Good honest review. However, M&M have their shares of "Copy - Paste" technology, one has to admit. This is a heavily reworked Alturas G4, complete with the engines and possibly power train as well.. But, I believe, the G4 had a Merc sourced auto box. If not that, this is the Aisin sourced auto box that existed in the XUV 5oo. So, no great shakes there. The fact that there are less alternatives makes the proposition better. Nonetheless, kudos to M&M for a superbly integrated product, they clearly have another winner on their hands. The "new" look and size is due to the G4 shell, compare their dimensions and you will make out. The rear is what M&M excels at, their famous "chop-shop", aka Xylo to Quanto, Tivoli to XUV 3oo, and now, G4 to "Scorpio-N". That's probably why it looks like the Xylo, strange contours and slab looking. The side opening door was to match the Old Scorpio, and they have clearly messed this up. The rear wiper doing only half a semi circle is weird, this must be a problem with this particular piece, I'm sure. The 3rd row seat is useless, it's best to remove it and use it as a 5 seater as the A/C air delivery system is what is found in cars like the Punch ! Only floor mounted rear vents even for the second row is pure madness... My 10 year old TATA ARIA has this vent for the second row (always ON, when the front A/C is ON) , IN ADDITION to pillar mounted 2nd AND 3rd row vents (run by the second A/C, with roof mounted controls) !! There are huge technical design flaws in this car, no doubt, which are probably a result of the recast process from the G4.. Still, it appeals to the masses and will sell, which is what counts in the end. I'm sure M&M brought out this half baked version to test the waters and these will come as "features" in the "facelift" sometime in 2-3 years time. Good going, Mahindra, although your borrow tech is known, but well concealed. BTW, the 2.2 L (2197CC) engine in the XUV 5oo and the Scorpio/Thar et all is actually the Peugeot DW12 derived engine, the exact engine that finds itself in the TATA Safari Storme, ARIA and similar cars. But, advantage M&M with the Ssyangyong collaboration to have an excellent set of engines for their future generations... Be Indian, buy Indian...TATA or M&M, choice is one's own.

My next upgrade from Kia seltos diesel will be Scorpio-N diesel manual 4by2 Z8. But iam not sure whether the Mahindra made engine will be as perfect as the Hyundai-Kia’s CRDi diesel engine
with all the three rows up boot space is negligible, not even a duffle bag wouldn't fit in there properly.... with the 3rd row folded space is enough for 2 large suitcases and some small bags, also the boot floor isnt flat
Bro screen is not calculated horizontally or vertically, the diagonal is measured for any kind of screen. So its 8 inch by diagonal. Thanks again for great review.
Plan to book one z8L 4*4 installing universal sliding mechanism in second row and I believe it has a second AC coil....will install woof ac from Innova let's see how it works ....will remove all the flaws form it... aftermarket...... cheaper than fourtune plus all the fun ....😄
Hydraulic hatch rear tailgate would have been a welcome addition to the new Scorpio. The side opening tailgate has lots of issues which no one discusses. It's a big missed opportunity for a premium upgrade by Mahindra.
Mr robot is spot on....bigdaddy has no space for a bottle....? .... design team is sleeping...apart from emotional thing...any day harrier is better in space availability...and don't forget Innova....the king of big Daddy...but Scorpio is Scorpio...they should do some more refined on gears...
While I’m not too impressed with the new Scorpio N given my huge expectations from Pratap Bose who designed captivating cars like Harrier/Safari, the front end is still acceptable to an extent. The rear is a fiasco. They completely copied Volvo tail lights but the overall shape of the rear still does not resonate the appeal of the front end.
@beast : Well, Safari had to tradeoff with its rear design given Tata chose to keep the same wheelbase as Harrier, keep the length under 5m (to take tax benefit) and still offer a comfortable third row seat. And mind you that Safari offer the best third row seats amongst all the cars that offer third row seats in its segment. As they say, “you cannot have your cake and eat it too”. Though, if I had to choose the rear end between ScorpioN and Safari, I’d got with the latter. It’s a subjective opinion.
I disagree with third row ac vent issue ! SCORPIO N have dual Separate AC , seprate unit for front and back , u can have ac on in back even if first row ac is completely off , two different coil and condenser, its anyway better than any other car having third row ac vents , coz they have only one front ac and only vents in 2nd row and third row! Here we are getting 2 ac units ! Anyone with sane iq can tell what cool first one ac with 3 row vents or 2 ac with 2 row vents !
If AC unit was available for rear passenger 2 Row...then Temprature adjustment control would also had been there....which is clearly missing. Its a blower control only
Bro, screen size diagonally measure karte hai, & again you impressed with your presentation techniques. Kudos 👏🏻🙌🏻 you are great at your job 👍🏻 Also I love your cartalaap episode on EVs with Gagan bhai..! You both are great minds 🙏🏻
Great review Yogi! Btw the fact that the engine is at 2200 - 2300 rpm at 100 kmph in top gear has nothing to do with the engine but the way the transmission cogs are spaced. If Mahindra engineering team had kept a taller 6th gear the rpm would have been lower and the fuel efficiency a tad better however in that case the lower end torque would have suffered so they have tried to hit a sweet spot between both the parameters. Additionally the torque converter also has a higher frictional loss as compared to a manual transmission therefore the net horsepower delivered at the wheels is also less albeit a small percentage.
Totally. And that’s the reason I didn’t blame the engine for that but the way powertrain (engine & the gearbox) is being put up. In fact, it’s very well controlled on the torque converter as the engine revs around 2000rpm mark at around 100kph. The issue was with the manual unit.
True that. Like your style of presentation and look forward to more content. I felt the ending was a bit abrupt, maybe you have a follow up episode up your sleeve :).

