    I've been a fan of Burson Audio equipment for several years now and I own a Conductor GT headphone Amp.
    What gets my heckle up, is the fact that if these 'Supercharger' power supplies do indeed make such a difference, why are $3,000+ amplifiers shipped with the same mediocre, 'it does the job' power supply that comes with a budget friendly $500 amp?
    There's always something else, isn't there?

      I absolutely agree. And there’s also the angle where it keeps you wondering if it all actually matters or works.
      I mean, why the hell would a $3k+ top-tier amp wouldn’t come with something like this? Furthermore, why some are sold by companies that don’t even have an option for something lime these Burson power supplies?
      Right?
      Anyway, Burson does some fantastic stuff. Geez

      @@TechHyped Certainly not knocking Burson equipment. Their amplifiers are in another league altogether. They are pricey, but the attention to detail is amazing. CNC machined 'cool cases' that look fantastic, the design, even the layout on the inside is spectacular. And of course, the performance speaks for itself.

      Sounds amazing! Any tips for a fellow creator on how to get more collabs with brands? 😅

      Considering you've got more subs than me already bro, I don't know if I'm the one who should be giving out tips here hahaha..
      Anyway, in my case, I haven't sent out a ton of e-mails or reached out through instagram for example... I just went in with my own cash, bought the items I wanted to review, did the reviews and posted them. That was it... And I still do that quite a lot (more than whatever comes from brands, really).
      Don't know how's the PR situation where you live though, that also plays a part in how easy or difficult it is for vendors and brands to be able to send or lend you stuff for review, obviously.

      @@TechHyped makes sense. I do mostly the same, purchase them myself first. I occasionally get free stuff to review or give away.🙂

    BURSON FUNK + V6 vs Marantz 8003 for bookshelf?

  • @villageroma

    Is that a liner power supply?.. if not what's the point then???

    • @TechHyped
      @TechHyped  2 роки тому +1

      From just the info they provide, its not linear but works with a higher frequency lowering dc power-to-noise ratio, which also doubles down on the speed at which it can charge capacitors, theoretically giving them juice to build up and fire/work quicker and in higher-paced succession.
      Engineering be damned, the difference is *actually audible*.
      Kinda insane if you ask me…. And I was totally skeptical when they asked if I wanted to test and maybe review their power supply… I mean… a power brick is a power brick, right?
      Yeah… turns out it isn’t.

      I found that with my Ca1a it wasn't an upgrade. It seems to push everything forward, it seems to "supercharge" each freq and pushes them forward but at the same time it seems to kill the intricacies with the Ca1a. The 3xp has some kind of weird voodoo synergy with stock power brick that is frustrating since I spent the big bucks on this 3a supercharger 😆

      As I said in the review, I haven’t tried any special power supply like this before, be it from Burson or any other brand, so I can’t compare ;/

    The prices you state in this video are wrong. The burson 3 amp supercharger IS actually $284 USD and not AUD.

    • @TechHyped
      @TechHyped  2 місяці тому

      When the review was posted, the prices were in AUD…. If they’re that ins USD now, I’m not sure the value proposition would be the same… But then, again, stuff got quite a bit more expensive in the last 2 (almost 3) years… ;/
