I wish I had something like this when I was a kid. Tonka was pretty cool, but RC is so much fun. I think you have shown another dozer that seemed really powerful. At least the ants seemed scared! :) I'm not really in the market for construction equipment, but they sure look cool and even the full size ones can be fun to operate. I always enjoy seeing this side of your collection

It’s hard to get a good quality but not too expensive Dozer as the next ones up I’ve seen are in the thousands. If you find a good one let me know please mate. Thanks for your honest review as I nearly bought one.

It might have happened but the dozer is very lightweight. I have serious reservations about its durability, too. Plastic gears and already something's clicking inside after my boy played with it once. He's not a rough kid either - this thing is not a good machine for playing, though it looks cool.
@@RCTNT thankyou so much for your honesty and great video I watched it all again this morning then realised you replied 😀 😊 I want something like this but I don't want the clicking gears, I wish the hydrolic dozers wernt so expensive, might just have to save, I would like something smaller but need that weight also to have it scale and look correctly, plus I'm thinking of doing proper atual work with a scale model, I have to do some earth moving under my house but there's no room for any human so I'm thinking something like this with FPV cameras mounted and a work station with screens 😀
If you're serious about it, the RC4WD ones are pretty good. That weight makes a huge difference. I really wouldn't bother with this little toy for anything more than playing around in loose dirt, sand and gravel.
I took the ripper off and added a 1"thick x 1/2" block of steel the mount with two sided tape to my dozer where the ripper goes. Unbelievable difference
You can add weight to it and it will push better. My dozer is a Huina 1554. Looks pretty much the same as this but has a plastic blade and runs on a 7.4 lithium ion battery. I cut up some builders lead flashing (that I had lying around) and hot glued it into the engine cover area and over the tracks and anywhere it would fit. About a half a kg I reckon. It certainly pushes a lot better and it has plenty power left yet to spin the tracks cos it still could use more weight but I am pretty sure it will be a lot better once I get the weight right. Just have to spread it evenly in there and the rear is a lot harder to find room for it. When it was stock though, it couldnt push much at all.
@@RCTNT No worries. I should mention that I took the top off it and glued this stuff on the inside of it. The areas above the tracks are on the outside alright but not easily seen unless you know its there.
@RCTNT no worries man. I would be lying if I said it was my idea though. I watched a lot of videos about these machines and that was where I found out that. Also, another guy had an idea to cut some car wiper blades into small sections and glue them onto the tracks of his dozer. Every third section of them. It requires cutting off the 2 little rubber nubs on them first and then gluing the sections of wiper blades onto the now flat surface. I have also done this but I keep losing a few every time I use it but that is probably because I was pushing wet sand on concrete while clearing the area I dug the sand off of previously. They might have stayed on if they were on a more forgiving surface. The idea is to make the tracks more aggressive and grip better and coupled with the extra weight, it makes the dozer way better at pushing the material, sand or dirt etc. I definitely saw improvement so far but I'm not quite sure how much more weight I can add before I cross the line between improvement and crippling the thing 😆
Well I really unfortunately don’t have much to say.. But I have bought things that left me wanting more. But I’ve also been surprised at times. I bought a $15 Banggood four-wheel-drive remote control truck that has surprised me for the whole year it drifts good! Jumps. Does amazing donuts. I my grandkids terrorized it For the whole summer. And it keeps asking for more. I’ve never even had the hood off of it. So I was nicely surprised. For $15. This has nothing to do with your dozer! Except for hoping somethings not a complete waste.
Heh, I get you. This one wasn't a waste at all. My boy loves it - and he often isn't overly interested in rc stuff. But this thing, yes please, more time in the gravel and sand with his other cars and stuff. It's a winner!
A slight letdown with the scale and lack of proportional throttle, but otherwise it's cooler and seemed more fun than what in my mind an RC bulldozer would be. =)
Dude, this looks fun but the 38kg bigger rc ones will be amazing. Hope to have one of those on screen later this year. RC construction machinery is very entertaining and relaxing to play with, in my experience!
Yeah, that was a disappointment. I guess mostly for you, I guess it can be considered a waste of money. But at least you got a pleasant and nice video out of it. I'm interested in all that RC bulldozer stuff at the moment, I got so much snow that I need to figure something out, but obviously something with way more power. Last week I was very close to spending over 1000E on a Kraton 6s and snowplough, but I decided to research more, it seems to be a lot of work to create something worthwhile... I think I might buy a cheap setup for the Gatekeeper, just to test, but also haven't managed that yet...

Definitely disappointed with the size ,the remote fell apart basically after awhile of use. But I did fill the cab with washers and small bolts to add some weight and cut a bunch of rubber pieces and glued them to the tracks which definitely gave it better traction
I've been roundly disappointed by this thing too. After the 1580 was so good, this little thing was a real letdown. Tell you what though, adding some weight wasn't a bad idea! Nice thinking!
Maybe not in this little toy-like thing, but 12v in something like a Huina 1580 would be cool. I suspect the issue is with those linear actuators - basically a small brushed motor, gearbox and worm thread and nut. Under heavier loads, binding might be an issue, gear strength, even motor size all play into cost vs performance. When you consider that a hydraulic system can be made super strong with a single hefty pump unit and quality lines, even cheap servos will actuate the valves without a problem. Cost to performance for hydraulic just trumps linear actuators considerably, once you're up past the 1580 levels of strength. I'm guessing it's something like this - such decisions usually come down to money!

I wish they'd made it roughly the same size as the excavators in general, in the same way the 1/14 trucks are about the same size as 1/10 cars. It means you can play together better! I'd also love to see a 1592 equivalent in bulldozer. Something that could move like 2 or 3kg of dirt and cost like $250. Heavy enough to be fun yet cheap enough to be realistic for more people, as opposed to the $3k-$4k options currently, which makes them super exclusive. That'd be amazing.
Honestly I'd be considering their wheel loader instead. The 1583 can carry a weight of up to 10 kg and can push up to 1.5 kg. They have a Buy button on their site but you'll find it cheaper on ebay and AliExpress. huinaconstructiontoys.com/products/rc-huina-1583-wheel-loader It's a better option than the tiny dozer. Though now I'm thinking I'd better have a look around and see if there's anything a bit bigger that isn't crazy expensive. I'd love a dozer here too.
The scales on most of these cheap Chinese products a way off, just how they come up with these dimensions, I do not know, one thing is certainly true is that of production tooling and availability of ready parts for these models, they seem to use a generic type of rubber track system and fits all… Standard Motors, gearboxes and electric actuators are generally used throughout the range, it’s nothing new and once commonplace in model railway equipment…the more money you pay, the higher the quality and specifications you will get, together with more specific tooling for a certain type of model….it’s a fun hobby and that’s what it’s all about..just get and play..!
Oh, I completely agree with you there, Paul. I was just curious about you correcting my 1:29 scale calculation with it being 1:20. I thought maybe I'd misidentified the real machine on which this model is based. It's of no consequence, I was simply curious. All good. We've looked at scale on the channel before; its role in things being of a similar size for play with others rather than having to be actually accurate, whether it's for this little dozer or my 1:14 BC8, etc. Cheers

When they gonna start putting 3 or 4s lipos in these things? Especially the escavators. They would rival Hydraulic i think.
