      Honda are doing a slip on SC exhaust for it, I think it keeps the +5hp as well for the SP. Looks so much better. Below is copied from honda:
      Rev up your ride with our Carbon Fibre Slip-On Exhaust! 🚀 Save 2.2kg vs standard exhaust and boost your bike's performance. Priced at £895 for standard & £1,095 for SP. Fully road-legal and EURO 5+ compliant. Order now from your dealer and be ready for launch! 🏍️💨 #Honda#Hondamotorcycles#CB#hornet1000

      The Ducati V2 SF is £14k & 20kg lighter as well as subjectively looking better imo. However it realistically isn't 4k better than this but I'd still rather have the Ducati & pay the extra as an ownership experience tbh. I just don't want or need a 150bhp i4 naked but I see it's appeal obviously.

      I think the new V3 will be aimed at the new 890 supersport category.The CBR 600 rr is not competitive at the top level anymore. Yamaha have the new R9 , replacing the R6 and I think Honda will do the same. The V3 layout is very interesting being a triple but much slimmer. Honda used to make V3 triples back in the 80's with their NS 500 grand prix bike and a road version with the NSR400, both of which were 2 strokes.

    • @fyorbane
      @fyorbane 2 дні тому +2

      I have a Tuono 1100 V4 with cruise control and never use it. Why? Because I don't spend hours on boring motorways. I ride on A and B roads and have an utter blast. If touring or riding many miles to work on motorways then I can see the benefit. But I do not ride bikes for that purpose. I have a car for that.

      @markpearce5793 2 дні тому

      @ Motorways aren’t my roads of choice either. But living in a city it’s the quickest and easiest way to the roads you like. I’m not asking for cruise control as standard just as an option. Personally I’d drop the QS as I don’t track ride, and opt for CC instead. We’ll agree to differ 👍

      The Z is probably even cheaper with all of the good stuff on the SE trim, but 25-ish hp down.

    Looking forward to the on road tests of this bike and some ‘real world’ knee-down stoppie wheelie donut action.

    Still prefer the CB1000R. For me, that’s the bike anyday. Looks good and will be a great ride or even better.

    I'll wait till they put this engine in a something similar to the CB1300. This modern look is soulless, just like all the other modern bikes, like the kawasaki z900 or the mt09. I bought specifically the z900rs because it's beautiful. It's the only bike even ordinary people turn their heads to look at.
