Why Don't Black Women Smile

- From a glance, most people think that black women are mean because we do not smile often. However, this is not the case. We have things to do and tasks to complete and sometimes these things do not involve a smile. This does not make us mean it makes us busy. It means we are focused.
I'm 23 and when I smile at other black women that seem to be around my age the majority of the time they ignore me or give me a dirty look.

Well I don't smile because it seems to attract people that I don't want to be approached by...some people think that smiling is a come-on..and I am a happy ..bubbly person. A man once told me that if a woman smile at him or if he sees a smiling woman ..he knows that she wants him. I believe that is why a lot of ladies is guarded with that..a lot of thirsty people misread smiling.

Smiles mean nothing unless it's genuinely something that amuses you or makes you happy. Most of the smiles you get in public or at work are fake anyway. After that display of phoniness they'll probably talk about you behind your back.
Black women have it the hardest in relationships family life finding love... If you are constantly being stepped on by the narcissistic hoodlums it's a drain on your soul. This is why black woman are sad.
If you don't believe me. Have a look at all these blk men bullying blk women online. Imagine how it's like for black women who come in contact with these men in real life. It could be their brothers fathers cousins. Then there's this jealousy demon among the men and women this keeps them divided and gossiping putting each other down. The men are the protectors but black women are not protected and valued never have been.
Bear in mind that Black women (for the most part) raised these men.
@@mariabarnhart1217 It hurts. Especially when I give people the benefit of the doubt; which I do about 99% of the time. Black women (as friends) will do damn near the same heartbreaking shit, but in different, non-romantic ways (at least I'M not checking for them in any other way.. Lol)

97% of black folks who come into my work place don't smile or even say thank you and I'm just like I kind of wish I didn't smile so much I feel stupid doing it.

THANK YOU for this video! You do NOT owe any man a smile - unless it is something that comes from you and your heart. And any Man that asks that of you, has issues that have nothing to do with you. Except looking for a way to control someone else. AND as a Black Man, I can say that ABSOLUTELY YES! Black Women smile - and even if they don't it is not ANYBODY's business but theirs for the reason why or why not. When ANY Man tries to put a Woman down about it, it is NOT up to them to please try and please those folks (unless the Woman wishes to do so)......and you owe no one a reason or explanation for WHATEVER emotion you might have on your face.
Maybe, as an observer of humanity, he noticed (from her apparent expression) that the weight of whatever she was thinking made an already beautiful women look worn and weary. You'd be surprised at the change in someone when they smile! Although the approach my have been awkward without asking why she looked so troubled or angry, but SOMETIMES a human could be concerned about another. This has happened to me once when I was deep in thought and asked by a stranger if I was OK. I too reflected on whether I walked around looking mad, etc. I came to the conclusion that someone cared enough to want me to look (and feel) better! Give away a smile for free???? Smiles are free! It cost nothing to give them!

Most women are subject to this commentary. Women aren’t here to stroke male egos by smiling at them just because we cross their path. Don’t you DARE suggest I should smile because it pleases you to watch me do so.

Anyone would look like a complete psychopath with a permanent smile on their face. That's just unrealistic, no matter race or gender. This is a sad stereotype. All too true for black women

Most of the time I think it's because we we're blessed with full lips. When it's on other ethnicities, whether they pay for it or not, it's sexy and sensual. I'm not pouting, I have big lips 💋😕. Maybe I'll curl my lips inward and be deemed as cheerful, bubbly, and approachable 🤔😂

I think you COMPLETELY missed the point. "I don't give my smiles away for free. " Honestly, if you don't give, you don't get. It's actually HARD to smile at our entertain a conversation with most of you because you make some terrible excuse of your bad public demeanor.
