,but it varies ,cheers.
DUDE ROCK ON! You clearly forgot to mention facial expressions; the notes won't sound right of you don't crunch your grill alittle while jamming! It won't sound the same otherwise! 🤣😂🤣😂😂
This really helped me out a lot, because I’ve been stuck in a creative rut. Thanks Jason! Keep it metal!
Dude, we all get there and I'm glad this helped!
Your a awesome teacher my friend i learn alot from your videos, i just bought your course looking forward to learning alot from you, thanks Raymond U
Thank you for getting my course...I hope you enjoy it!
@@jasonstallworth I have an 11 day Christmas break coming up I'm looking forward to using the course every day and learning alot .
Definitely food for thought awesome stuff confirmed it all makes a little more sense 🔥
🙏🤘
Damn, adding the 5th above the root note makes it heavy, have heard it but never figure it out, thanks man! :)
Yeah it almost sounds like your downtuned! Now, throw in a 5 string bass and you’ve got a heavy sound!
Great methods Jason!!! 💪😉

Cool video Jason.
Been doing some of the methods you showed when I get bored practicing the same stuff , it's interesting to experiment with music .
Awesome, yeah try these methods...it will really help you change things up!
Whenever I hit a block, I visit your videos. Keep up the good work Jason!
Edit: Would love to see this in a 6 string though!

Man I'd like to do that...I haven't listened to much folk metal so I'll have to brush up!
Another great lesson!! Does anyone have issues with Barre cords. It is my Achilles heel.
Yeah those bar chords can be a bit tough. I'll have to make something for that soon!
Any tips/ videos on the subject of video editing a guitar video?
Dude, I made this video a while back: ua-cam.com/video/cKQjUi9cTPo/v-deo.html

If I get into a creative rut, I just smoke some weed. Then presto! Out comes the creativeness!
Well, it feels like it.
Eh, that's never been my thing but I guess it works for some
DUDE ROCK ON! You clearly forgot to mention facial expressions; the notes won't sound right of you don't crunch your grill alittle while jamming! It won't sound the same otherwise! 🤣😂🤣😂😂
That does impact the sound! lol
@@jasonstallworth I know 😂 I saw you run through a riff that was cool but it was BAADER when you made the facial expression! 😂 Santana will agree... 😁
#6 - get drunk and jam
That's an option, too!
