Well done! You could also style the blouses over the pumpkin-colored dress so that it looks like a skirt. Then you probably get your 42 outfits. So many people think that one has to revamp one's wardrobe to go vintage/retro style. But one can always start with a few key things many of which, as you correctly pointed out, one can use with what one already has in their wardrobe.
I LOVE seeing stylish people (not minimalists) build capsules! I adore all my clothes, but sometimes bringing a few key pieces to the forefront for a while, makes getting dressed a lot simpler and quicker.
If hats don't quite suit, headscarves also can be used to give a vintage look, and to potentially cover your rollers or pincurls if your set isn't quite dry. I take the rollers out at the very front and roll them into standing pincurls and then wrap the rest in a headscarf
“Why am I so emotional?” Pregnancy hormones. Plus, it’s just part of being a girl. I 💕 your capsule wardrobe which I would’ve called Mix and Max in olden times. Did you know plus sizes used to be called stylish stout? I’m not kidding. My favorite pieces are the trousers (perfect matching of the tattersall pattern at the front seam), fabulous green blouse, the tartan plaid skirt, and the black sweater. The combinations were really fun to watch. I was sad when we got to 36. Every piece looked high quality, swanky and stylish. Loved it, Kristina.
Thank you for saying to get something that we will feel good in. In what ever style we like. Most videos tell us to get what they wear with no though to what we might like.
I would call the jacket, vest, and cardigan "toppers". One of the reason why I dislike summer is my lack of ability to wear any sort of topper in the heat! And you are rocking those orange pants!
Loved the way you showed all the different outfits and I’m definitely going to pull my plaid skirts out of my closet again. I kind of forgot how to style them more vintage but thanks to you I’ve got some ideas again ❤
I love the blazer! I have a really hard time finding blazers, my upper arms, chest & back are all quite big so unless i can try them on there is no way of knowing if they’ll fit, plus needing cropped styles as a wheelchair user. This one looks so great though, I’ll have to look for a similar one 😊
LTTP, but the bait footwear secret croc flats work from the 30s to the 70s because everyone loves a good pair of flats they can dress up or dress down. I've worn them with jeans and a flowy blouse, cigarette pants and turtleneck sweater, and just about whatever else i throw on. They're more diverse than keds court shoes or Sperry topsiders, which is saying something. Highly recommended.
Thank you for this video! Just in time because I was going to work on my capsule tomorrow and wasn't sure where to start. Always love your hats and smile! ♥️
@@WithLoveKristina Please do! Especially for winter! I just started wearing vintage & vintage repo and I'm not sure how I'm going to keep my legs warm in winter. I'm a midsize mama with big feet! You are so sweet! I think of you whenever I see strawberries as many of us probably do! Hobbit hugs! 😘🍓🍓🍓
You always rock the bold color combos so well! I admire that about you and you look so elegant in them! As for the 5 tips, the purse one is where I fail lol. I'm lazy and will just borrow from my mom if I need to 🤭
What an amazing group of clothing styles you showed us! I love the ending where you open your packages. You're too sweet! Much love to you and your family! ❤️
100% agree with the hair. I love to dress vintage, but my hair… I just don’t want to fuss with it much. And I don’t think we need to strive for perfection. It’s all about picking and choosing what we love about vintage style. :) really enjoyed this video
Oh my goodness, I only discovered your channel yesterday and am so happy I did, I can not believe how many things we both like ( I also have the strawberrie kettle!) Your channel is relaxing and just wonderful to have on while I do other things. You are so lucky to be able to find so many strawberrie items. I am in Scotland but originally come from England.
So many wonderful looks! I Love that orange dress. I like having purses that go with certain outfits or seasons but actually switching them out is such a pain. I remember someone came out with a purse that you bought the inner part with the handle and you could just swap out the exterior because they were hold on with magnets. Haven't seen them in ages but I kick myself for not getting one
I loved your outfits! The green shirt with the waistcoat was especially good. I love a good purse that goes with everything, I carry so much stuff in my "mum purse" that it's a nightmare to swap 😂
This is so great! I love how well they all went together. And I love that plaid skirt. Ive been thinking about getting one of those purses. Still pricey.
I ❤️ all those outfits. I just got the orange/ginger pants from Unique Vintage & love them. Sadly, they are too big & are sold out so I'll be bringing them to a tailor. Wish me luck! I want to copy the styles you created!
New subscriber and really really like this video.... I am all about a capsule and a bit minimalist, and am looking to "go more vintage" ...timeless, classic, but with vintage flair. So this was awesome. Best, Lynne
So cute, and very helpful ideas! Thank you💗 The hair tip for the hats was so helpful, as simple as it was. I always wonder about hair... I have curly hair. Weird, because everyone seems to want some kind of curly hair, but we're in a world of straight hairdos. I don't know how to do my hair😶
I can’t possibly pick just one style creation because you do rock them all! However, if I had to pick just piece it’s that gorgeous green flows blouse! It seemed to work with bringing out each and everything you paired with for a sexy and romantic twist! Tell me…who doesn’t want to look sexy, right? Wonderful video dear girl and I thank you for the fun of watching it!! 🥰😘❤️😍
I’m 5’7” so I am sort of tall? But I also wear heels that make me 5’9” most of the time 😂 60s short shifts are so cute! I can’t wear them because my legs are too long and uhhh… things fall out
I love vintage 40s and 50s style but struggle making outfits. Thank you for this video ! How do you keep a hat on your head when you have short hair ie bob length?
I sent you the tea! xoxo

