I just put this bracelet on my original bead blasted strap version. I can’t believe I finally have a bracelet for this watch. I had tried many different bracelet configurations in the past. Oh boy, this bracelet is a game changer. It is a beautifully made bracelet and the fit and finish is absolutely perfect. Thank you Mark for taking on this project and delivering a great product.
I bought my first Lunar Pilot to commemorate a payload I worked on for NASA's CLPS program landing on the moon. I later found out that watch was counterfeit. Already stinging from the loss of money I found a good deal on a 96A225 and made peace with the fact that I wouldn't get to experience the LP on a bracelet (the scam bracelet didn't fit, I wasn't too ashamed to try). At least I had a genuine piece! I'm so thankful that you've lessened the sting of the scam *and* I'm glad, after years of enjoying your content here and with TGV, that I can support your business.
Yes, the blasted watch with a not-quite-matched bracelet leaves something to be desired. Mark fixed it. The matching, blasted bracelet looks fantastic!
@@islandwatchalready ordered! But looks like I left the Chrono ruining cuz the battery is dead. Should be ready by the time the bracelet arrives though! 🤦♂️
Thank you so much Mark I foolishly purchased the strap version when i got mine, been chasing a bracelet ever since and NO-ONE had anything available - I really appreciate you looking out for us strap only owners!
I have over 200 watches in my collection and my Lunar Pilot is one of my top 5 favorites. That clasp makes this an easy buy....even was able to use my CROWN POINTS! Thanks Mark!
I've had my eye on a Lunar Pilot for a while, now. When I pull the trigger, I've got to get one of these bracelets!! The zero-micro-adjustment butterfly clasp was a bit worrisome, but you fixed that problem rather nicely!
I ordered one for my 45mm polished… I can’t wait for it to arrive here in the UK. Fantastic service from Long Island, making the purchase easy. Thank you!
This video brought me so much joy. I was always frustrated that my lunar pilot that came with a leather and strap couldn't take the metal bracelet because of dimensions and pin home location. I think my has a Mate finish .... Gonna get me the right bracelet right away.
I got BRAC-106 for my ref. 96B258, and man I'm over the moon with this bracelet. I felt confident I'd like it when I ordered it, but it's such a big improvement in comfort, and it looks right on the watch. *IT'S HONESTLY SUCH A BIG SCORE!!!* I told myself the stock bracelet was okay, but it wasn't. Now I'm reaching for my Lunar Pilot all the time. Even if I reduce my collection down to 6 watches, the Lunar Pilot will still be included, because of this bracelet. *GET YOURS! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A LUNAR PILOT, GET ONE AND THEN GET ONE OF THESE BRACELETS. IF YOU NEED TO GAIN WEIGHT FOR THE WATCH TO FIT ON YOUR WRIST, EAT MORE. THIS IS FRIGGIN QUARTZ HEAVEN.*
Wow, good offering. I love my Lunar Pilot 96B251, but usually prefer bracelets to straps. I'm definitely going to order the bead blasted one. I have a largish wrist so I've never had an issue with the size of the watch, unlike some others.
That's fantastic, one of the biggest problems with the Lunar Pilot has always been the weird fact the bracelet and strap versions have different springbar locations, this fixes that!
This is a game changer for me, had my Lunar pilot on a nato for a while and was debating putting it on the bracelet for winter...now I'll probably get one of these bracelets 😍
Ordered it for my 95B251. Very excited to have a new look, even though I love the leather patch on the strap with the DOM and frequency. That would have been awesome to engrave on the clasp.
The 262k movement is fantastic, and at +/- 10 seconds per YEAR that's essentially perfect time keeping. My only watches that can top that must cheat by syncing to an atomic clock. If anyone is thinking of buying any Lunar Pilot that comes with a strap, a bracelet is a must upgrade. The watch heads are heavy in a way even some auto divers might not be. You want it balanced. For my black version bought a few years ago, I found an "engineer" style in matching brushed that pairs great IMO. It only has straight links because it's a generic bracelet but for me the "engineer" style suits this watch very well. Steal my idea but with matching end links for the PVD, Marc!
Love that you did a blasted bracelet for the 96B251 special edition that came with the two straps! I have that one and the straps are… meh at best! After I’ve recovered from the Northport purchase, I’ll be picking one up 😅
Great review Marc regarding your strap selection, I own both the 45mm none bracelet version & the 43mm snoopy with the supplied butterfly bracelet untapered, which to be honest I have swapped for a blue sailcloth strap it looks awesome.
I’ve owned the 45mm for a while and… didn’t realize people disliked the bracelet. But it was my first bracelet watch so I don’t have a great basis for comparison though… I’ll have to look into this particular product.
Just got mine today for the big brushed model and I love it. One weird bit is the screws seemed "broken" but then they all looked this way. There is a pin and then the part with the threads and they kind of wiggle. Seemed weird but it works fine. I woke up and was like "I really need to find a better bracelet for that thing" and while I was looking to see if anybody sold one, this video showed up in my list.
Was really looking forward to this but $145 plus postage to the UK! 😳 Fortunately I got a good fit with the stock bracelet which is pretty good to be fair.
Thx Mark, for making these bracelets. i got myself a blue Lunar since last week (what a piece!). Your bracelet looks like a nice upgrade, although I think the clasp is not the most elegant. It looks like you used the same one as San Martin does. I like how this clasp works, but it's a bit to bulky for me. Also, I'd love to see your logo on the clasp somewhere. A part from that the bracelet looks awesome.. I'll consider buying one. cheers x
Thanks for doing this Marc! I can't buy one of your bracelets :-( as I live in South Africa, but I have a Gen 1 Lunar Pilot and have always hated the bracelet, so much that I wear the watch on a parachute strap. A commentator once said the Lunar Pilot looks like it was tossed together from the spares bin, and it does - but so was the original - but geez Bulova, a butterfly clasp? On a chrono tool watch that went to the moon? The strap doesn't even match the case at all! Great job Marc!
And I was just thinking there wasn't anything I'd sourced from LIW recently... I have the special edition that came with the NATO with the coordinates on it. I've been running it on this really thick, stiff leather rallye strap but believe it's time for a change. That will look great on it! Great job Marc! P. S. I have the 96B251 and just want to make sure that the BRAC-107 is the one I should choose...
Mark, I love your bracelets, you need to make one for the glycine combat sub, there is a ton of them out there and I know I would love a J style one for my 42mm combat sub !
I’d love to see an oyster style bracelet for the baby alpinists as only the green version came with a bracelet. And if you came up with one that has on the fly micro adjust that would really be awesome!
@@islandwatch Side note. The uncle strap version (the only one available on the market) is not specifically made for the baby alpinist so the fit isn't all that great. You'd be the first to launch one truly made for it.
