I plan on getting Ooma's service. However, I want to get their international plan. Does the person overseas needs to have this service? Or will I be able to call anyone, either it being landline or mobile? Thanks!
So on a brand new setup do you need to get it running and configured first and then set up wireless or can you set up wireless while getting it going out of the box?
You skipped the need to disable wireless on the computer. Also need to remove the ethernet cable when the wireless adapter is configuring. The Ping step was helpful.
It said "The website can't be reached" when I click "setup.ooma.com" (I have a MAC desktop), so I can't set up my Ooma with wireless and Bluetooth adapter. Called Ooma support, wasted a long time and didn't get any help. What should I do?
Late reply, but current viewers may benefit from knowing that you may need to disconnect your laptop/pc from the wifi while you are doing the adapter setup. I had to do this with my windows pc before it would connect to the Ooma by the ethernet cable.
THANK YOU! No one ever walked me through this damn thing a year ago. I was sending the thing back. They sent me a new one. I wonder if this is why...I never got onto the page and hooked up. If any of you are having trouble getting to the page on your computer...you can also do this. I am on a mac and not sure if that is why it didn't show up. Make sure your wifi is turned off on your computer too. Per ooma site... If you are unable to connect to setup.ooma.com in Step 5 of the Quick Start Guide, try the following steps: Make sure your computer is connected via Ethernet to the HOME port of the Telo Disable Wi-Fi on the computer you are using to connect to the Ooma Telo Try connecting to 172.27.35.1 in your browser Please visit our contact information page to contact customer support if you are still unable to connect to the Telo web server to configure your Telo Air Wireless Adapter.

I would like to know if how do you connect the ooma device to a 2.4 GHZ instead of 5GhZ ? Because they recommend that it works better into a 2.4 GHz

how is the call quality using WiFi?
Do you have to keep the Ooma device connected to the PC at all times ? I hope not because that would render your laptop as immobile.
+Bob Cleary No. Once you do the initial setup, then you can disconnect it from your PC and use it off your wireless connection.

Why do you need the computer want to place in living room.?
.
What is ping
You can go to start, run, type "cmd". That will bring up a command prompt. Then ping your router. Ping is just a way of testing your connection.
