    I think this proves that they really do need 2 bangles to open the door home. 1 is just too unstable, never mind the fact that the bangle feels like it's somewhat sentient, being able to not only engrave Aisha's last words onto itself, show visions to people who had contact with it at some point in time, and actually taking actions by itself without any command from others.

    It was definitely a very oddly-paced episode. Mainly the second half.

    Great episode. I had some thoughts on the rift scene. I think that you are right about Najima sending her Noor to Kamran to activate his latent powers. Right before she crystallized, her eyes glowed and it looked like she was connected to the rift. That connection probably allowed her to send her Noor before she died. I also think she realized in that moment that she wasn't gonna be able to safely go home, so she gave her energy to her son. I'm willing to bet that Aisha knew they couldn't ever go back and it wasn't safe, and that's why she stole the bangle and ran. She knew Najima's obsession with the bangle would get them killed.
    They've established that Kamala and Kamran are the only ones that can fully use their powers because they were born in this world. I believe that's precisely why Najima and the other woman died trying to go through the rift. I think if Kamala or Kamran came into contact with the rift energy they would coccoon and emerge changed like an Inhuman. It would make sense since they have a different relationship with that energy. I think a version of this will happen in the finale. In a way this would absolutely be a terrigenesis like transformation like the comics. Only instead of a terrigen bomb it would be Noor energy from the Noor realm. I'm stoked to find out.

    i really just wish they gave these shows more episodes to flesh the stories out more

    I think we definitely needed more time with Najma. Not much more but enough to really feel like she would sacrifice herself. And yeah, that seems to be an issue with time that I think would really resolve with an additional episode or more than one to let these things breathe. Give side characters room to develop gradually.

    I have always thought that both the Marvel shows and the Star Wars shows need more episodes. I think the shows are great but they have to compact everything into 6 episodes, which I think sells the shows short. Of course its one of the reasons why I am looking forward to Andor.

    Kamran’s Mom was the last of the banished to be alive. So when she died it closed the portal. Before she died, she transferred her powers to Kamran.

    I legit had something come up while watching this that distracted me for..I feel like was only a minute or two, and completely missed the portal resolution. Had to go back and rewatch it. That whole thing really was dealt with in a "blink and you'll miss it" moment.

    It seems like Aisha used a bit of her power to get Kamala back in the past (although it seems like she was trying to get her daughter Sana and overshot) -- I think in the same vein -- before they die they're able to use a bit of their powers -- and Najma knew the power of the portal (?) could be given to Kamran and he wouldn't die because he was born here. -- Loved this episode but wish it was better paced in the last half.

    You're forgetting Omni that they were split up and were to meet up later but couldn't. Now we see that they couldn't get back together because Aisha was being chased by the British soldier. She stayed at Hasan's and unintentionally fell in love. She had no way to contact the others so she made a life and had a baby.

    Since Kamran, in the comics, is another Inhuman who was created by the Terragenesis bomb, I think the Noor/Jinn thing is replacing the Inhumans who where too close to the X-Men in any case. Especially since the X-Men are coming to the MCU.
    In the comics Kamran was a childhood friend of Kamalas.
    I like the idea that they use something more mythical to replace the inhuman stories.
    The Inhuman TV series ruined the Inhuman angle anyway 😋
    Still love this series and the super hero angle is definitive just a secondary topic and I like it, which I would not have expected.

    • @FinalStigma
      @FinalStigma 2 роки тому +1

      With regards to the Inhuman being too close to X-Men thingy, I doubt that's the reason why the change was made. I think it's just impossible, story-wise speaking, to have her powers manifest as an Inhuman without access to the terrigen mist. After all, the terrigen bomb
      was the result of a comic-book event. Normally, Inhumans would have to undergo a ritual for them to get access to the mist. On the other hand, if they had made her power manifest due to ingesting the fish oil pills from AoS, then the question becomes, why is it only happening so many years later? Pretty sure fish oil pill expires within 2 years.

    My theory is next episode, Kamala and Kamran will get super hero suits and going to deal with DODC stuffs then messed up with the Veil. And when things start to get out of hands, an avenger shows up to help save the day (may be Captain Marvel or Banner or Wong).

    Great, now I'm starting to believe Steve is Peggy's mysterious husband all along, not her husband on a divergent reality, it would makes sense why the TVA tolerate it. Changing the past contradicts the reason you even time travel, take Days of Future Past, Logan changing the past actually contradicts the whole reason he traveled back, it's a Paradox. So to correct a Paradox, a branch reality is created. But what Steve and Kamala did is a loop, not a Paradox, they don't contradict the reason they traveled back. If Kamala hadn't help Young Sana there, a Nexus event would have happened there, which I don't think the TVA can prune anymore. Same goes for if Steve moved on from Peggy in Endgame, a branch reality where Peggy married someone else would have been created

      Finally someone gets it, Kamala didnt change our timeline, she made sure our timeline is what it supposed to be. People compare that to killing baby thanos idea in endgame when its pretty much opposite. Both thanos and kamala's grandma live and are impacting our timeline with their actions, so killing thanos would create new timeline and same would happen if kamala's grandma Would not be saved.

    • @kvoltti
      @kvoltti 2 роки тому +1

      It’s still a paradox, it’s called the bootstrap paradox. Kamala goes back to save her grandmother but if her grandmother was lost how would Kamala ever have been born in the first place to go back and save her.

    IMO the six episodes formula isn't working. For me it looks like the writers finish their story and than have to add or remove parts of the script. I understand this for a show on cable but not on a streaming service. If the story needs 7 or 8 episodes, or only 5, use the amount of episodes that are needed to tell the story.

    I wonder if Ep 6 will be a tie in to She Hulk. Maybe Jennifer Walters helps clear Kamran. I'd love it if Matt Murdock defended Kamran like he did Peter Parker, setting him up as a foe to DoDC. But I doubt that would happen. I think we're all expecting a Carol Danvers cameo.

    The back-half of the episode's pacing hurts it a bit and I'd argue it's the weakest of the bunch, but that just goes to show how entertaining the show actually is because I still really enjoyed this one. I'd give it an 8/10.

  • @Sdcchistorian

    Everyone is talking about the actual 6 episode count as an issue. It's not the episode count, it's the writers putting too much into 6 episodes. The writers here wanted to be ambitious and I love that they went this far with it,it does hinder other storylines, but that's the risk. You can totally tell a Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Falcon & Winter Soldier story in 6 episodes. The problem is the writers are putting so much in that it's hard to resolve all these different stories in 6. And I highly doubt DIsney is going to do more. The writers need to learn to work with the time frame they have, instead of trying to do too much. Still, with that being said, I think the writers here went for something they believed in, knowing they might not get a second season, and wanted to tell this partition story.

    Worst episode of any MCU series. Not that anything bad happened, just what a waste of time. clocked in at like 34 minutes minus credits, and over half of it was a flashback showing everything we already knew. Then the present day storyline resolution was rushed and done in about 3 minutes. And the stuff with Kamala's mom was anti-climatic compared to how the mother has been acting all along. Just... acceptance immediately. wtf

    • @pnwajs3532

      Back to add a comment. I do want to say, the first half of episode IS very well done, the actors in the flashback are excellent. The writing on this episode just feels rushed and lazy once we leave the flashback. A lot of these MCU shows do this towards the end, but this was handled the worst. I do still have hopes that next weeks episode is a banger. Though I do worry this was all done to set Kamran up as an enemy.
