Do you think there will be a day when a team pays a severance to a player to transfer? UT-Quinn vs Arch

It's a simple issue to solve. You put NIL in the hands of the players. Let them negotiate their own deals. Take the schools out of it. The lawsuit was about controlling their NIL and profiting from it. If a dealership wants a player to be their spokesmen then let them reach out to the player. If the players uses anything school like jersey then the school gets 10%. The student can sell autographs, sign jerseys let them make what someone is willing to pay. Giving the student athletes full control over their NIL. It really is that simple.

I wonder about Ohtanei’s money cz since he’s getting paid in dollars and the yen is ¥158 per $1.
So while he’s in Japan his money has nearly 60% more powerful.
He is like a god in Japan. lol

I say shut it all down . Let the pro sports start leagues for these kids . College sports were started as a revenue stream for colleges to keep tuition down and to get your school in the eyes of people to attract more students. This has totally ruined college sports. Pro athletes make way to much and now 18 year old kids make way to much. You will soon see how many of these kids get in way to much trouble with all this money look at Lacy .My days of spending my extra money on college games , and apparel is over . 10 maybe more years will show this all to be true

💯🎯 It’s only a matter of time until a major lawsuit is brought in Federal Court to address this highly discriminatory practice.
When a player reaches the age of majority and is legally able to enter into a contract, that player should be able to freely contract with the employer of his choosing.
The current mandate that the NFL won’t consider a player as being “draft eligible” for three years after the individual has reached the age of majority is highly discriminatory.
But it’s gonna take a big, national law firm to have the chops and financial wherewithal to proceed against the NFL. Could be the largest ever organization of a class action type of legal challenge. 💯

Only thing that matters is does the NCAA have enough legal muscle, and friends in high places, to enforce this latest hustle they're going to try to impose. I don't see why or how they would. They're gonna revenue-share, and they'll still have all the NIL on top of that. And they got no new legal or ethical leg to stand on. CFB fans hate NIL with a passion. But they don't count for anything. We're still a nation of laws. And the courts didn't say anything about NIL. That was the NCAA's big idea, because they would get in real trouble if they tried to keep cashing in on that. So they let that one go. But so-called 'amateurism' was what they actually got busted for. Illegally blocking these players from making money under pain of expulsion. And they plan on keeping that. They'll let the players wet their beaks, because their backs are against the wall, but the schools still unilaterally call the shots. And I think that's what's going to get 'em in trouble yet again.
They're going to have to collective-bargain. Or hopefully CFB just breaks away from the NCAA altogether. But the schools don't want that, they want all the money for themselves, or as much as they can hold onto, and they're not ready to give up on the NCAA just yet. Hard to say what boosters will think. I'm sure they hate NIL as much as anyone, but they still want good players on their teams.