Kitna bhi gari ka review dekhalo apka review ka Bina adhura hai. Geting actual review of cars. Awesome get going from Manash Guwahati Assam
I will wait for his facelift in few years❤❤❤
Ur voice tonality and way of explanation is great 👍
most awaited review, Thanks yogi sir!
ICN is pro.... You can be sure to get the most unbiased reviews unlike some other youtubers.
Design like land cruiser
My next upgrade from Kia seltos diesel will be Scorpio-N diesel manual 4by2 Z8. But iam not sure whether the Mahindra made engine will be as perfect as the Hyundai-Kia’s CRDi diesel engine
I've seen roughly all the reviews for this car..and this is the best one....
Thank you...
I was wondering if they shared the bootspace in liters ?
with all the three rows up boot space is negligible, not even a duffle bag wouldn't fit in there properly.... with the 3rd row folded space is enough for 2 large suitcases and some small bags, also the boot floor isnt flat
Impressive and detailed review. Jahan jahan pe kami reh gyi h gadi me usko bakhoobi bataya gaya h. Great work @icnstudio
The aggressive macho look has been toned down which is dissapointing everything else is awesome👍
Third row koi kaam ka nhi hai aur big daddy bolke chutiya bana rha hai.
I
But has great road presence
Bro india me ek hi do 8 seater hai jiska 7 seats useable hai.
Aisa 7 sater banane ka kya matlab jab ise hi naa kar paaye.
This scorpion N series is dhamaal .
Bro screen is not calculated horizontally or vertically, the diagonal is measured for any kind of screen. So its 8 inch by diagonal.
Thanks again for great review.
Plan to book one z8L 4*4 installing universal sliding mechanism in second row
and I believe it has a second AC coil....will install woof ac from Innova let's see how it works ....will remove all the flaws form it... aftermarket...... cheaper than fourtune plus all the fun ....😄
Its not a SUV or car..its an emotion ❤️
Lodu😀

