Fun fact: Diaspro's weapon (double handed axe with a pick on the other side) is technically a Pulaski axe, also known as a firefighter's axe! They're often used in rescue efforts to clear the way to victims who've been trapped by rubble, which is a fantastic addition to the symbolism of Diaspro transforming from a damsel in distress into the person doing the actual rescuing!
Why is it that amazing fans come up with better storylines for both characters and the actual show than the original creators? Your version of Dia is absolutely perfect, and it’s really a pity that we never got this character in the show.

I imagine her mom was like the fairy of sand, minerals, or glass, like a lame ass crystal. I imagine when she becomes a specialist, she mixes a little of her gem magic into her fighting, like manifesting amber daggers, encasing her opponents with rubies, or even blinding them with light from diamonds.
Diaspro's gem magic (which theoretically could extend to minerals in general, not just precious ones) would make her a fantastic addition to rescue teams who specialize in extracting victims of natural disasters from rubble. Imagine being trapped under a marble building, then Dia just lifts the whole thing long enough for rescuers to get you out 🤯
I feel like Diaspro would use her fairy form in an emergency where she would need to escape from something or create some kind of shield to protect from an attack- maybe even keeping it for a suspenseful moment where she transforms and blasts the Trix out of the sky to give the Winx an opening. I know you said she’s not actively focussing on being a fairy, but given she’s on the path to redemption i feel like the more positive emotions and healthy mindset have still increased her power even without training extensively. She wouldn’t be anywhere near the Winx in skill, but maybe she doesn’t need to be to get in a lucky shot when it’s not expected.
I am absolutely in love with this rewrite for Diaspro! It felt so cheap how they continued to use her as a villain unable to get better, especially because it seemed to me that she was spoiled yes, but not EVIL. The love potion thing in s3 was...a choice, for sure. Love to see how you allowed her to grow and learn from her mistakes!
Honestly, Her Decision Not To Go Into Battle After They Get Out Of The Dungeons Seems Like A Smart Move To Me. If You Are Aware That You Have Very Little Fighting Capability, It Is Best Not To Get In The Middle Of The Fight, As You Might Become More Of A Liability, Someone Those More Capable Just Have To Divert Their Attention To Rescue. She’s So Cool And I Definitely Think She’s A Little Underestimated :)))
I can't explain how excited I was knowing the minute I got off work I could come home and watch this. I love Dia's redesign, she felt so flat in the show. Describing the way she'd confess to the group, after everything she did, and Bloom giving her a hug had *me* tearing up. And the fact she refuses to change her appearance - can and will kick your ass, but also looks good doing it. I imagine she'd be very well respected among her peers by the end. Out of all your rewrites she's become my favorite ♡

That combined with it being in valtors shape is kind of like a nod to the fact that she's aiming to take him down on behalf of bloom in a way, with the link to volcanoes. Plus the combination of her fairy magic and specialist everything is amazing, kind of like another sign of how much she's grown!

Dang it’s so interesting to see how you decided to change Diaspro’s story As someone who’s also kind of low-key doing a rewrite of Winx Club tho I don’t discuss it with anyone besides my close friends I like to see what other people decide to do. The designs are gorgeous by the way!! What I wanted to convey is, your point of view has been very valuable to my own endeavors with rewriting the show because while I’m doing something very different I’m still inspired by others’ art

I never liked Diaspro (besides her name and overall design) because all she ever was the "petty and spoiled mean rich girl who was constantly at odds with the main character over the affection of love interest" trope which for the most part is unoriginal and overused. I absolutely ADORE your redesign/rewrite of her! Especially since she's become one of my favorite types of character tropes, "spoiled rich girl redemption arc into a self-confident rich girl with a heart of gold that's still a spoiled"

This is my favorite video of the reboot. I almost cried honestly 😢 this story is so well written and powerful. I never cared much about Diaspro, but I love reformed mean girls, and I love female knights. Her story about changing your ways, feeling scared and powerless, and protecting those you hurt, hits me hard🥺 I really wished this reboot became a real series ✨✨✨🫂
I love this design!! Diaspro always felt really underused to me, fairy of gemstones was such a cool concept but they like never showed her using her magic :( it would've been so cool to see her relationship with Bloom AND Flora evolve instead of... *Wildly gestures to the rest of the show* whatever THAT was... I also love that she becomes a Specialist in your rewrite and doesn't initially take Riven's hand - it's such a cool concept!! You've gained yourself a sub, keep it up! :)

Maybe even some sly and evil scheme, where he learns that, but waits and maybe kills her in front of her friends or something like that?
Some years ago i had some headcanon for winx and one of this was that Diaspro, is a fairy but she can't realy control her power and their are kinda weak so she use actual gemstones or crystals like at the start, same as Diaspro, Stella can't controll her powers because she's too powerfull so che use the solaria staff for tone down her power and be less dengerous
I would definitely like to one day! It would just be much work making them into storyboards/comics/something that I don't know how possible it would be by myself. I've actually written out plot synopses for a bunch of episodes in season 1 just for fun and I'll probably keep going, so we'll see lol
