I have a playlist of C64 game footage if you want to keep watching: ua-cam.com/play/PL29Nw7At9Gp30kGeqN4qfrHGb9mpIhAIx.html And a giant playlist of classic games if you want to burn like 200 hours or something. Just leave it running in the background and take a peek now and again: ua-cam.com/play/PL29Nw7At9Gp0CfAhZ1sibVsAAFsGwFc2K.html
So many hours spent playing this game... and I never beat it. I used to pour over the instruction booklet (more like a journal) to figure out what goods to trade with which tribes. good memories.
@@doteaters Most of the scrolling & font code was the same as 7 Cities of gold. I wrote the diary code for this game & did the Africa research at the UofA library.
I just downloaded this game, and I keep running out of money/gifts. So then I try to steal and get shot with a blowdart and then I have no food or gifts, so I pretty much just die.

i loved to play this game as a kid on my C64 back in the 80s. Unfortunately my C64 is long gone. :(
Looks at lot like 7 Cities Of Gold.
It definitely has that same feeling, although the point and click user interface really makes it stand out as something different.
William Hunter looks like a fun game. I never saw it as a kid but l def would have picked it up. Thanks for posting.