in the first 1 min...cannot put my finger on it..but this looks like a giant car including the world around....with respect to the anchor height
Hydraulic hatch rear tailgate would have been a welcome addition to the new Scorpio. The side opening tailgate has lots of issues which no one discusses. It's a big missed opportunity for a premium upgrade by Mahindra.
Mahindra has to learn still a lot, sadly..
Most awaited vid viki bhai..
If one need to drink water in running scorpio, he will say driver gaadi roko sahab ko paani peena hai.😂😂😂
Big daddy is so big k pani pine k lie gadi rokna padega
Mr robot is spot on....bigdaddy has no space for a bottle....? .... design team is sleeping...apart from emotional thing...any day harrier is better in space availability...and don't forget Innova....the king of big Daddy...but Scorpio is Scorpio...they should do some more refined on gears...
The Kabir Khan moment and the children's head dangling window err sun roof was spot on !!!
To each his own.
@@Nameless-iz3ko : Yeah…that’s right. Looks are a subjective matter.
@beast : As noted earlier, looks are a subjective matter. I didn’t find the rear of Safari/Harrier any shitty at all. Period!!
couldn't agree more
@beast : Well, Safari had to tradeoff with its rear design given Tata chose to keep the same wheelbase as Harrier, keep the length under 5m (to take tax benefit) and still offer a comfortable third row seat.
Which one you personally recommend in XUV700 vs Scorpio N
4WD is only available with AT or with MT also?
Available in manual too
Love the way you review cars....clear and crisp....and cherry on the cake is your voice ❤️
It is looking more superior product than XUV 700
100 % Agreed bro👍
@@bharatwadkarjain8628 👍

Aap ke bolne tareeka bahut solid hai 👌👌
Its a blower control only
Best review of scorpioN. A customer oriented sing gentleman tone and manners and body language.
Bro, screen size diagonally measure karte hai, & again you impressed with your presentation techniques.
Kudos 👏🏻🙌🏻 you are great at your job 👍🏻
Also I love your cartalaap episode on EVs with Gagan bhai..!
You both are great minds 🙏🏻
Love from GUJRAT ♥️.... GJ 09

Frankly saying :- The New Scorpio is overrated, Even XUV700 is overrated. TATA Rocks, No competition of Harrier and Safari.
Lmao noob spotted
Tata ke engine khud ke nai hai, Mahindra ne khud ke engine develop kare hai😐😐😐
I agree that Mahindra is overrated but at the same time tata cars are not great they are mediocre or good at best
Comedy.
Lol Mahindra cars overrated? Bruh most overrated car is tata harrier no feature and so costly
Thank you sir aap ne bhout ache se bataya complet 3rd row tak samaj giya you are good and your voice is also nice 😊👍
This is really big daddy SUV ❤
Sir,
You can promote safe driving by overtaking from correct lane instead of undertaking 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Damdar, Jordar our review shandar ,
back camera sahi kar de scorpio n jisme legg thoda jyada hai and back seat 60 to 40 karna chahiye aur flat honi chahiye jaise harrier safari me hoti hai, z6 se alloy wheels deni chahiye,,, front seat ventilated honi chahiye thi,,,, engine start stop button hona chhaiye key wala thoda old lagta hai... seat thoda middle and third row aur thoda comfortable hona chahiye bcz itna paisa koi lagayga to comfortable and features bhi honi chaiye safari me kaafi behtar hai
Vikaj sir jab rivals ki baat hoti hai to log aur company ki cars ko bhul jaate hain ya competition ki baat ho to jaise log ford ko neglect karte the Aaj kya hua itni behtreen company India se chali gayi aur wahi same cheez aur bhi company k saath hota just like the Jeep Scorpio'N ko sb log bol rahe hain kisse copare kare aur kayi log safari se kar rahe hain jaise k aapne bhi bola lekin sir actually Scorpio'N Jeep meredian ki rival hai agar price k hisaab se baat karen aur 4wheel drive aur terrain management k according baat karen to...
Hope you get my point sir mai bas chahta hun ford k saath hua wo aur company k Naa ho endeavour is real favourite car I'm missing the new gen Everest in India.

Bro......Liked the point to switch off hazards in Rainy Season. People are Noobs....they follow the heard. You got fog lamps for that. Here in Hyderabad i was amazed when it was raining and on Outer ring road, the police signboards displayed to use hazards!!!

I have taken test drive and seen small point like -
wireless charging which is not work , showroom people were saying that it is test car so it is not working
and next point is that they have used cheap material for seat belt nut-bolt cover cap, which pop out
important point is that at this cost no passenger seat electric adjustment.
Best review I saw of Scorpio N. Most practical and honest review. Great job
