Yes! Lyme is still not well understood. Like you said it is over-hyped! I live in a high tick area and have used nothing on my Husky. I tried natural essential oil sprays of scents that ticks don't like and it doesn't really work. I also tried a device that is supposed to disorient the tick... I didn't find it worked too well. He gets them from time to time even tho I check him everyday. And I remove them as soon as possible. They have a toxin in them that can cause a red ring around the bite but the body can usually take care of that on it own. I like to give manuka honey to him to help his body boost it's healing potential. Good for you for making this video! Over vaxxination is an important topic. In children and pets.
I love reading how aware you are too - and absolutely! Manka honey is a powerful medicine. I use it externally too to heal and flush wounds. It acts as a powerful antibiotic ointment. Nature has the answers - without the extreme side effects. Thank you for sharing your experience and perspective! ❤
I appreciate you sharing topics on your channel my friends bless you. You’re fantastic teachers that’s a compliment in return for you sharing the topic in the video 🤝
Thanks for the lesson. Continue to learn from you so that someday I will be a better Mom for my next friend. Still in recovery from my losses but someday.
Thank you SO much I’ve had the fear in me about ticks ..to the point I didn’t even want to walk my dog in the country! So thanks for this it makes sense.
First thing to say... ohhh Tidus.. always in our hearts. ❤ Then I must say that this is a great video, I'm not surprised about it. You are always so cautious about giving advices, I love that about you, but the best for me is that we think the same way about how to take care of our pups and prevent diseases the best way we think, naturally... I totally agree with all the tips you share, I practice all of them, I feel comfortable with my choice and it works for us. It was so great watching this new video, can't wait to see more of them, you know how much we enjoy them, thanks as always, for sharing all that great information and love with us. All my best wishes for all of you ❤🐺❤
I know. Tidus is ALWAYS with us, forever! There's not a day that goes by that he's not on my mind. We love him so much! Thank you for thinking of him. I'm so glad to read that natural ways work for you and Runa too. We have so many things we must relearn and unlearn, but every step in the holistic direction helps! Sending so much love your way ❤
Glad you like dit - thank you! We'll have all this coming in our training course, more info here: www.huskysquad.com/training-and-bonding-course-for-dogs/
You are so welcome! 😍 so glad you enjoyed it. Here's the sister blog for this video: www.huskysquad.com/prevent-and-get-rid-of-ticks-fleas-on-dogs-safely/
Your dogs have each other so they don’t need a dog park, lol. I don’t do dog parks either that’s why my dog doesn’t get all those unnecessary shots. I follow holistic doctors and buy their holistic products, like Dr. Karen Becker and Dr. Jones aka veterinarian Secrets, my dog eats and drinks clean just as I do. My dog eats raw in the morning and The HonestKitchen clusters in the evening due to Covid. He was completely raw until Covid hit.
haha! Kind of, but dogs definitely need socialization - but I don't find dog parks a great place for that purpose anyways. You're absolutely amazing with your dogs!
I live in Pennsylvania the tick capital of US. I go hiking and backpacking with my dogs all the time. Sometimes I pick off 10 or more ticks from my dog. I don't like using chemicals on my dogs but if I didn't they would definitely get limes disease. Necessary evil
Wow! I had no idea. Sounds like I'd have to experiment on this. I've actually tested vinegar, and the tick survived a 15 min vinegar bath. I've not tried alcohol yet. Thanks for the info!
I use an old pill bottle. I secure the lid, put the date on the bottle (too keep track of how many during the year) and it usually suffocates them. Just my opinion

Kill the tick before flushing it into the toilets, with alcohol, vinegar… .They can survive a long time in water.

@@shelivdj3142 they would have nothing to feed on, that's for sure!
I totally agree. We always burn the ticks before flushing them. 👍
