Lu huh? he plays certain parts even faster(no triplets at the db parts but 16s). also if theres one thing david doesn't have a problem with, its endurance. hell, he plays every blast beat single footed, even ridiculous stuff like fleshgod apocalypse.
Marthyn has the best "cover" - yeah I know he played for Belphegor - but check out his 270bpm version - no fills or any bullshit to make it easier. That is the best version period.

wintersun\m/ that's because it is quite simple. Its all double strokes using the drum head to bounce the stick.
The only issue is that you can't get power behind the strokes so at a gig would need the drum mics cranked right up..

You get epic power out of those push-pull blasts. The only way I've managed to get power out of it is to it with German grip, Kevin Paradis style. Mad respect.

Thank you! Yes, heavy big sticks help a lot because the rebound is more powerful and muuuuuch easier to control. And once you get up to speed it is also good to have heavy sticks because you get more volume with less movement.

I think for this song it depends a lot on your blast beat technique. Wanja uses push and pull, he's basically chilling around at 260 bpm while other drummers wouldn't stand a chance to hokd the tempo.

Slayer David Diepold through a fill in the beginning to rest unlike Nechtan who actually blasted all the way through. Both covers are good. But Nechtan's blasting tops David Diepold.

yep nechtan has this fucking sick push and pull technique but david has tighter fills and played 16th notes doublebass instead of triplets. which isnof course way more difficult.

I think you should also check out toni merkels cover on this song here on yt. He blasted all the way through, in my opinion also a pretty tight cover. Can't decide which is the best one, since david did some stick hits and other mistakes.
