    Years ago, I worked with some Japanese exchange students from Osaka, and they would have me over to their apartment to help make this. The style was slightly different, and we made each batch differently, but it was delicious every time! I still make it sometimes :-)

    wow, this is a lot of hardwork. im demotivated just watching....

    • @Tehmora
      @Tehmora 10 років тому

      Not entirely. If you were to make a bulk or a few of them, it's easier. This is a video on how to make a single portion of something usually made in bulks in restaurants in Japan. The chefs who make these can make this in practically a minute or two. And about 5 in the same amount of time. There are a lot of videos of them making this. Check them out if you want to, they're pretty cool. ^^

    • @gingybun
      @gingybun 10 років тому

      well but im not making in bulk. im mostly cooking for myself alone at home so.

    • @Tehmora
      @Tehmora 10 років тому

      zhubenn
      Which is why I said "not entirely". It's difficult, yes, but I assume it's because it's more of a party recipe than for one person.
      But that being said, a lot of recipes require a lot of hard work. If you enjoy cooking it shouldn't be so hard. Although again, I'm assuming you have the time to cook.

    • @gingybun
      @gingybun 10 років тому

      Nintendo122333 it's not really "not entirely" for me. because it is either "a lot of handwork" for cooking for one OR "not a lot of handwork" cooking in bulk.

    • @Tehmora
      @Tehmora 10 років тому

      zhubenn For me, "not entirely" means "it depends". ಠ_ಠ

    I had an okonomiyaki in Hiroshima, and it was SO good. But it's just too much food XDD The big mountain of cabbage alone is so much food ! And then a package of noodles, and the bacon, and egg... XD I couldn't finish it !

You are so encouraging and funny and make seemingly difficult recipes very easy to understand - the same ways in which my Japanese mother taught me how to cook. After she passed away, I lost interest in preparing Japanese meals. Thanks to you, I am reminded of how much fun Japanese cooking is and all the happiness it brings! ありがとう!

    Loved your video, a new way to make okonomiyaki. The first time I had okonomiyaki was in Osaka just before going to sumo tournament. You gave your order to the chef and he mixed all the ingredients together with the batter then it was brought to the table / grill with two spatulas and you and your friend cooked it together. The taste was unforgettable.....those were the best days!!