This was such a great and helpful video! Thank you for sharing! Also, the gifts you received were precious.🥰
The feather hat with the jet dangle earrings and the gingham bow is an especially charming combo on you; I love it!

You are SO good at styling outfits!! They are all wonderful! I really like the black and white, 50’s cardigan sweater. Bravo 👏
The backdrop looks fantastic with this video. Great styling as always.
Your ability to put different pieces together is exceptional, Kristina! Every single piece looked absolutely stunning!
I LOVE this! As a newbie who gets overwhelmed with choices, this helps me a lot!
I'm so glad! I think simplicity is always the right choice when you're just getting into a style!

Very lovely! That hat with the dramatic feathers is simply stunning.
I loved this video! The ending surprises were so sweet too!
Boris and Natasha mug! Wow I remember watching Bullwinkle cartoon…this video was so much fun to watch💕 yes I’m a vintage aged gal…lol
Love mix matching pieces to maximize a wardrobe

Vintage styling queen 👑 I'm obsessed with all the outfits! This is so inspiring for my small wardrobe 🍂 P.S. Your reactions at the end are so sweet 🥹🍓
I always love what you wear and how you style it! xoxoxo.
Incredible work! So much variety from just a few pieces. I loved them all (plus your intro look too!)
This is great and gave me so many styling ideas too! I hate switching out my purses too because I always forget something important 😂
Thank you for this video! Just in time because I was going to work on my capsule tomorrow and wasn't sure where to start. Always love your hats and smile! ♥️

I loooove vests and cardigans.
Very cute items, I love seeing them mixed and matched, so fun!
I’m OBSESSED with that statement blouse!!!!
I just bought a blouse in that green before seeing this
You put in so much effort into this really helpful video!
I love how you made a triptych of every outfit combination. I have not seen that before! I have so many ideas now.😊
Hahah it was borne out of making do with the space I have to film! Thank you!
Love your clothes Kristina, loved , loved the red glittery evening gown xx

AH! I love these so much! I love those UV pants and also your dress you made (with the vintage pumpkin fabric). Math be damned, this was great!

Thank you for this video! This was very helpful!!
These are all SPECTACULAR! Love it! (And I, too, prefer a half-hat over the larger ones😂)
You look tall so things look so good on you. Those pants are divine! I'm only 4'11 so I go with the simple 60's short shifts but I love your style!
I’m 5’7” so I am sort of tall? But I also wear heels that make me 5’9” most of the time 😂 60s short shifts are so cute! I can’t wear them because my legs are too long and uhhh… things fall out
