It was called "Worth Dying For" and yes, we used the band's music. However, the guy that uploaded the video messed up in the name and the UA-cam vid is called "Messes of Men Worth Dy". The camera angle is pretty awful too, but I hope you still enjoy it.
Let them glorify God. That is what they are doing. If it is only to save one life or hundreds, I know I will do whatever i takes to share Gods word....sound familiar? Its what pual talks about in verses related to this years Fine Arts theme. I pray you realize some change is okay! The change that helps others and glorifies God is amazing! Even if you dont like it encouraging words do wonders to those kids! I hope you all have a very good day and smile about all the blessing that surround you(:
People are arguing because they didnt use a christian song? I will admit i was upset the first time i saw this but the fact that they are using a something to capture the hearts of others for Jesus as an effective tool in ministry is a step forward! A break through! Y'all should be excited that these teens are on fire for God and that they are doing something they love and telliing others about a story of Jesus.
I think it's great they used a non Christian song! Because if the ministered this out in public then non believers would hear this song and want to see why they r u sing this song and start asking questions! It would attract people bc they would say hey I know this song lets go check out what they r doing and stuff and u may not this so but any kind of song can be transformed into something positive and be used to spread the word of god! AMEN!
I think the whole point of doing human videos is to get better at what you genuinely enjoy doing, and doing it to reach people for Christ. So, while winning is awesome, it doesn't really matter if you win or not, because if you're doing it for God and God alone, He's going to use it. The "worst" HV in the whole world could reach ONE person, and it would be totally worth it. Keep your eyes on God, and not just winning.
Like Ryan said "Everything we do in fine arts is for ministry" and 'Its not about conforming to the world" Dont you see? They are changing it so it isnt us conforming to the world but the world joining in with us. In stead of being a grumpo go make a human video for this year and bring all the more glory to God! As a drama leader, if somwonw was hating on my drama tema id be saddened because those kids do a lot of hard work. They are highschool students trying to reach out to their peirs.
@hunter parker...bud i saw y'alls video and i loved it!!... it's ok if you didn't like it and i definitely see where everybody's opinion is coming from to a degree but bud lets not be disrespectful or nasty towards these students! Please
I thought the point of Fine Arts was for us to grow in the gifts God has given us and to reach others and share the gospel, not to "win'. Now I'm just a 16 year old student but in my opinion we shouldn't be judging our "competition" so....harshly. I wouldn't want anyone saying stuff like that about H.V.s I've been in, and you probably wouldn't like it either since you think so highly about your video.
I couldn't care less about the song choice. I hated the video. When my HV team got knocked out, I was curious to see who won, because I know I saw some good competition. So when I saw them perform this as winners, I was infuriated. They've got a satan with cerebral palsy, awful movements, and the same terrible stunt throughout the entire thing. My team wasn't good enough to win, but we were better than this!!
i strongly disagree with you....Everything we do in fine arts is intended to be done for ministry. My church does our human videos on the streets sometimes...when you use secular songs especially at the beginning it draws non Christians in to listen and then they watch the whole thing...
Read 1st Corinthians 9:19-23 and to the Punk Rockers who love the song "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" I became a Punk Rocker who loves the song "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" .... You will never win souls by staying in your little "Christian" bubble. This Human video was not conforming to the world at all by using this song. You have to step into the world to pull people out.
One of my favorite human videos ever. Incredible!
So incredible! I could watch this over and over and over again! You guys were amazing!
This is great ministry! You did great (:
